I live over an hour away, but my family visits Atlanta very frequently ( a few times a well) because my husband its in music. Either way, I don't visit this Sephora often because it had never failed that I am treated kinda rudely by someone working there. With that being said, I really needed a concealer and didn't go to the one I'd originally been helped at. I walked in this weekend ( Saturday night) and it took a minute for me to get someone's attention. I was with my 7 yr old and felt maybe because I was with my child that may have been why? Anyway I did get someone and she was super sweet, I now know her name is Shaquanne. She helped me with the concealer and was nice enough to talk to me about proper blending with A sponge then showed me which one. I had thanked her and was looking at a different product when I decided to ask the woman behind the counter about checking the price. She scanned it and told me the price was $24, but the sign was saying " was $24, Now $12" . She told me she'd get someone to help me, but the man and woman she called out to were to busy laughing and talking. She told me she'd call someone else then went on to help another customer. I stood there looking lost and stupid. I decided to just leave my whole basket and left. I called the next day top talk to a manager and had the pleasure of talking to Agnes! I want to say that the five star rating is only for Agnes and Shaquanne! Agnes listened to my complaint and I could tell she really sincerely cared. She apologized and told me she would help me if I came back. I did go back and the woman I ask if Agnes was there turned out to be Agnes! Shaquanne was also there and she had her come talk to me too. Agnes fixed the lip gloss price and gave me a bag of samples. I won't say what else she did, but I left there in tears ( happy tears)! I wish more women, managers and sales associates were like these two beautiful women. I had to give them big hugs because I appreciated them so much and Agnes's kindness is beyond words. I LOVE SEPHORA! I am a total product junkie and this store has everything I need. I had to take off some stars because the customer service in this store sucks. I can never find someone to actually help me. They are really fragmented - people working in fragrances can't help you with cosmetics, people in cosmetics can't help you with skincare. I think in a speciality store like this that all employees should be familiar with the different products throughout the store to provide exceptional customer service. I understand department stores have their counters fragmented and departmentalized but Sephora is NOT a department store. One time I had to wait 20 minutes while the front door greeter went to find someone in cosmetics to answer my simple question. read more

I'm a big fan of this store. I like how they will teach you to put makeup on. I was not pressured to buy anything expensive either. I did have to buy a gift card at the beginning but then again they not only taught me how to put makeup on they also did a kick butt job making me all pretty like:) When I went out that night I got lot's of compliments. Juliana, the make up expert who I worked with was extremely helpful. I came when the store was closing but busy and she was patient, as I am picky and gave her honest opinion. She was knowledgeable and was able to mix different products to create the look that I was looking for. Also like that it's conveniently close to the mall entrance. read more

Sephora is convenient in that it has everything you need. I always have to resist the urge to buy too much here. At this location, I've had good experiences. The staff is friendly and never pressures you to buy extra. There's always a lot of people here because it's in a mall, but that also makes it easy to get to. read more

This store is alright, they've got a few things they " no longer carry." The staff is sufficient but not useful enough. The three times I needed help I had to request for help; never was a time they offered. There was only one gentleman who worked in the store - didn't do much either. Pretended to work but be in charge of his area, but NOPE - he didn't even bother looking around the store. However, the blue hair cashier was helpful. read more

This Sephora is in the Beautiful Lenox Square, Mall. Everywhere you turn there are staff eager to help you find what you need or to give you a makeover. They were informative on every line of products I asked about. In fact they were so helpful that I questioned one woman as to whether or not they get commission. She said they do not. The reason I gave it four stars is because it is a little small for a Sephora store and feels a little cramped when it's full of people. Nonetheless I will go again! read more

Ive always shopped at this location because its closest to me. Now, some of the people that work there are kind of full of themselves and don't seem interested in anything you have to say. Even if you're trying to tell them about your own skin and budget! But Shonda E. is without doubt the BEST make up artist there! She is always so sweet and just my favorite person to visit in the whole store. She always has the best attitude and she always knows the best look for me. She is my go to person! Since Ive shopped there for a while now, she really knows my type of skin(oily and somewhat acne prone, very red) and what works best with it. She introduced me to Cover FX a few years ago and I still use it everyday. I use Kat Von Ds foundation(which is AMAZING) and Cover FX for blemishes. read more

Grr. One of the ladies here (Mel) is very rude and obstinately so. Think she must hate her job. The rest of the ladies were fine. One of the other women who helped us was amazing. I was looking for a retractable eyebrow wiz and the people there recommended for me an anatasia one. I bought it. After coming home i realized it was a crayon pencil. I went back the next day and asked for exchange a retractable one. They gave me. Then i came home it was another crayon pencil. Im pissed. I live to far to go again. read more

I just had full makeover at the Lenox location on Saturday, January 10. Serena was my stylist and she was amazing. I received nothing but compliments through out the night. I came in with Instagram photos of what I wanted, and she did much more than I expected. She was knowledgeable on all products which helped me a lot in choosing products in the future. She is a killer at contouring, eye shadow, and she will make your brows look incredible. The only complaint I have is that my appointment was 30 minutes late, the store is busy I get it. I've been to my share of Sephoras, and have made plenty of purchases from them. This is possibly the worst Sephora you can go to with some of the worst customer service you can endure. I don't know who is training these ladies, but they should really learn some customer etiquette. My first visit here was to try out some skincare products and just browse around and read descriptions. I understand that the ladies are there to help, however coming up to a customer and telling them that they don't know what they're doing isn't really enticing to your customers in any way. I was immediately turned off to browsing around any longer. I've just given them another opportunity to show me that only one of the ladies is ignorant enough to tell their customers that they don't know what they're doing, however apparently their strategy is to criticize their customers in front of their faces in order to sell you something. I can guarantee you that no one who is criticized will want to purchase anything from you. I was testing out a lip liner to go underneath my OWN lipstick to see if the colors compliment eachother. I did not ask for help. I did not ask for anyone's opinions, yet one of the ladies who worked there who's name is VONDHUS took it upon herself to watch me apply my lipstick, and not only did she stand there for a while in my own personal space, but she also decided to say, "that's a whole lot of lip, and they look so incredibly dry." That is understanding if she was going to offer me a remedy for my dry lips (which are dry because Atlanta just endured 20-30 degree weather, and usually when someone has dry lips they can see that for themselves, so there's really no need to point out the obvious), however she just gave me a rude opinion for nothing. I don't know how anyone thinks that's good customer service, but I guarantee you that it's not. I don't care how well you apply makeup, that's not how you talk to your clients. This was my very first experience walking into Sephora for cosmetics. As I entered the Lenox location, I was immediately greeted by a lovely lady to my left who pointed me in the direction of the Bobbi Brown cosmetic section. As I walked past it, I was stopped by a handsome guy w dreads. I told him what I was looking for and he immediately requested assistance on my behalf. I was greeting by Alana, who had a great personality and very descriptive on what I needed to do for my correct color match for foundation. Once I was matched to my foundation, she completed my face and also provided helpful hints on application and length of wear. i will only shop at places i can receive rewards so i buy all my makeup right here ! i constantly get discount cards which lures me in to spend more money im a (vib member) -- sephora addict --- with everything from kat von d makeup (my favorite) & many other high end makeup brands to designer perfumes , blow out kits , flat irons , makeup brushes , etc. this is my one stop shop for beauty . they have classes available also for members makeup sessions that teach you how to do your contouring , kat eyes & etc. (membership is free) unlike mac .. great products but they are too snobby never giving rewards or discounts they are not showing any customer appreciation i limit my shopping there because of that. i will stick with my sephora ! read more

This is the one place on earth where I can easily find ANY "cosmoceutical" known to man...or woman. This place has everything from Daily Alpha Beta peels by MD Skin-Dr. Dennis Gross to Matte Finish SPF Moisturizers by Murad. If any of that sounded like Japanese to you, I suggest you brush up on your skin care regimen. This is The South and the summer sun is a beast! Sephora is the best place to learn how to prevent the signs of aging and pamper yourself as you should. Cosmetics aren't just for girls anymore, and the term "metro-sexual" is about as lame as "Hotlanta". I wandered into this place about 10 years ago, searching for something that would eliminate some unsightly razor bumps aka folliculitis, and one of the staff introduced me to Anthony Logistics for Men Glycolic Facial Cleanser. I haven't had a single razor bump since, I SWEAR by Anthony (they support the fight against prostate cancer too). The staff there are extremely knowledgable and very approachable. And the fragrance samples...don't get me started on the fragrance samples! There are some things in life you simply don't bargain shop for. My personal belief is that cosmetics is one of them. We've all seen pictures of how unforgiving the sun can be; Peeling, fading and cracking...all adjectives I would prefer using in a horror story to describe the paint on the walls, not the skin on my face. Unless anyone can tell me where I can find a guy to paint a portrait of me that I can lock away for a few thousand years while I remain forever young, I think Sephora is as good as it's going to get... read more

Do not have any make up services done here- the products and tools used on clients for make over services are not clean. The products used are testers from the displays and for my make up service, the sales associate did not sterilize them before using them on me. I wish I had said something- but it was very busy and I didn't want to antagonize the SA further. I should have spoken up. A few hours after having my make up done here, I had a severe conjunctivitis (pink eye) in both eyes. It took 3 weeks and 2 doctor visits + 2 rounds of antibiotics to fix. I had to throw away all of my eye make up to the tune of a few hundred dollars. After contacting customer service it took an additional 3 weeks for anyone on the management team to contact me, email after email and playing phone tag. Eventually I was contacted by the store team, who apologized and tried to make it up to me. I am a Rouge member, with unlimited free make up services but after this experience I don't want to let anyone in a Sephora do my make up again. As most others have said, the staff on the floor can be rude. This was a very disappointing experience. read more

Every time, and I mean EVERY. TIME. I have gone in here, I have been followed and harassed by the employees. Tonight was the last straw and I doubt I will be back to this location, which is a shame because the store itself is big and beautiful. But it's their loss as I am a makeup artist by trade and spend way too much money on makeup and skin care to begin with. I've lodged a formal complaint with corporate and can only hope they re-train their employees on being subtle when carrying out "perfect customer service" aka preventing shoplifters. I seriously can't go 2 minutes without a SA with a fake smile ask if I need help and/or shove a basket that I do not want into my hands. I think since this store is located inside of Lenox Mall the employees assume that if you don't look like a millionaire, you are trash and a thief. I've worked enough retail to know when I'm being scouted as a possible Loss Prevention problem. I see the stank faces out of the corner of my eye. I see you getting on the radio and telling the employees to "watch that one". And I definitely see you pretending to restock a shelf without actually doing anything. I was planning on purchasing a $60 foundation tonight, but after the eighth girl came up to me asking what I needed help with, I got disgusted enough to drop my goods and take my business to Bloomingdales. read more

I've been here many, many times. I really like the little Vietnamese gentleman who's always very nice when I needed perfume advice. However, the rest of the women who were working on the floor were horrible. I needed advice on foundation color, the lady who was supposed to help me find that color had a "don't give a crap about you" attitude the whole time. Eventually I just went ahead and found my own foundation without anyone's help. The check out girls all have a terrible attitude. They are stuck up and haughty, like they're so much better than you because they work at Sephora. No smiles. All attitudes and no help. I have never gotten a smile from a cash register lady there. Ever. The last time I went there I asked for some samples to go with my purchase, the girl checking me out ignored me 2 times (because she was too busy playing with another register girl's hair!) before I was like, "please give me some samples bc I just spent like 100 dollars there" Note, this is NOT the first time I've been to this Sephora. It's more like the 1000th time. And each time, the customer service has been mediocre and laughable. The girls they hire are rude, condescending, careless, and just straight up unprofessional. A note to the manager or regional manager of Sephora at Lenox- train your staff better, or better yet, just hire better people. Tell them to take their crappy unhelpful condescending attitudes somewhere else. And maybe my friends and I would actually want to go back. read more

When I think of Sephora, I think of the Louis Vuitton of make-up stores. This is the second time I have been highly disappointed in lack of service. It is very obvious that employees profile their customers. I spent a good 10 minutes in the store, browsing around and in that time period, not 1 of the many employees in the store acknowledged me. WHAT A TRIP! I have been a loyal client at the Sephora Lenox Mall location for about a year. Usually, someone always greets me and assists me with finding the products I need to find. However, today I had a difficult experience. I walked into the store around 5:30 p.m., and was not greeted by anyone. I looked around for the product I was trying to find for a while, and couldn't find it. I finally walked up to two sales representatives who were having a conversation and asked about an Estee Lauder brand. The sales representative kindly showed me the Estee Lauder collection that they carried. I then asked about finding a full coverage foundation, and was directed to "a top matching foundation" sales representative. She asked what skin type I had, and I told her I had oily skin. She applied a Becca primer to my skin which very noticeably got rid of the oil. However when she was squeezing the bottle to get the primer out, she carelessly squeezed a lot of product all over her hand. Next, she got a bottle of foundation from NARS and had difficulty getting the foundation out of the pump. She accidentally and carelessly squirted foundation ALL OVER my new Vince Camuto pants that I had just purchased from Macy's. She then apologized and I said how are you going to fix this. I had a date that I was attending that night, and the pants were expensive (ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT I WAS A COLLEGE STUDENT BUYING DESIGNER PANTS). At first she said we could try to get it out with make-up remover, but then didn't want to assume the responsibility if it didn't come out. After talking to her manager, they offered to pay for my pants to get dry cleaned. I was then upset, panicking and in tears because I had specifically bought the pants for my date. I said I didn't want them to pay for dry cleaning, because what if it didn't come out. I said I just wanted my pants for the night. The manager KINDLY WENT OUT OF HER WAY to walk me to Macy's, and then offered to buy me new pants. Unfortunately, the store was out of my size. Then, the manager gave me store credit, for the amount the pants costed before tax. She also included a complementary free mini make over for my date. THIS LOCATION IS A GREAT LOCATION! I just think store representatives need to be more aware of customers, as well as more cautious with beauty products. I've noticed the representatives always have the best attitude though. So I've seen a lot of complaints about the customer service here and yet I'm a little confused by that. I was there on Saturday and it was crazy busy - the mall was crowded and Sephora was jam packed. I had a list of items that I needed and was quickly attended to by Peggy - she was professional, listened to what I was asking for and went out of her way to get me the products I needed and then when I wanted some things that were out of her scope she passed me off to another rep Marie who was also professional and knowledgeable. The two of them in tandem pretty much took excellent care of me and then I asked Peggy about two other products and she referred me to yet another nice man (I wish I had gotten his name!) in the NARS section and he also got me just what I needed. Each one of them took the time to listen to me, get me the products I wanted and then while I was waiting in line Peggy came over to me with a bunch of samples including my fiance's favorite cologne because he patiently waited for me while I went on full shopping assault. It was very sweet of her to acknowledge him. Kudos to the staff here because it was a great experience!!! read more
