I was so impressed by this very robust Sephora store. The customer service is exceptional. Brittney my Beauty Advisor, was patient & helped me in navigating the purchases I wanted to make. I was like a kid in the candy store when I saw the full Pat McGrath & Fashion Fair displays. I literally stocked up on the things I needed; because once I arrive back home I wouldn't be able to walk in a store & find them :( If I decide to relocate to Chicago this will definitely be my store! Thanks for being so awesome Michigan Ave Sephora!

People here were actually nicer than my local Sephora and loved the vibe!

I scheduled a same day appointment with Cami to get makeup done for a themed wedding. She was amazing. She talked me through the whole process and made me look amazing. Well done Cami.

AARON + sidekicks KRIS + JAN. Unbiased classes + products tailored to you, your face & needs. Variety of products give you OPTIONS galore. [YouTube doesn't work] Great of AARON to differentiate the pre-makeup peels according to your routine in NO-MAKEUP MAKEUP. Peels by DR DENNIS GROSS, NEOGEN. Since I used the same IT BB Cream at home, I could tell the difference in face texture with or without the peels. Thank you for the unofficial, off topic LIP BALMS as I have been recently frustrated and confused by them. I'm most appreciative of KRIS for quickly helping me in my lateness for WINGED EYELINER CLASS. Quick to point out my hooded-eye challenge. A revelation that I have to greatly extend my angle, that violates the brow tip to liner tail concept. VERY HAPPY with the angular design. Thank you! 2 more events to attend. Obsessed. Kind JAN calls us "regulars" instead of fanatics, OCD, etc. We LOVE Makeup! [Don't blame us. Cleopatra started it. :-)]

I LOVE this Sephora! They've got an excellent selection of products and lots of chairs if you want a makeover (either 15 min, 45, or 90 min). For the 45 min or 90 min makeover, you need to sign up online for an appointment. You simply check in with any Sephora rep and they'll set you up with your consultant. My consultant was fantastic and asked what I wanted, what event it was for, and what I wanted to learn. I absolutely loved the end product and even learned a few skills along the way. Makeovers are a great way to test their products to see if they last over the course of a day and I can better test how they feel on my skin before committing to buying the product. The best thing about this experience is they will send you an email of all the products that were used for your makeover! No more stress with needing to remember every product we used and what color it was! I ultimately ended up buying a majority of the products from my makeover since I had such a great experience! I also shopped around this store for perfumes for some family members and discovered that they have a initial engraving machine - I believe the only one in the Midwest. For select perfume bottles that you buy that have a flat surface (so no round bottles of perfumes), they can engrave initials onto the perfume bottle to personalize it FREE OF CHARGE! The engraving comes in gold or silver to match whatever perfume you get. Such a great perk for presents and another reason this will be my go to store always for purchasing Sephora products in person.

I found this after getting a pastry from Seedo's Levantine Bakery (a Palestinian-owned bakery) and…read moreneeded to get flowers for a my of mate. It's such a lovely shop tucked away on Dearborn; the Monadnock Building's history is fascinating too that's all captured in its Wikipedia page. Field & Florist has niche perfumes and divine, custom floral arrangement services, but I came specifically for the latter; I highly, highly recommend them if you're looking for unique fragrances and/or florals. You can also purchase your own stems to make your own bouquet, but if you have an inspiration (yet are short on time), I highly recommend using their serviecs to curate a beautiful bouquet. You can also work with them to pair a fragrance with your florals - I cannot wait to be back in Chicago to stop by them again! If you enter from the street, stay focused on the stairs; if you need wheelchair/mobility impaired access, I'd go through the side building access (by Intelligentsia). All doors are heavy either way, so be careful there too. For floral arrangements: Let them know what your inspiration is and your budget, and they'll work with you. For me, it was Sriracha tofu and I was looking for something under $100; and the florist definitely came through. I loved how quickly they picked up on the white and red themes, and incorporated the The entire experience was extremely low pressure and its a very clam environment. They make sure to ask if you need a wet bag if you won't be able to get your flowers into a vase in less than 3 hours; that's an ~$10 charge, but extremely valuable for me as I was walking around downtown with the flowers for 3 hours and wasn't able to get it into a vase for another 6 hours. I do wish I'd picked up some perfumes - they had the d'Annam, as well as a few other niche brands, that I'd been eyeing for years. So, so happy I got to smell them at long last. In addition to the testers, they give you 2 samples when you make a fragrance purchase and they do up to 3 decants in the store in case you're having a hard time deciding. If you need to wait, I recommend stopping by Intelligentsia - in the same building - before heading back over to view, accept, & pay for your order.

They carry independent and niche brands, which is what I like. I went to smell some Zernell Gillie, but I ended up taking home a Fzotic. I could've spent all day in there, and I only scratched the surface on their impressive lineup. Heidi was super helpful, and was kind enough to smell scents on me and give her feedback! And if that weren't enough, they have a beautiful selection of flowers. I'll be back!

We ended up getting a little lost trying to find the store, but we called and they gave us much better directions than our GPS! Ruben greeted us when we arrived, and he was so kind and helpful. The store is larger than the downtown location and has a really cool industrial, rustic feel. What I appreciated most was that I never felt pressured or rushed. Ruben took his time, answered all of my questions, and made the entire experience enjoyable. Mady made my bottle of Vanille 44, and she was awesome! She even let me record her making my bottle so I could capture the experience for content, which I really appreciated. I absolutely LOVE my Vanille 44 and have since placed over-the-phone orders of Gaiac 10 (also made by Mady), and Another 13. Jill made my bottle of Another 13, and she was wonderful as well. Every interaction I've had with this store has been such a positive experience. Le Labo makes elite fragrances, but the service is just as exceptional. When you're purchasing fragrances at this price point, the experience matters, and this location absolutely delivers. I'll definitely be back!

I was disheartened to find out that they were out of the Gaiac 10 and Osmanthus samples, but they informed me that they have the juice to make the full sizes starting Sept 1. So, I ordered the Gaiac 10 and Osmanthus online, and bought several other samples in person. I truly had a great time bantering about fragrance with Ruben, and look forward to coming back after Sept 1 - most likely to get a Gaiac 10 bottle. Nathan described it perfectly when he said it's intimate but long lasting. It's the perfect scent intensity for my sensitive nose. I only wish they made Gaiac hand lotion too!
