I've been here twice recently. Once to take advantage of their after-Christmas sales with my gift card and today to exchange a brush that was shedding like crazy. Both times the sales associated were rude and acted like I was interrupting them. When I went the day after Christmas, admittedly it was packed but the sales people acted like there was nothing to do. One person on the cash registered, two people standing behind her talking (one was the manager) and there was a group of three-four sales people huddled in the back ignoring everyone around them (probably just praying they're weren't going to get trampled in the crowd). When I went back it was the middle of a work day and not busy at all. I was the only one in line and I still had to wait a good five minutes for someone to acknowledge me before saying "excuse me" to get their attention and then the associated eye-rolled so hard I thought she'd pass out. I love Sephora products but I really dislike going to this location. I think I'll stick to Ulta from here on out. read more

I stopped into Sephora looking for Boscia BB cream. I entered the store and an associate saw me looking around and she asked if I was looking for something in particular. I told her what I was looking for and instead of showing me where the BB cream is located, she kinda pointed me in the general direction of the back of the store and "radioed" someone, presumably in the back of the store to meet me and show me where the BB cream is. Weird. What is this, zone defense? This lady wasn't helping anyone else, why couldn't she actually show me the product I wanted? I found the BB cream by myself and tried it on. Incidentally, the BB cream sat in my pores and didn't work at all. I then tried on a few other BB creams, without anyone offering assistance, and left. Sometimes, I come to Sephora and want to be left alone. I want to try on some make up without a lot of pressure, or I know what I want and where it is, so I want to run in, pick it up, and get out. So the lack of effective customer service has its perks if you are looking for a more "hands off" experience. read more

There are about 50 people working here at any given time and one (just one) will make eye contact with you and ask you if you need any help. Additionally, one (just one) will be at the register so expect to wait in line for a bit. The rest of the staff will be huddle together chatting, the ones that might actually help you are doing makeup and helping others. That being said, I get chills walking into Sephora because there are so many products under one roof. It's a beauty product lover's dream. My top picks from Sephora are DiorShow Mascara, Philoshy's Purity Made Simple & Urban Decay's Primer Potion. The range of lines they carry is too extensive to name, but you'll find a little bit of everything here. read more

Poor customer service at this location. I requested a complimentary smokey eye demo and the girl didn't seem interested at all. She proceeded to have conversations with coworkers and looked at some guy's picture on an ipad. She asked if I wanted mascara at the end and I just wanted to take it off. Whatever product she had me apply did not come off with the makeup remover she let me use. By the time I realized I needed a different makeup remover she was gone and I had to ask another person on the floor for assistance. I have been to other Sephora stores. The Buckhead Sephora is the only one that gives consistent awful, arrogant and distasteful service. The cashiers have been sub par. Wow!! I didn't know it was so hard to say next and push buttons or scan items. May be a tip jar might motivate the cashier. There is a clear lack of addressing people in the store who need assistance? It would not surprise me that reverse discrimination is alive and well at Sephora. Buckhead Sephora needs to reevaluate their customer service. There are plenty of makeup stores in Atlanta that surpass Buckhead Sephora. My advice, support a store worth keeping open. read more

My oasis. My happy place. I heart you Sephora. I came to this location on a Thursday during the day on my week off of work. Parking was difficult to find but after circling around for about 10-15 minutes, I was able to find a spot right next to the mall entrance closest to Sephora. Admittedly, this Sephora did not have my most favorite layout. But I did get a free 15 minute facial by a salesperson who was really attentive and knew her stuff. I noticed during my facial that there was some training going on in the skin section, so the sales people really take their jobs seriously and are prepared to answer any questions that come their way. I was definitely sold on some products and left with more things than I went there for. To the point where I may have to return a few things because I had no impulse control. So basically this location would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the parking situation and the store's layout. Otherwise, the staff was very attentive, professional and informative and Sephora is in general a master of their marketing craft. If you visit this location, enjoy all of the Sephora goodness and be prepared to spend lots of money! read more

These ladies think they're so above you and roll their eyes at you...: I ask d one lady for a product and she said loudly "how much are you willing to spend !?" Downstairs in Lenox Mall, I stop here often for the excellent selection of makeup and skin care products. There are lots of employees in the store, and I usually receive great customer service. If I want to try an item but am already wearing makeup, they're happy to give me a sample--on liquid items such as foundation, primer, etc. The employees are nice about it and give helpful suggestions. If you sign up for the free Sephora Insider card, you accrue a point for each dollar you spend, and can use the points to "buy" samples of different products (ranging from 100 to 500 points). They're small, but high quality and good for traveling. read more

Pros: great selection of beauty products and makeup that you can try out, really lenient return policy, free samples. Cons: expensive, staff is friendly but not that helpful I have bought a whole bunch of things from here including moisturizers and returned them used because they irritated my skin. So I give them props for standing by the products they sell. The staff are really nice but I don't really trust that they know what they're talking about. I mean they could probably tell you which makeup will look nice but in general their recommendations for beauty products aren't that accurate. That is why I ask for samples before I buy something expensive and they are happy to give them out (3 per customer.) read more

I have to say, I've always been underwhelmed by the customer service here. It's the kind of place where you can do about half a mile's worth of laps around the store without anyone offering to help you. Once an employee snapped at me for rummaging in one of the drawers, trying to find the shade of blush that I wanted. Not only was she rude, but she continued having a personal conversation with another employee about five feet away from me instead of offering to help. I was livid. Sephora itself is great, though. It has all of my favorite makeup products, including more unique brands like Korres. As an aside, they are a little bit lacking in their selection of Lorac products, which I thought was odd since the pro eyeshadow palette was the most popular and highly reviewed palette on their website since urban decay's naked. The store also has a good reward program, especially if you manage to make it to VIB status (spend $350+ in a calendar year). You can get a variety of deluxe makeup samples as well as advance notice of special sales and coupons. Still, having great products and rewards doesn't make up for horrible service. Stick to ordering off their website; you get free shipping if you spend $50+ and there's no attitude included. read more

There comes a time when having service from airheads just won't do anymore. There are some great cosmetics counters in this mall so this Sephora is a waste. I asked for a hydration spray - a guy stared at me, then snail-crawled to an alcohol toner. I told him that alcohol dries out skin and doesn't he have a spray with glycerin or hyaluronic acid or some sort of humectant. He told me that there is no such thing. My answer: what about Clarins, La Prairie, even Evian (just water). He was clueless. If you want a real Sephora experience, go to Paris and NY. Forget this place. read more

Granted I've only been to this location a few times as my make up addiction is recent, I've never had a problem with the staff. Of course, I've also never really needed help. I know what brands I like. I'm pretty devoted to Kat Von D & Urban Decay. I generally know what I'm looking for before I go into any store, for that matter. I'm happy to just look around and see what jumps out at me. I like their brand name lipstick and have it in several colors. They always have decent sales and their rewards program is pretty good. I've always been approached by at least one employee when I entered or shortly after. I won't go out of my way to go here especially since Ulta just opened up a lot closer to my house, but it's definitely part of my Lenox rounds along with Anthro and Lush. read more

I admit I'm not the best girly-girl, but there's nothing like a trip to Sephora that will change that (at least temporarily). Rows and rows of makeup, perfume, skin products, shampoos, and beauty tools make this a girl's playroom. They carry pretty much every name brand, as well as their own (which is a good bargain compared to others). The staff are willing to help, as long as it's not a crazy/busy day at the mall. I was dragged into Sephora (ok - not kicking or screaming) when Anastasia Beaverhausen needed some more glam nail color ( I won't even go into that....) so I spent some time previewing the colognes and was aided by a couple of salesclerks who really knew their stuff and really cared about the customer. I was given 2 samples of colognes I liked - no high pressure sales, and walked away with a very good $8 lip balm by Black Jack...... The store is always clean and looks good, so good in fact that Victoria Secret Beauty tried to steal the concept until they were wisked into Federal Court with a might slap on the wrist.....but I digress......Men shouldn't be afraid of a little skin care and a LITTLE cologne.... don't need to go putting the whole bottle on! read more

This a great upscale all things beauty store. The layout is organized when you walk in by brand, products, and then type. They offer tutorials on makeup and there are testers for makeup and fragrances. You can receive help from one of the staff but it can get busy depending on time of day like after 5pm or lunch hours. Otherwise you can get assistance with the product you are looking for, try it, compare if you want, then get through line without very long wait. I've received help looking for products, trying them, and also finding the best match. At the register there are free samples if you sign up to become an insider. While in line they have a cool variety of items travel sized. Sign up by the way is free. There's also skin care section of the store which has wide range for your needs. I have been to Sephora all over the United States as well as in Europe, and this one by far has the best customer service. The employees genuinely look like they are enjoying themselves (even if they are faking it) and they are super helpful too. I had an SA approach me in skincare asking if I needed any help. I told her my skin woes, and she asked me what I'm currently using. After discussing all types of products, she introduced me to a skincare line perfect for my skin type. She even started making me samples without me having to ask. She was very friendly and didn't push me to buy anything. As someone who spends $$$ at Sephora each year, it was refreshing to be treated so well. I also worked in skin care so I consider myself extremely knowledgeable and this skin care specialist really knew her stuff!! I used the samples and now my skin is glowing and bump free for the first time in years! I went into this location to support my friend who had recently finished chemotherapy and was feeling a little down because of the effects, Sid was so empathetic to her situation and made great recommendations for her! He filled in her brows with Anastasia brow products and asses bronzer to give her a glow. She was elated at the results! He also assisted me in finding a new setting powder and when he did a demonstration to show it wouldn't transfer because it was waterproof I was sold! I also fell in love with the Bobbi Brown foundation he recommended and the Anastasia make up pencil to highlight my brows! Based on Sid's knowledge we all made purchase and were happy about the items we got! I really do appreciate him for going out of his way to accommodate my friend! Oh Sephora at Lenox. I absolutely adore Sephora, but I have mixed feelings about this location. Because it's the flagship, it stocks just about everything, more than any other Sephora in the city. And because it's the flagship, everybody and their mama and granny will be here, ALL at the same time. The energy is frenetic, and at times, too much to handle. That usually means service is hard to find and/or rushed. When you do find someone, pray to the lipstick gods they're helpful (or even knowledgable) and get your questions answered pronto. Their attention will likely be pulled away just as quickly. It's usually craziest on the weekends (the makeup section is like Walmart before an Atl blizzard), so if you need 1:1 service, go during the week or later in the evening. Ironically, the skincare section is usually serene with attentive service, even while all else is hellish. Despite the crowd, the checkout line moves quickly and efficiently. There are usually 4-6 cashiers checking out during peak times, so don't be put off when you see the line snaking the aisle; you won't wait long. None of this is meant to deter anyone from visiting, but to prepare you, so you're armed with extra patience. read more

I am, admittedly, a Sephoraholic. It's a paradise for my crazy makeup loving self and I could easily spend hours in any of their locations. Sadly, the location at Lenox is not all sunshine and rainbows. First of all, it is always PACKED. No fault of their own, but even at noon on a Tuesday they're busy. How can they fix this? Uhm, hire more salespeople! Not a hard equation to figure out. And what makes things worse is that the salespeople that they *do* have seem to be more interested in their own makeup than tracking down the perfect plum lip color for me. Lame-o. I have made laps around this location that creep up in to the double digits without being helped, whereas at other locations I am greeted almost immediately, nearly hounded. And not to stereotype or anything, but I could understand the cold service if I was some pre-teen who obviously isn't going to purchase anything and just wants to play with the makeup. But no, I spend serious cash here, and I expect a little lovin' in respect. If not I'll just make my way down to Bloomingdale's and spend my money there. Today, however, was a downright mess. I had a rather large return due to some emotional shopping a while back, and I'll note here how thankful I am of their lenient return policy. However, when I'm returning something, I don't need the attitude. I've never received so many dirty looks before, even from someone who appeared to be the manager! If you don't want to have to take stuff back, don't have a return policy. Then, to add insult to injury, they gave me cash back since i paid with a debit card. Kinda weird, and no big deal, until the cashier started counting out the money: all in small bills (at least 30 ones). And yes, a rather high amount of cash. So thanks, Sephora, for the great makeup. WORST SEPHORA EVER The selection is fine and the design is fine but omg the system is so stupid unlike any other Sephora I've been to So I took my boyfriend's little cousin here. She likes makeup and her eyebrows just kinda fell out. I wanted to help her find a good brow product that was the right color for her red hair. First all the associates are busy. They need to hire more people. We did go on a busy day but damn. Then somebody is free and asks us for help. I'm like yes please. We want to find the right product for this girl's eyebrows. They say okay go to the beauty studio they will take care of you. This guy puts my name on a list. and they say come back in 15. And I'm like uh okay that's weird but maybe it's because it's brows and that's a service listed? 15 minutes later someone helps us find a brow product for her and then I ask the lady if she can help her fill in the brows. I'm fine at filling my brows in but I'm not extremely comfortable doing other people's makeup. Then she says okay there's a 45 minute wait for that. And I was like uhhhhhhhhhhhhh wtf? Okay. I filled in her damn brows myself. I did a good job. I didn't need to ask actually cause I did them perfect. But that was stupid. Then they were sold out of it. Like I've never encountered a Sephora being sold out of something from a popular line like Anastasia Beverly Hills. Later I needed a concealer and asked someone to help me match to my skin. I'm comfortable with my own makeup but I always like making sure it's the right match with a second opinion. Then they say oh beauty studio sign up there. And I was like what?????????????/ EVERY OTHER SEPHORA HAS PEOPLE HELP YOU IN THE AISLES ON THE SPOT. EVERY SINGLE ONE. I'VE BEEN TO SEPHORAS IN LOS ANGELES, NEW YORK CITY AND BOSTON. NOT THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I matched myself perfectly. But I talked to an associate and asked about this and she said yeah it's fucking stupid basically. The manager will yell at them for HELPING CUSTOMERS. They can't just help someone on the spot, they have to sign up and wait and wait and wait. I'm pretty good at guiding people with makeup and handling myself but do not come here if you don't know what you're doing with makeup. I wish this was not in the Lenox mall because they are SO, SO busy. I like their friendly personalities in general but I do not like that they bounce you around from person to person because what you are looking for is not in their "section". I highly recommend they change this as it is not a pleasant experience for a customer to be bounced around. Sales 101 is to make the customer feel comfortable with one point of contact for a better overall experience, not be bounced around like you don't matter or because you are in the wrong "section". It was tough to give an accurate Star rating because I had vastly different experiences with two different reps. One, who helped me with products and the second who checked me out. Lisa assisted me with products and she was sensational. She was friendly, eager to help, funny, full of good advice and super helpful. Sephora is lucky to have this gal because she is awesome at her job and will undoubtedly make Sephora a lot of money. I will absolutely go to her for help/advice on my next trip there. My visit, however, ended on a sour note when Dallas did my checkout. I don't know if it was the end of her shift (it was around 8:30pm last night) or that she was having a bad day but she was fairly rude. I'm a beauty VIP (which basically means I shop there pretty frequently) so I gave her my card and she shared how many points I had acquired for samples. I took a peek at the samples offered and was unfamiliar with one of them so I inquired as to what it was. She said flatly, "it sets your makeup." I asked her to elaborate and she practically rolled her eyes and repeated the same thing, like I was bothering her with my trivial questions. I found her attitude condescending, cold and off-putting. As someone who just dropped $70 on 3 products I should be treated with respect and provided a decent answer. (honestly, even if I hadn't spent a dime, a customer should still receive answers to the questions they have.) The store was clean, appeared organized, and again, Lisa was a doll to work with. O Sephora, Sephora. If it was not for your products I would not frequent this place. You carry products that I love and obsess over, but it's some of the staff that I just do NOT get. For every 1 helpful person in this place there are 4 lame o's that work here. I do spend quite a bit of money in this place, but when I want to find a new product it takes me about 3 people before I find someone that wants to help me and makes me understand some of the makeup that I am looking for. I actually went with my girlfriend on new years eve to look at a new foundation. I never wear makeup...but I wanted to find something light and that would make my skin glow and even the tone out. The first girl rolled her eyes at me TWICE and laughed in our faces when my friend said that she was looking for a glow powder product. And the sales associate actually walked off and said she was crazy when she did not want the product she suggested. She was rude and kept looking at her self in the mirror applying stuff in another aisle when I walked back around. But...finally we found a lady that came over and suggested NARS products and actually took the time to deal with us and apply product to test. Therefore we ended up spending over $200.00 in that place by just walking in. I love you Sephora....but you need a new staff in the Lenox Mall store. If I could give no stars I would. Everything I enter this store I am instantly reminded while only shop at the one near my house. I work as a store manager in Lennox mall. I go to this Sephora on my breaks. Yesterday I went here to get shade matched for fenty beauty. I normally where lancome tient idole however my shade is never in stock. I walked in amd there were 3 cast members by fenty beauty. They did not greet me, they did not asked if I needed help, they just watched me from about 2 feet away. Not a glanced but literally supervised me. I began to attempt to shade match myself still no help however they got closer and began whisper amongst themselves as I swatched lipsticks. No one appoarched me expect for a representative with bocsia skin care who was friendly. I talked to her about the products that I used and how they are helping to clear up discoloration and hyperpigmentation. Still they just watched. I left fenty and when to Tom Ford to look for a replacement to my Douglas lipstick that I had broken and I was followed and watched again. Frustrated I went to lancome to see if the had my shade this time and to my surprise they did. I reach to pick it up and was asked my someone I didn't even know when behind me if I needed help. Honestly 85 % of the thing sold in that sephora can be found in the Macy that you can literally walk directly across tg e hall to and the other 15% can be purchased offline. No one has to shop in that Sephora it is a choice; a choice that keep the cast member to a roll on that stage. I and a V.I.B. there no one way I should be treated this way, there is no reason anyone should be treated this way. I don't want to feel like a criminal when I shop or like I am a problem or an issue. It is very important to treat all guest with respect. I will never shop at this Sephora again and won't encourage my customer to do so either. read more

Sephora at Lenox Mall, is one of my favorite make-up stores in the city. It's one of the few places in Atlanta that is always stocked with the latest beauty products from high-end and affordable brands. Despite it being packed on the weekends, this Sephora is worth the visit unlike the Sephora in Perimeter Mall and Sephora in Cumberland Mall. *Parking: The main downside of this Sephora is parking. Lenox Mall is one of the worst malls to find parking, so this is not only a Sephora problem. It's quite congested and full of impatient drivers on the weekends, so if possible try to make a trip on the weekdays or even Friday evenings. *Customer Service: Customer service is wonderful. Every employee I have talked to during my 20+ visits have been professional and extremely knowledgeable about make-up and the latest trends. They make sure that the displayed items and items for sale are in good condition and are well-stocked. The checkout lines work significantly quicker than the other Sephora's even on the weekends, and they often change-up the mini items in the checkout line area so that makes it makes the wait much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this location to any other make-up addicts in Atlanta! read more

The store is typically busy regardless of the day (to be expected at such a central-city location), but that doesn't stop the cast members from being helpful when able. My 2 main complaints that mar an otherwise pleasant shopping experience are: 1) they really should have more people at the register tills--even adding 1 or 2 to the existing number would speed up the line immensely, and 2) I've had 2-3 sour run-ins with one employee in particular, a southeast Asian man (Vietnamese, I believe) whose brusque, unfriendly attitude turns me off. read more

She was knowledgable about the products and very personable. She worked 1 on 1 with me until checkout. Only been to Sephora a hand full of times...But most recently visited the location at Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta...The staff was unbelievably helpful especially a younger gentleman that knew just about everything there is to know about men's fragrances.
