I've always liked shopping at Sephora. There's just such an array of products and they carry a lot of brands that you don't normally see in the department stores. The store is right inside of town center mall directly across from the Starbucks kiosk. I like shopping in the store. I always find that the employees are nice and friendly, they always try to help you find new cosmetics, whether it's a foundation, a mascara, an eyeshadow or even a new hair spray. Always, so many brands of makeup! And since their Sale started, the place was packed (my level doesn't start until next week)! And of course, my daughter needed a lot of make up for her prom! First, it was difficult to find someone to help me.Collin did try and help (he was going on his lunch break) but then Jenny did help and we got what we needed (Makeup Forever foundation, lipstick and gloss). This might be the second busiest store in Boca Mall after Apple store. Sephora is a great option for make up, skincare and fragrances. I'm not obsessed with make up, my normal routine is a good daily moisturizer and maybe some lipstick. However, being dolled up every now and then, is fine too. The point is if you are not into make up, Sephora sells great skincare line options. This location is busy and big. I have gotten my make up done from them about 5 times for parties/weddings. They do a good job with asking what type of make up style you want. I don't like over dramatic, I go for a natural look with some more emphasis on my eyes with eyeshadow/eye liner etc. To schedule a make up appointment, book online for the Boca location. It's a minimum of $50 purchase with the appointment. This is my go to Sephora location but I have bought things online. It's pretty simple online shopping with fairly quick delivery. Side Note: If you shop a fairly decent amount, open a account with them. You get perks throughout the year when you spend a certain amount. read more

Worst location I've ever been to! I've never encountered so many unprofessional, rude, and condescending workers all in one store. I felt like I was on a prank show. Had a lady who was pushing her products on me from her brand as I kept politely declining. I kept saying "no thank you, I have really sensitive skin and only come in for the brands I'm used to" The lady proceeded to be relentless and rude and told me she didn't believe me. I was in Sephora last week to seek out a new fragrance. I was tired with what I usually use and wanted to try something new I was directed towards the Fragrance Finder. An Associate alerted me about it, but did not really give me guidance on how to use it. Luckily, it was pretty easy to use. I picked out my fragrance and moved along. I checked out the Hair Care section and was really impressed with the large selection of hair care products. Who knew there were so many varieties and types of products? You could really look at that section for 3 hours and not be finished with it. The line to check out was super long and move very slowly. I do like their rewards program. Beauty rewards gives you the opportunity to earn points based on your purchase and redeem them for free Deluxe samples. All in all the store is just fine. I love the broad selection of fragrances this store carries and I feel like a kid in a candy store when I shop here; a very crowded candy store. I'm not a mall person, so I valet at the main entrance since this is the closest way to get to the store. Easy in, easy out, without having to walk around the mall. I never leave without samples of a new perfume and I always find what I am looking for too. The reason for the three stars is because the lines are ridiculously long & the girls tend to be on the snarky side. Most of the time anyway. I am a Sephora fan but lately I have been doing my shopping online to avoid the crowds and I have zero desire to deal with the ladies who work here. I bought 2 under eye concealers 2 weeks ago. Kept the one I liked and returning the one I didn't. Sales associate didn't want to accept the return because it was half used according to her. You can see all this on the receipt and how do you use all that in 2 weeks. I literally used 2 dots twice under my eyes to test the product ! There is such an off-putting feeling being followed around the store. Aside from trying to navigate the poorly organized setup, I was baffled by the salespeople wanting to pounce on every customer that walked in. I saw certain people getting approached multiple times. Why do they assume everyone needs very urgent assistance and for them to hand select their products pushing you to buy junk things? I told the lady I was doing fine and browsing- ended up being sprayed with different purfumes because the women don't understand social cues. I said I would be purchasing my eyeliner and possibly using the remainder of my gift card online...to have the lady say: "well, that doesn't help my store." The benefit of having two savvy, sexy, trendy, younger sisters - you teach them fashion then they turn the tables and set you straight. My baby sister was going gaga about some eye shadows at Sephora, so I decided to hope in there before re-shopping my MAC winter collection. It was a girlie heaven. I even said excuse me to sales associates and they didn't move! Craziness. They don't have the best hair selection. The hairspray I came in for wasn't here, so I opted for another. The lines are usually loooooong, but sometimes they'll accommodate you by asking who's paying with card and pull them aside to use a little card reader, so that's helpful. read more

As my mother was opening an item she was purchasing, a lady came and said "did you you know you are not supposed to open"; I told her, we were purchasing the item. Ok, so after picking up a bottle of YSL L'Homme in my last review, I went back to the store a few days later and picked up a bottle of Versace Dylan Blue and Dior Sauvage. I love L'Homme, it's my signature scent, but after wearing the Versace Dylan Blue and Dior Sauvage testers for a few days, I wanted to get a full bottle of both. Note: you can ask the staff for testers of any of their fragrances, which is a good idea, because they smell different on your skin vs the test strips in the store. One last thing, their pricing is higher than online, but only nominally. I don't mind paying a little extra, because I know that I'm not getting a fake, I can test them in the store, I can ask for trial testers to go and they have a good return policy. For the first time in many years I walked out of a Sephora store extremely unhappy with their customer service. I had bought several tarts eyeliner from them and two of them broke. The liner would slide out of the wooden casing making it unusable. Because I didn't save my receipt and even though I used a gift card they couldn't find the recent purchase record although they could see I bought the product many times before. Regardless a $20 eye pencil must be thrown away and Sephora did nothing to account for their poor quality product. Previously Sephora was known for stellar customer service. You could buy something and use it. If you weren't happy with it you could return the empty bottle for a refund. I imagine this was there way to get people to believe in the value of a product and keep coming back for items they loved. In summary someone who's shopped at Sephora for many years will now turn to other retailers that stand behind their products and do what's right for their customers. I thought others should learn of this experience as you may get trapped like I did with a expensive item that's not usable and a store that doesn't seem to care. read more

This is my favorite Sephora store in Florida. It's really big, all SA are very friendly and helpful. They are not too pushy or chasing after you (as in other locations). There is a man (I don't know his name) who is very knowledgeable in perfume section, he knows everything and always helps me out, gives advices and suggests nice options. I always look for him to help me in perfume section either I buy for women or men. In case they are out of any product, the manager will give you a code for free shipping so you can order it online. Located in the Boca Town Center Mall this store always seems to be crowded. They have a large assortment of cosmetics, perfumes, and other beauty items. The people who work there are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. If I want a beauty item that's hard to find I can usually get it at Sephora. That's nice. I registered with Sephora a few years ago. Every year near my birthday I get an email telling me to stop by their store, during my birthday month, to pick up my birthday gift. No purchase necessary. This year I got two Nars lip pencils. Last year I got lipstick, and the year before Philosophy 3 in one shampoo, shower gel, and bubble bath which smelled like a birthday cake. So this is trouble but they will rescue me! I'm not much of a make-up kinda girl anymore but there are so many choices when I need something, they will guide me to the right products. I will confess, I have a preferred skincare line which they don't carry but sometimes I want a new fragrance. That was the case on this visit. I was out of my favorite everyday "stink juice" so was going to take the easy route and buy a new bottle. To my surprise, I was told they no longer carry it in-store but I should be able to find it online. I wasn't thrilled with this answer so it was time to try something new. The salesperson listened as I described my preferences and led me to several choices. They were close but not quite the same on the card sample. I do like to wear something to see how it reacts to my system. They do offer samples of anything (ok, up to 3) if you would like to try but I don't live close-by so I decided to buy smaller sizes of two and take a sample of the more expensive. The salesperson I worked with knew her products and was able to give me some good choices to my liking. In this busy store, find someone you are comfortable with and let them help if you need it. Lastly, I was lucky in the line to pay. It was quite long but a cashier was moving from the front with a handheld to process credit card purchases. This is one of those "girlie heaven" stores. You find almost everything here - makeup, perfume, nail polish, skin care... A lot of products and brands to choose from. Oh, and I know I said "girlie" but there's products and colognes for men as well. Something for everyone, even cute things for younger girls. There's always people ready to help you, and answer your questions. The only problem I see is that when it's crowded the store can be a little uncomfortable but other than that, great! Both times a sales person came up to her and said "that is not tester" to which she replied "I know. I have this product at home." Then both times, the sales person said two more times "I said that was not a tester." I barely ever visit sephora but I was in search for a new face wash. The Sales Assosciate referred me to not only a variety of products for my face, but ones I didn't even know I needed. All this without being overwhelmed, it was all simplified to what I should be using. Not only did I find my face wash and a mask but I received a Perk Facial. This facial is an extraction of clogged pores and was done by Tara. I was soooo happy with this service; I can not believe I didn't know about it before! Tara walked me through each product she was using and used the machine to its optimal use, unclogging every pore and hydrating my face. I'll definitely find myself here again! read more

My experience at this store was absolutely horrendous. I would never, ever return here. I went into the Boca Raton Towne Center location in May to purchase blush and concealers. My sister and I asked a woman for help with picking blush. She showed us one, then we asked her about concealers so she walked us over to the NARS counter. She pointed out their creamy concealer and then simply walked away. She didn't ask us if we needed any help with shades. She simply walked away. My sister was looking for a sample of the NARS concealer & none were available. We looked around, each employee was busy. My sister knew the shade she needed, so she tried one from the box since she was going to buy it anyway. The woman who helped us earlier suddenly came & rudely told my sister she saw her from afar trying on the concealer & that my sister must purchase it. She was talking to her like a child, talking down to her. My sister is a married woman, a mother, a college graduate, an adult. I then informed the employee that she cannot force someone to purchase a product. She then threatened to call the manager & tried to intimidate us by standing in the aisle so that we couldn't go by. I informed her we weren't stealing anything & we were planning on purchasing it but because she was rude, we would be leaving. She legally could not make my sister buy anything against her will. There are no signs that directly say a customer cannot try a product on, or saying that one must buy a product of it is sampled from the box. My sister was going to buy it, but because of this employee's rudeness, we walked away. Plus - she walked away only to be staring at us from a distance? If she saw my sister try it from the box, she should've walked over since she saw we needed help. I wrote to Sephora and was told I would be getting a call from the manager but I never did. read more

I had parked near Macy's and actually walked out of my way to get to Sephora and for nothing. One gal attempted to help but I guess my 5-7 minutes was up or she lost interest in me or something and she seriously left me high and dry. It was mind boggling. I'm there ready to drop $200 or more in a store that has more sales associates per square foot than any other store in the mall and I got NO HELP. So I went back to Macy's and spent my money there. And though I had wanted to earn rewards at Sephora, I soon came to grips that the tiny, worthless samples you have to spend reward points on at Sephora are generously doled out for free at the department stores.
