I had 4 hours to kill at the airport, and decided to go to MAC. Crystal and Jam were total sweethearts and Crystal helped me with my blush+highlight shade. They were very helpful and didn't make me feel pressured or rushed, like I usually feel in cosmetic shops. In the end I bought a Mac fix plus radiance, since money was tight at the end of my trip and I still have blush and highlight I need to hit pan on before I buy another. Additionally, I saw Crystal helping an elderly man pick out St. Germain lipstick for his significant other (a task that took over 20+ mins, she stood there and gave him recommendations, swatched things for him, and was so patient and sweet.) it truly touched my heart. This was one of the worst experiences I've had at a cosmetics store. I had just lost my makeup bag during my travels and only had about 10 minutes before boarding my flight to replace a few essential items. I stopped at the MAC store hoping for some quick assistance, but the experience was disappointing from the moment I walked in. The associate immediately told me they had very little inventory because the store was closing soon. Rather than offering help, she seemed annoyed that I was there and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Feeling rushed, I purchased a few items that unfortunately ended up being the wrong shades. Afterward, I stopped at Chanel, and the difference was night and day. The associate there showed genuine empathy about losing my makeup bag, offered suggestions on how I might be able to locate it, and quickly helped me find replacement products that actually matched my needs. The level of customer service was exceptional. I understand stores have closing procedures, but customers should never feel like they're a burden for walking into a business during operating hours. What a wonderful retail experience. I was assisted by Paris, she was so patient and attentive, she helped me find all the products I needed and more. The stock is limited but the store was impeccable. Paris recommended a great product to use while flying as a primer, all day hydration that also has vitamin C. Just came in for a quick layover and needed some lip liner to go with a go to shade I've been using for years. Jazmin not sure if that's how she spells are name but she was so sweet! I entered this store/kiosk on July 28th around 2:00 pm, just killing time and noticed that neither of the ladies in the store spoke, no hello..no can I assist you? NADA! I watched a few other ladies walk in. The tall lady whom I believe is transgender went over to help her but disregarded me. Possibly because I'm an older woman in my 50's...not sure! But still CUTE and Slaying it too boo boo kitties! All the while I never saw her or the Caucasian young lady with brown hair who worked there ever smile or look remotely like they enjoyed their jobs!! Unfortunately, I did not get either of their names. I had to flag the brunette down to ask a question and she begrudgingly helped and then rang me up. I told her that I had never experienced HORRIBLE service at MAC until that moment in time and that I would be writing a review about it. I left her with a very confused look on her face!! Management, MAC is an iconic brand and every employee should act like they love what they do instead of looking as if they wished you would have never walked in the door! It was a pleasant airport retail experience. The initial reason for the visit was because the flight attendant was wearing a pretty red lip color. I asked about the brand. She said it was MAC and she also provided the name of it. I knew I had to have it. While we waited for the Skylink, the flight attendant came over and showed me the lip color and packaging. She also provided a compelling presentation of the lip color that had me sold. As we were walking along, we stumbled upon the MAC store. Since I needed a few items that I didn't purchase prior to my trip, this was an ideal time to stop in. I told the salesperson what I was looking for and she knew exactly what I needed and offered the opportunity to try it. I tried it, loved it and purchased it. Though the overall merchandise appeared a little more limited from mall locations, the prices were comparable to other MAC stores. The salesperson was friendly and helpful. The presentation of the store was clean and on par with the MAC brand. The transaction flowed smoothly and efficiently. While she conducted the transaction, she also provided some great ideas for things to do in Dallas when we are not just passing through. read more

I used to be a MAC Artist also and was VERY displeased by the fact that the three women working ignored me the whole time I was there. I had a long layover in Dallas and had a chance to spend some time here. This store has a surprisingly large range of products for being so small--definitely more than you would find in a typical mall MAC in a department store. The staff here were SO helpful and since they weren't super busy when I was in, they offered to redo my entire face of makeup to show me some products and colors I hadn't tried before. They even put some things on, decided there were other things they wanted me to try, and re-did their own work. I was really impressed with the service and had great chats with the women doing my make-up, as well. I had just popped in to buy the same foundation powder I normally use, but ended up with a few fun new lip and eye colors I am still regularly using and get lots of compliments on. Absolutely awful customer service. Walked in and there were 2 sales associates standing there gabbing about lipstick. I walked up to them to ask a question about eyeliner (I ran out and needed to buy some for my vacation) stood there for about a minute before walking out. One of the associates looked at me, but none of them bothered to greet me or offer to help. I've never tried Mac before, and I won't ever after that experience. Looks like Ulta is keeping my business. I'd rather go make up free than support a business with awful customer service. read more
