Some staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and nice and giving with their time while others could not be less interested in the customer service aspect of their job. that being said, this is my go-to location in Atlanta. That does mean it's a great location, but its the best in the metro area. Also just trust me and avoid it one weekends, holidays and anytime theres a sale happening. Lenox is one of the busiest malls in the country and this Sephora is a constant reminder of that. read more

Lets talk about my experience. I went in looking for a new foundation that matches my skin. One of Sephora's beauty experts, by the name of Helen, noticed I was trying to find myself a foundation. Helen introduced herself, then pointed towards the foundation, pass to me. I tried the color on my skin, absolutely love it. Helen's expertise was so appreciated. It took Helen, less than three minutes to assist with finding me the perfect foundation color. Helen was familiar with my skin undertones which helped to navigate me. Hello Yelpers! I've been trying to get a full face appt at Sephora or Mac for my baby shower tomorrow and needless to say for 2 weeks I've had no luck. Luckily for me I was smarter and decided to go into a location to create my own look. I got blessed with Cat greeting me. She was able to understand my needs and found me a make up artist right away. In fact, I was given Mike who apparently has raving reviews !! He got me everything I needed for a perfect natural beat. Even when they were outta stock for a lip pencil he was able to search other locations in the area to see if they had stock at their stores. Was extremely happy to spend my money and got exactly what I needed. Be aware the parking is tight so you have to just find a spot. If your doubtful of something they give you a little sample for you to try on, so you decide if you wanna buy it or not. Their return policy is also very simple and easy. Poor customer service management. I walked in and asked for an eyebrow wax if possible since I didn't have an appointment this time. I was told to wait while they check with the technicians. Twenty minutes later I was asked if I had an answer. I told the person no; she said she would check with the technician again and let me know. I waited another 15 minutes with no response so I left. I've had this service in LA for years with such excellent results and professionalism. This is the second time that I've been treated poorly at this location. I'm so disappointed. read more

This Sephora was larger than the one we have in Baton Rouge. They had triple the amount of makeup artists . I can't remember the mans name that did my makeup at first he said he wasn't sure he could do what I wanted with the allotted time but I explained that they always do it where I live. He had never done the winged eyeshadow before which honestly kind of scared me . But he had another artist help explain it to him . This Sephora is a great size, but many of the products were out of stock. I was in here with my sister for 30 minutes and not a single person greeted us or asked to help us. She was looking for a specific lip liner and I was looking for a setting spray with spf. I was hopeful that we would be asked "did you find everything you needed?" At the register, but instead we had a disinterested cashier hold a side conversation with another associate while we checked out. She didn't care to make sure that my VIB Rouge account was linked to the sale, so I'll make sure to give my business to a store that cares. This may be the Sephora to rule them all. Not only are the people working here friendly but they're super knowledgeable about all range of products from hair dryers to mascaras to eye serums. As soon as you walk in they hand you a basket and then ask if they can help you find anything. Then as I was wondering the store I had another associate come up to me to ask if I needed help with anything...which was very nice. A little while later I was looking at some foundation someone else came up offer to match the shade to my skin tone which I said in all my years of shopping at Sephora I've never had anyone come up to offer me the service. This morning I attended the Beauty before Brunch @ Sephora's closed door event for their VIB Rouge members. I caved and have to award a 5 stars again for this store. Honestly, the store deserves it after I have been rather hard on them in recent times. All I expect from any sales staff anywhere in this world is: no attitude and be helpful & nice at all times. The check in counter at the front door was efficient. Staffs were friendly and helpful. I was in the store about a week plus ago to check out a Guerlain item. I was pleasantly surprised a staff greeted me by my name. I asked the staff (Tiffany) how she remembered my name, she said she made it a point to remember all their VIB Rouge members' names. I am sure she tried hard. So here's a shout out to Tiffany!! Thanks Tiffany and good to see you this morning. Back to the event, the store provided Starbucks coffee, pastries and fruits in one corner for the members. That was one very lovely touch! Way to go Sephora! I love the Sephora at the Lenox mall! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and I always have aid finding what I need. I enjoy all of the on-hand options they offer (they have a lot more products and product lines than other Sephora's I've been to) and the beauty insider perks available here. I especially had a wonderful experience with an employee named Marie, who I believe is a skin expert. She is the epitome of great customer service! Her personable nature is so heartwarming and kind. I wish every Sephora had an employee like her! I visited the store a few weeks ago with a friend and she graciously provided detailed information about a product we were both interested in. Also, she told us about skin care services we could partake in in the future. Super helpful! Reserved the $60 Full Face service- what a rip off! I showed up promptly for my appointment only to be ignored for over ten minutes, then finally an employee sauntered over and spent the next ten minutes looking for product and complaining to other employees about her job. I had been looking forward to this service and was extremely disappointed to be treated unprofessionally, as if I was a nuisance every time I dared ask a question about what was being applied to my face. The employee informed me I could come back for the 75 minute makeup class if I wanted to learn how to apply the makeup. She ignored my request for sheer coverage and no lip color and seemed perturbed when I asked for a list of the products she used. Not only a waste of time and money but an overall negative experience that I had been looking forward to. She's so knowledgeable and sweet, always ready to go the extra mile to find me a product or make me a sample of something to help me keep my skin looking fantastic. The vendors I've met here are also quite nice, not catty at all like ones I have met in other states I've visited. I had a beauty session on a Thursday at 6pm that lasted 2 hours whereby at the end, the store was closing and I was rushed out before I could purchase any products. I was told to return on the next scheduled shift of the tech, a Saturday. When I arrive the tech was working with another client. I was reassured that she would be finished soon so I browsed the store for what ended up being about 45 minutes waiting for her to become available. I started getting impatient and went over to the area where she was working, only to see another client in the chair when I was told initially that she had a 50 minute block in between her clients. They apologized for the inconvenience, but the whole situation was unprofessional and disappointing especially after spending over $200 on Thursday. it's not about the money, It's about the principle. If you could add point for this location being inside Lenox and always packed as opposed to taking away points this could easily be a 4-star shopping expereience. My choice of cuticle sticks are also sold here...and yes, they are the Sephora Cuticle sticks @ $12....but they are so worth. It makes my hands and cuticle feel so good, that I even take my stick with me when I go and get a mani-pedi, cause it works much better than whatever they are squiriting out of a bottle at the nail salon. Disclaimer: I haven't read any of the other reviews, so my apologies in advance if I repeat something that has already been said. First off, I'd like to say that 1.) I'm new to the world of makeup and 2.)I'm a college student. 3.) I have dark skin, so the Struggle is REAL when it comes to finding the right match. That being said, I came to Sephora in hopes of finding powder/foundation that looked as natural as possible. When I got there I judged the "make up artist" due to her questionable makeup. I went along with it anyway since I was already there and figured I'd wash it off if I hated it. She tried Cover FX and did me up. Throughout the whole process, I kept reminding her that I was a college student on a budget. Somehow, I ended up paying $70+ for three items. It looked great in the store (studio lighting), but once I stepped outside I realized that I had a ghoulish tone (not cute). Needless to say, I returned the powder and the ridiculously priced lipstick today. I was still hopeful, so I asked if they carried Make Up Forever since a friend with similar skin tone recommended it. The cashier sent me to a rep up front who looked at me like I was an idiot for not knowing anything about skincare regimes and make up. She kept telling me my face was dry and it took all that was in me not to tell her that her face was caked up and shiny, so I'll take dry any day. The first color she chose was wrong, so I asked her if she had anything darker. I guess she felt offended, because she went on to explain that she had been doin' this for years and blah blah blaaah. When she came back with the right color it was perfect and that shut her right up. The last girl applied everything for me, but she just handed me the sponge and kept calling me "sista". Just because I'm black and natural, doesn't mean I'm your "sista" ma'am. The best thing she did was recommend me to the skin care professional (who also had on questionable make up, but was helpful/personable). She kept my budget in mind, didn't pressure me to buy anything,gave me samples of all the lines and encouraged me to do some research on them. I noticed that you get better customer service if you look like you have money (which is expected since it's bougie @$$ Lenox). She stopped a couple times to help someone else mid consultation. This location was super busy. Unsure if it was because of the holiday shopping or what. The mall itself was pretty crowded too even near closing time on a Sunday evening. My friend and I were immediately greeted as we entered. As we browsed around, there were many associates that offered their assistance. My friend found this one associate to be a tad annoying as she was blocking the Urban Decay products while my friend was reaching behind this associate. Granted she was consulting with a customer, but pay attention as she was clearing facing us and could have been more aware. She also had this unfriendly look on her face at times. The sales associate that checked me out was super friendly and nice, however, it would have been stellar service if her attention was on me 100% of the time. Her manager was probably questioning her about a prior transaction, but being in a customer service environment awhile back, I have my opinions. The customer always comes first, and you should provide them all your attention. She was pretty good at multitasking, but still, I would like your attention to be on me please. Overall a very good location indeed with plentiful products and good customer service. No clearance items were to be found at this location though. :( read more

Great selection of products! I was glad to see some brands with a full display that are usually on end-caps at my local Sephora. As far as the customer service it was terrible. It seemed as if each sales person was hiding in different corners of the store. I saw one person out of several helping a customer. There were several people walking around looking for assistance in shade matching and other things, like myself. Once I finally found someone to assist me in finding an item that says it was in stock at that location, I was told that they personally hadn't seen the item so they weren't sure they sold it there. Pat McGrath has a beautiful layout and the product is fairly new. I'm sure a bit more effort would have yielded good results. If you are looking for an item and see that it is in stock online I would call first or go to another location. read more

Stopped by because a lady I met had some Fenty foundation on and said it doesn't smear. I'm new as hell to the makeup world and went in to ask was it true bcus I've messed up plenty of shirts in my trial and error lol. A nice young lady helped me and she assisted me in picking a shade and also signed me up for the rewards. My shade was actually sold out so they're shipping it to me free. Ok it is 3:00 PM Dec 26, 2017--one of the busiest days of the year. I live 3 blocks from Lenox Square in Atlanta and walked there today, happy I did---traffic was unbearable at that time. Watched a video on You-Tube from Sephora about under-eye concealers and how to apply. Walked into the store and it was mobbed. Told the greeter I had specific products and wanted to try them out. She talked to 3 people before finding my helper, a young girl with make-up really caked on. She seemed to be impatient with me, rude, and could care less. She found the product applied it not like the expert in the video, but there was no way she was going to have a nice conversation with me. Ended up buying--Over $75 spent---but never felt so awful in a store before!! WTH?? My first and last experience with this store! read more

So, I did it again. I signed up for a contouring class at the wrong location. STORY OF MY LIFE... Anywho, but this time my experience was much more pleasant. The young lady behind the cashier register informed me of my mistake but suggested that I take the eyelash class that was currently being offered. Her suggestion saved me from making a wasted trip. The class instructor was Justin, who was absolutely amazing! He was very patient with me. I loved how he encouraged me even though I know that I was awful at applying lashes. The class was very small. So Justin was able to be more involved with giving techniques. I appreciated those tips the next day more than ever because I applied my own lashes for the first time ever! Let's just say that I blinked my eyes at everyone that walked past me lol. You could not tell me ANYTHING :)! Honestly, every time I visit this location the associates over look me or they just stare while laughing and talking in their walkie talkies. It is a very uncomfortable feeling. The same thing happened this time too, but I have accepted that this type of behavior is the cultural norm for this store. Maybe due to the location being in the "prestigious" Lenox Mall, the sales associates expect only a "certain caliber" of people to visit this location. Oh well, I can't win "em" all. This is a mixed review first of all Natasha is AMAZiNG sweet and kind she did an awesome job with my makeup and I've received endless compliments but boy how awful did I feel when my best friend who had hers done with a gentleman named Louise showed me her result. There's no way he should be doing makeup until he gets proper training. She had hot pink eyes when I showed him photos myself of a brown neutral hint of baby pink eye. He wouldn't quit talking about all the complaints he received and just looked stressed. His vibe made us both feel uncomfortable and I just feel so terrible my friend didn't get to experience the same happiness I did when we left. The next few months I'm concentrating on reviews that are less than average, and Sephora at Lenox is the first one that comes to mind. Early on in the days of nursing school, when even purchasing a few basic items (i.e. eyeliner) were a splurge for me, I'd gone a little overboard. I decided to return one of my items, a gel eye liner, it was around $10 (yes, I was seriously that broke). I'd actually bought it in TN, so I'm glad they let me return it here. After standing in line, I stated the reason for returning was that I just didn't want to buy a brush (lame excuse), and no there wasn't anything wrong with the makeup itself. The young woman dramatically rolled her eyes in exasperation and said "So why don't you just buy a brush" all while ringing up my return. I didn't even know what to say. I was a little stunned. I felt confused and offended and embarassed. I was also switching out for a cheaper product. Luckily my bf took me to get pho after this, so that cheered me up. Not all sephora's are like this, and not all of their customer service reps are like this. I've met some extremely nice ladies that work for Sephora. But this encounter has kept me from returning to this particular location for about 2 years. Yes, she could be having a bad day, there could've been a million reasons for this. But I guess it just took that one experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. Also it is very crowded and busy here. Rude, rude, rude. I don't dress up to go to the mall, but I don't show up wearing pajamas and curlers either, yet somehow, I had to double check my reflection in the mirror because the staff here was so condescending, judgmental, and just plain rude. I had a gift certificate for a bottle of perfume that had come from a sample set (it's a great gift idea - eight small samples of perfume and then the recipient can pick out a full-size bottle of their favorite after they've tried them all with the voucher included in the set). Voucher in hand, I asked an associate if they had the certain size and variety I liked, only to be snootily told that they had discontinued that line. That's fine and it happens, but instead of offering to help me find the other brands my certificate covered (and remember, the voucher was in my hand), he stared me away. I love Sephora. I shop regularly online and I have "VIB" status from all the money I spend on the makeup, skincare, and other products. I've been to Sephoras all over the country and this is one of the worst I've ever been to. Partly because of them regularly being out of stock of products...but no way is that the main reason. The MAIN reason has to do with the absolutely terrible, horrible, customer service that I have experienced on multiple occasions. For some reason the people working at this location (I suppose because it's at Lenox mall) think that they are the "crème de la crème" of make up artist and that they are doing YOU a favor to even answer one question that you may have. Avoid at all costs, especially on weekends. There is simply no running in and out of the Sephora @ Lenox on the weekends. Staff is unpleasant (anyone would be with this crowd of makeup obsessed tweens), obscenely long line at register just to pay, and hard to get an actual person to answer any questions. I am not a mall person, so I had no idea what to imagine when people warned me of Lenox (especially this Sephora on weekends): Their fear was palpable. I could see the little balls of forehead-sweat forming as they just began to think about it. Yet, I figured I had nothing to fear as I was just "running in and out" for some moisturizer! 1.5 hours later, as Vivian (aka Julia) so eloquently put it: "Big mistake. Big. Huge!" I waited to valet the car for 20 mins, walked in to Sephora, took me 10 minutes to brace the crowds to the back of the store, they were out of my product, 15 minutes to find someone to help me get it, another 5 minutes to get to register, 20 minutes waiting to check out, then waiting about 30 minutes for my car. I've been introduced to many great products by good Sephora employees though out those years. However, yesterday (June 29th) I had a shockingly bad shopping experience there. The store was practically empty (which surprised me on a Saturday afternoon). Plenty of employees working. NOT ONE of them approached me to offer their assistance. None of them would even make eye contact with me. I finally went to the register to ask for the product I wanted. it was grudgingly pointed out to me by the cashier who never moved from her leaning-against-the-counter position. I went over to the product where another employee was assisting a customer. That employee didn't acknowledge me at all other than to move out of my way. Out of curiosity I walked around the store to see if any of the employes would acknowledge me. Not one did. I went over to a counter to look at more products. Still no offer of assistance. keep in mind: NO ONE WAS BUSY! No customers in store! I made my way to the cash register. The supervisor (I'm assuming) told me to go to the register of the cashier who'd pointed out the product to me. That cashier said, "I TOLD you not to send me any customers. I don't feel like doing anything." Really! She said that! SOOOOOOOO Rude!!! I'm extremely disappointed as Sephora has always been a great shopping experience for me and one I enjoyed. My overall experience was dreadful. The associate that helped me was only interested in pushing the hair care products that I happened to be standing in front of. I decided to venture forth on my own to check out all the other lines of haircare products. Anytime an associate saw I was alone I was asked if I needed help which would be a good thing but after the 6th time in 5 or so minutes, it was arksome. Then finally the checkout line was not clear, the cashier who saw me line up incorrectly let me wait there for several minutes until I thought I was next in line and moved forward for her to then tell me where the actual line was. I noticed I was not the only customer she did this too! Another cashier checked me out without paying any attention to me at all. This cashier did not even bother to look at me or even listen to me! When she asked me if I had found everything I needed, I replied "no" to which she said "great" and continued to check me out. Oh and she said "awesome" 13 times during the checkout process. I counted. By the time I left, I was mad enough to want to speak to the manager but did not want to spend another minute in that store. Really awful experience overall. read more
