My experience at this store was absolutely horrendous. I would never, ever return here. I went into the Boca Raton Towne Center location in May to purchase blush and concealers. My sister and I asked a woman for help with picking blush. She showed us one, then we asked her about concealers so she walked us over to the NARS counter. She pointed out their creamy concealer and then simply walked away. She didn't ask us if we needed any help with shades. She simply walked away. My sister was looking for a sample of the NARS concealer & none were available. We looked around, each employee was busy. My sister knew the shade she needed, so she tried one from the box since she was going to buy it anyway. The woman who helped us earlier suddenly came & rudely told my sister she saw her from afar trying on the concealer & that my sister must purchase it. She was talking to her like a child, talking down to her. My sister is a married woman, a mother, a college graduate, an adult. I then informed the employee that she cannot force someone to purchase a product. She then threatened to call the manager & tried to intimidate us by standing in the aisle so that we couldn't go by. I informed her we weren't stealing anything & we were planning on purchasing it but because she was rude, we would be leaving. She legally could not make my sister buy anything against her will. There are no signs that directly say a customer cannot try a product on, or saying that one must buy a product of it is sampled from the box. My sister was going to buy it, but because of this employee's rudeness, we walked away. Plus - she walked away only to be staring at us from a distance? If she saw my sister try it from the box, she should've walked over since she saw we needed help. I wrote to Sephora and was told I would be getting a call from the manager but I never did. read more

Very very very very upset after leaving this store. I adore sephora and have been a loyal client for years, however, I am so upset I could cry. I was sampling foundations and the makeup artist got it all over the bottom of my white dress. I asked everyone in the store and NO ONE wanted to help me. I have to leave the mall now because I'm upset and wearing a ruined stained dress. No one cared, the girl who stained it ignored me. Very awful experience. Let me mention that all of the employees here are very pleasant and helpful. Mario rang up my purchases and is very personable with a chill attitude that I immediately gravitated towards. Lol. Ingrid helped my mom find a natural look by custom blending different concealers and foundations. She really knows her stuff. She was very sweet and told my mom how to use all of the products by giving her tips on how to maintain her makeup. My mom looks years younger and absolutely gorgeous (she was already gorgeous, just now it's enhanced, lol). We couldn't stop thanking Ingrid. It's very refreshing to shop at Sephora, because I always feel that they are ready and willing to help you bring out your inner diva. Grrrrrr. There are other locations closer to where I live, but I think I'll most likely frequent this location due to the polite customer service. $200+ later, I am ready for my Mexican voyage and my mom looks and feels years younger. So I went in on Sunday with money to burn. I needed new make up and a fair amount of it...and I wanted to switch things up from what I've been using so I needed help. And, with all the people who work in that store, can you believe that I was not helped??? It was just chaotic and noisy in the store (and no I'm not some old person who can't hang there). I had parked near Macy's and actually walked out of my way to get to Sephora and for nothing. One gal attempted to help but I guess my 5-7 minutes was up or she lost interest in me or something and she seriously left me high and dry. It was mind boggling. I'm there ready to drop $200 or more in a store that has more sales associates per square foot than any other store in the mall and I got NO HELP. So I went back to Macy's and spent my money there. And though I had wanted to earn rewards at Sephora, I soon came to grips that the tiny, worthless samples you have to spend reward points on at Sephora are generously doled out for free at the department stores. The beauty uber-store. I really miss the flagship location in New York (it closed) but tnow there are Sephora's popping up all over. Believe it or not, Sephora has really streamlined their brand selections over the years. They used to carry TOO MANY brands. Now it's just about right. Since I am in the beauty biz and hate paying retail - I usually browse and try products here - but buy elsewhere. However, I will say that in a pinch I run here for things I really need now - like Caudalie, MUFE (Make Up For Ever) and Ojon Hair Care. This is like the grocery store for me. I joined a friend who neeeded a few items and ended up leaving with some merchandise myself. As we entered, we were greeted and the sales associate helped my friend with what she needed. In the end, we were assisted by Angel who helped me test out Makeup Forever's concealer and powder. He was extremely patient, answering all my questions and addressing my concerns. The amount of disrespect this store location has for its customers is disgraceful. Brought my daughter here to find a gift for her friend and was looking at the fragrances. She tried testing some out and I noticed one of the workers with grey hair and glasses looking over at us as if we were in attempt to steal. We ignored it and went to the counter and instead overheard the man with grey hair and glasses gossiping about my daughter to his other co-worker as if we were going to steal and accusing us indirectly. This is a terrible example of customer service and management should look into training their employees to not accuse things so publicly, especially due to one's skin tone or appearance. We purchased our things and left but this is a terrible location and I will not be returning here. I love the products. But this is about a particular employee. A curly haired cute thin lady was obnoxious and inconsiderate. She lied to me and my sister so she could give the 2 last products to a white woman. She could have given us 1 product and the other lady 1 but she didn't want to. Then she went on to say you know how long this lady has been standing here . And I'm thinking in my head I should have said it, not freaking long considering I didn't see the lady standing there when I was entering the store or roaming around. I know nothing about fragrances and perfumes and he took the time to explain everything to me, as I was buying cologne as a gift and was not well educated on what I was buying. I find it funny that everyone on here says that this Sephora doesn't service clients, because every time I come in all I am is bothered by people. Sometimes I just want to shop in peace, and I don't need some one popping over every 2 seconds to see how I'm doing. I was fine 2 minutes ago when you asked me, I'm still fine. It's almost like they are hovering over me to make sure I'm not stealing. If I walk away with a product into another part of the store, that doesn't mean I'm stealing; I want to see something else. Also the Fenty area is a disorganized mess. Colors are all over the place and I couldn't find what I needed as it wasn't in the right spot. I did manage to find it eventually. Another thing too, I find it weird that there are literally no single eyeshadows to buy, everything is in a palette. I don't want to spend $50-$130 on a palette if I'm only going to use one color. read more

Every employee needs an attitude adjustment or needs to be trained properly on how to treat customers while they are shopping here or when taking one of their classes ! There is a certain rotation of staff at this location that has convinced me to take my business to Ulta beauty indefinitely. I have been pondering changing up my skincare line/routine for a couple months after noticing that some of the products I've used over the last year are drying out my skin and not improving some of the concerns that I had. I used to be a VIB Rouge for the last 2-3 years and my sister was a VIB and nearing the $1,000 mark to achieve Rouge status. I had always appreciated Sephora's willingness to allow consumers to try products on or sample products before we buy to ensure that it was a great fit. Additionally my dermatologist has always instilled in me that it takes 21-28 days for the true effects of a new skincare regimen to be noticed and evaluated. All of this information in mind my sister and I took a trip to this location with the fullest intent to reap the benefits of the product knowledge and opinions of the professionals we spoke with, however we were treated very poorly. My sister had the great idea to take advantage of their complimentary mini facial, as it was not during peak hours and we could explain our concerns and hopefully get a little pampered while we were at it. Instead we were asked if we intended to make a purchase, I explained that we would not be buying skincare today, since we needed to see the long term effects of the products used, but that I would be replacing my mascara and possibly a hair styling tool if they had it on the shelf and my sister was undecided. We asked if we could take some samples of the products to be used to ensure that we were making the right purchase when we came back, if all went well. The woman in the skincare section in the back told us that this service was for paying customers only, and that if we weren't going to buy anything from skincare we could not have the complimentary facial. My sister pointed out the sign behind her that said *no purchase necessary* to which the woman flared her nostrils and said in a raised tone, that they did not have to waste their products on people who couldn't buy them. This sent my blood boiling and I informed the woman that we fully intended on buying products after knowing for certain that we would be happy with our purchase, it was unreasonable to expect people to spend hundreds of dollars on a product that's been applied to YOUR SKIN once in a store, and be perfectly okay with that. She said people do it all the time. I said not smart people. My sister told me she was going to get a manager and I said no let's just leave and we will spend our money elsewhere, she made it evident by her attitude and rude snort that she was perfectly okay with paying customers walking out the door unhappy. So that's just what we did. Im embarrassed for this entire location, I've spent thousands of dollars with them over the years, and to be honest I would have spent half that amount at Ulta for the EXACT same products. I just bought today on AMAZON the T3 Whirl Trio Styling wand which is at sephora for $270, I paid $250. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

Oh Sephora. I love you and hate you so much at the same time. I am definitely a makeup girl with my ultimate weaknesses being nail polish, eye shadow, and mascara, so Sephora is kind of like heaven to me. This location is located inside the Town Center mall, and if you park at Sears you will be able to get a decent spot and find yourself relatively close to Sephora as you come in (for some reason there is always parking at Sears, I guess Boca people don't shop at Sears). Sephora offers pretty much every major makeup brand you could want and this location is good about having lots of testers out with q-tips and cotton balls. I find all makeup testers a little gross, but this Sephora keeps the ick factor pretty low. I do find the floor staff here slightly overbearing, but to be fair, I really don't like to be spoken to when I shop, so saying hi and trying to help me find things is really just their job, but I would prefer to be left alone and approach them when I need something. This particular visit I was here to pick up a certain mascara. I had ordered a mascara sampler online which included five trial size mascaras and a coupon to get a full size of the one you liked best. For $25 this was an amazing deal since it is essentially like getting five travel mascaras for free. I found the mascara display and was pleased to see that they grouped all their best selling mascaras in one area rather than scattering them about by their respective brand. This made it a lot easier to find what I wanted. The line was a little long but they called another cashier over and it moved more quickly. I was impressed that the cashier was able to handle the coupon transaction with such ease. Maybe they see a lot of these free mascara coupons, but I was still afraid there would be some sort of issue with ringing it up. Thankfully everything went smoothly and they wrapped it up in red tissue paper and placed it in a bag. BTW if you ever need a gift in a hurry grabbing something from Sephora is always a good call, the bags are very sleek and look like gift bags and once they throw that red tissue paper in there, no need to wrap. Joining Sephora's beauty insider club is a must as every dollar you spend gets you a point towards travel sized items and deluxe samples and you get a free item during your birthday month(the past two years it has been the Philosophy birthday cake body wash is a very generous travel portion, but I'm not sure if that's always the case). The insider club and the email coupons that come along with it make the prices here a little more bearable, but it is important to consider that in higher end cosmetics there really aren't that many deals to be had, prices are pretty much set, so you're lucky to earn points and get a coupon here and there. read more

My make up artist Aly is amazing. She's very talented, and kind. I loved my make up. She takes her time with you. 5 stars for HER. However, the store management is ridiculous. I made a purchase and bought 2 $60 make up palettes and chose to surprise my artist with one as a Christmas gift... The store did not let her keep it and YET they didn't call me. The artist took it upon herself and called me on my voicemail to explain. I call the store and they said they put the item back on the shelf... When I didn't even return it yet!!! And yet they weren't even going to make me aware of any of this... Stealing money from a rouge member. Nice way to treat people who spend a significant amount of money at Sephora. I completely understand "no tips" however, a gift should be able to be accepted. And if it's not... Tell your customer! Now I have to drive 40 minutes to get my money back because the managers couldn't void the transaction for me. Very unhelpful and unethical. I'll take my business to Ulta or Macy's. read more

This store is a joke. Went to return a faulty hair iron. You'd think for the inconvenience of having to come back to return a faulty item they would give me a small plastic bag to put my samples in since I was walking home not driving (getting my steps in). I asked two employees and the girl behind the register all three of them said it was for customers only. WORST STORE EVER. I've gone into this store a few times and each time, im treated worse. Today, i was followed around the store and treated as if i was shoplifting. I was minding my own business reading the ingredients off the back of one of the products and a lady came around and asked if she could help. I said no thank you i'm just looking. So instead of her leaving, she just stood very close behind me and just stared at me. I said thank you again for your help, meaning walk away and leave me be and she continued to watch me like a hawk. So, i make my way over to smell some perfumes and the old lady at the perfumes start shoving perfume samples at me and forcing me to tell her what i wanted to try, after i had already said i was just looking around and smelling the ones i wanted. She then decided to stand an inch away from and tell me not to pull down my mask under my nose to smell the perfume sample. Mind you, my mask was barely under my nose as i was swelling the perfume and then i would put it back up in between. She proceed to tell me to put the perfume under me mask to smell, which makes no f*ing sense to rub it on your face and put it back. Stupid karen. She told me about 3 more times and i told her no thanks i'm good and told her that if i needed help i would ask her. She was standing up my ass and wouldn't leave. Walked around the store for a few more items and was watched and followed. All the sales associates are rude and have nothing better to do than harass customers. Would never come back. I have never had as bad of an experience at Sephora as I've had here. I am a Sephora junkie from upstate New York and I came here with my friend who lives close by in Florida. I regularly go into my local Sephora for a new look or advice on something new. My friend is a little new to a daily makeup routine so we went in intending to get a simple everyday makeup look. After two separate visits I was so disappointed. On our first visit we were pawned off on a brand ambassador who could only show us products form her brand. On our second visit we waited for 20 minutes just to get some help. When we finally found someone to help us (Debby) we were told that a makeup look would be considered a full makeover and would only be available with a $50 purchase. Then when I asked if my friend could get some samples of tinted moisturizers I was told we would have to wait even longer for someone to "run all over the store" to make samples. Finally we found someone ready and willing to help us but she was pulled away in 5 different directions. I'm not sure if it's that all of the employees are zoned to certain areas, which I have also never seen before, or if there are just not enough people on the floor, but something is very wrong with this Sephora. It's hard enough to find one person to help you but in this store you need about 10 different people to get a comprehensive makeup look. read more

This store is big and has lots of options. It was mostly clean but did not have the best lighting. The staff were the biggest issue for me. There were so many people just standing around. It took me a long time to find someone who would actually help me with a product. The person who "helped" me wasn't even that helpful. I asked him about one product and he disregarded that and totally pushed a different product on me. It wasn't a horrible experience but definitely not the one I would expect from Sephora. I think I will stick to Ulta and MAC when shopping in stores. read more

I have mixed feelings about this location, my older Sephora back in Michigan was amazing, best customer service, but here it seems like associates are doing you a favor to help you, when asked for foundation somebody said "oh no go to the front and ask"way to treat your Rouge customers, I honestly stopped buying as much at Sephora becuase of the service I receive here which is consistently poor, except for the gentleman in the fragrance department, he is a sweet heart and he deserves 5 stars, I guess I haven't immersed into the Boca culture yet. read more

The store is beautiful and clean. Only downfall is that this is a smaller location and they do not carry all of the brands. I LOVE the Giorgio Armani line and they do not carry it at this Sephora. I hate driving all the way down to Aventura to purchase this line with my Sephora card. The manager did let me know that they are working on getting that line in this location and when they do this will be a 5 star store! The staff is amazing and super friendly. They hooked me up with many samples and helped my friends who were new to makeup. We had a great girls day! read more

I just had a horrible experience with the older lady with blonde hair who works there. I ended up walking out of Sephora not even getting what I wanted because she was so rude. She pretty much demanded me to take a hand basket after I told her "no thank you I don't need one", I had an eyebrow pencil in my hand and was looking at the foundation, even after saying no thank you she told me well you need to take one so I said "no I'm okay I only have 2 things" (eyebrow pencil and possibly the foundation I was looking at), so she tells me again well take the basket because our glass bottles are breakable (mind you I didn't even decide on the foundation color yet and had an Eyebrow pencil box that is not breakable) needless to say she wouldn't stop so I took the hand basket because it became embarrassing. It's Pretty sad when my 11 year old daughter who was with me picked up on how rude/demanding she was being! I guess I will just order my products online for now on! read more

I guess the $100-$200 I spend in there every-time I shop there does not matter to the employees whom my spending as well as other customers $$ pays them. This will be the last time I shop there. I was helped by Dane. He gave me the best customer service experience I've ever had. I've never made skincare and makeup a large part of my routine. I've always been very go with the flow, eh, about my routines. As a result, I've never really felt comfortable or welcomed in high-end beauty stores. I definitely didn't get that feeling from Dane. It didn't matter at all that I came in wearing next to no makeup. Dane listened to my needs and concerns and even recommended products to me. I told him my concern with my foundation was that it would dry out my skin and as a result I didn't wear it anymore. I wanted to try the new Too Faced - Born This Way and Kat Von D. He matched my colour to both brands and gave me samples. He didn't stop there. He explained his OWN routines and how his philosophy works regarding his routines and makeup. It made him seem a bit more human to me I guess, and not this amazing beauty god. We chatted a bit about favourite beauty vloggers, and I plan to come back with a list of my wants and needs for my foundation and am going to take it directly to him! Not only that, but he addressed my skincare concerns as well. As I mentioned before, my makeup has a tendency to dry out my skin. I've never known what my skin type is, but I've always assumed it's been more of a normal/combination type. Anything overly oily or moisturizing makes me break out. It's hard to find a balance that isn't overdoing it. Though I was hesitant to try the products he suggested, he tested it out on my arm first. He used a total of 3 products. He started with the Divine Oil from Caudalie. Oil, crazy, right? However, he took the time to explain it to me, how the product actually works, AND then went a further step to explain how he used it in his own skin care/pre-makeup routine, which I really appreciated. It made me feel like he wasn't just trying to sell a product. He was genuinely trying to help. Next he used the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. So refreshing and absolutely amazing, and he topped it off with the moisturizing sorbet. After testing it out on my arm, he cleaned my face of the foundation swatches and actually gave me the same treatment he gave my arm. It's hours later and my skin still feels absolutely amazing. You know that pretty snapchat filter that everyone's crazy over right now? My skin FEELS how that filter LOOKS. Dane made me feel amazingly confident being in the store, both in the skin care that I received and the foundation I plan to come back and buy. It might take time to find the perfect product, but I feel incredibly confident that Dane can help me find my ride or die foundation! I would also like to mention that Dane knew I had no intention of buying anything. I came in with the sole intent to get my colour matched and a couple of foundation samples to take home with me to try. Despite all that, he still went the extra mile to give me amazing customer service, and he didn't abandon me once. I felt incredibly taken care of and valued as a guest...not a customer. I was so impressed and felt so valued, I called to speak with the manager as soon as I left because I wanted her to know all about the encounter. I 10/10 recommend the Boca store, and go see Dane! Horrendous. I understand this is an extremely busy store but I couldn't get help in the lipstick section even after I asked. I found one free associate and she directed me to ask another associate for help. She literally looked up from her clip board and pointed out who I should ask for help from. The person she pointed too was busy with another customer. After standing around for 5 mins-I helped myself to looking through the overstock drawers myself. After a few seconds- I notice the presence of yet another associate standing behind me with a walkie talkie trying to alert the staff that I'm going through the inventor drawer. She didn't even ask if I needed help!! You could have just asked. Anyway- I didn't see what I wanted in the overstock drawer so I walked away. I finally ran into someone who could help me and she was pretty attentive. I purchased $30 in lip product but half of what I wanted was out of stock. Just wasn't worth it to make a trip to this store. I'll stick to online purchases. read more

I am a makeup junkie and stopped in to buy some new products. As I already had couple products in mind, I also wanted to try a sample of the new makeup forever foundation. I am allergic to some foundations and wanted to try before I bought the bottle, which isnt that cheap. The sales ppl were so rude to me, and the one girl who asked me if I needed help, literally rolled her eyes at me when I asked and made me feel horrible for asking. She then walked away from me and didnt come back. I decided not to buy anything there at all and left the store. I wil Literally never step foot in there again. read more
