I went into the Ponce City Market location to get HELP with foundation matching and trying a new brand. I spoke with two sales associates, one of who took me to find the best product for my skin. She was awesome! I can't remember her name but she was helping me with the foundation selection. I did NOT go into this store for a free makeover or to browse and not buy. I WENT TO SPEND A GOOD AMOUNT OF MONEY. However, during the time the retail associate was applying foundation to match my skin, her supervisor felt that it was more important for her to complete the task of loss prevention and keep an eye on the product on the sales floor instead of continuing to sell me products. She was told to STOP helping me, AND I was told I could stay there and "play" with the product to find what I need. My makeup had been all wiped off. I have learned today to not enter this store again if I'm in the need of actual service. And when I decide to purchase, just order online. It's not worth the headache anymore to go into the actual store thinking customer service exist. I challenge management at this location to hire an associate whose only task is loss prevention, theft, and inventory so that the awesome employees like the one who was helping me could actually give a good customer service experience. Do you realize that you're fear of someone possibly taking a $15 lip gloss or nail polish doesn't add up to me spending $$$ ??? DON'T EVER LEAVE A WOMAN HANGING LIKE THAT AGAIN! read more

They have some funny rules when it is crowded and busy in the store. Like the makeup people are to stay on their side of the store and it hard for them to help people bc they have to stay on a certain side of the room. But when I am i. The store I look for Reid she is so nice and patient. She has been helping me and I am so happy that she is there. She is very knowledgeable and I have dark skin and she has no issues with making suggestions and telling me and trying on makeup with me. She makes this store awesome. read more

As soon as I walked in the store I was not greeted at all. The two employees in the front were too busy gossiping w. each other and you can clearly hear that it was not about product...I struggled to find the item I was searching for while employees constantly walked pass preoccupied w. boxes and other things seemed like they were more concerned w. Inventory than helping customers. When I finally approached an employee she asked me do I have a problem vs. did I need any help...i find that very rude...mean while the 2 employees in the front were still talking about birds and bees and not worried if customers needed assistance. read more

I made an appointment for a full service makeup application. Even though for some reason they didn't have my reservation, they made sure to accommodate me. My makeup was done by Domenicca, she was awesome. I had a ball to go to and she gave me glam yet sophistication. She worked with my needs and gave me awesome tips to use for my daily makeup. read more

Made a quick stop to Sephora to grab some more of my Laura Mercier powder and it was quick and painless. Nick was amazing! He grabbed me off the line and scanned my debit card so I could make a quick exit. We also got into a great conversation about skin care and routines. He walked me through different products and was so knowledgeable about everything. I love the staff at this Sephora and how eager everyone is to help. I went in to specifically get samples of a particular foundation and possibly be color matched before spending $70 on it. 1) I had to approach the customer service rep and ask for help myself after being in the store 15 minutes without any acknowledgement 2) one of the particular shades on display that I wanted a sample of was "empty" and the customer service rep just shrugged it off. Didn't offer to find another tester to provide a sample. I spend a lot of money in Sephora and I was planing to make another investment of $170 but I just wanted to sample the products before I do so. Even if at that moment I was only coming in to get a sample, the customer service provided will also determine whether I will return to make the purchase or not. I never say never but based on the experience I had I doubt I will return to this location. read more

Went to the Ponce City Market location today 13 July 2019 at @ 2100 with my wife and another couple and were thoroughly DISGUSTED by the customer service we recieved from an African American mid 20's to early 30's female with a natural short cut who obviously did not like her job. My wife has had an account with Sephora for over seven years and has NEVER had to submit her email adderess or account number to recieve SAMPLES? This woman was surly and very unprofessional. She also advised us that there was only 3 samples per COUPLE????? The Sepora in Town Center Kennesaw has been our normal store for years and we've NEVER experienced this level of unprofessionalism in our lives. My wife shops regularly at the Kennesaw store for a variety of womens' fragrances, makeup skin care and colognes for me and our son. Maybe our business is only welcome in Kennesaw! Extremely rude and lazy employees at this location. Literally spoke with five different people and ALL of them were awful. Each one, in their own special way, acted as though I was a complete inconvenience by simply asking them a question or even just buying something (!!!) and zero of them even attempted a smile or eye contact. They were more concerned about standing in a group and gossiping among themselves than (heaven forbid) helping a customer. Luckily I got the product I was looking for after asking several different people the same question because I knew they had it in stock. The first three just couldn't be bothered to actually look. As a fanatic VIB Rouge member, I spend quite a bit of time and dollars in Sephora. I live and work between 2 other Sephoras, but couldn't let that stop me from visiting this new outpost. - It's situated outside of Ponce City Market (PCM) with nearby short term parking (free spots!), so it's great for quick drop-ins (i.e., new lippie for date night). If you're going to PCM just for Sephora, I recommend entering the parking lot on the back side near Dancing Goats. You'll see Sephora on the left. If you entering off Ponce (with the market on your left), Sephora will be a bit hidden, but it's straight ahead, adjacent to the cycle studio and parking deck. - This location is smaller than the Lenox flagship; maybe around the size of Perimeter, I can't be certain. Because it's smaller (and new), you likely won't find all the brands you would at Lenox or the more established locations. For instance, one of my fave brands, REN, isn't stocked. That's to be expected. More SKUs will likely be added as they figure out demand. Be sure to ask the manager about missing brands so it's on their radar. - If you're used to the other stores, the layout is a bit different. Skincare is in the back on the left. And of course, cosmetics are throughout. If you need to get your skin tone matched, this store is super ideal with all the natural light pouring in. - The service was the best I've experienced at Sephora in a long while. I'm really hoping that's a mainstay. Every consultant I encountered was knowledgeable and friendly, including the manager. The ladies at checkout were super sweet. While this won't be my staple store (too far), I plan to visit when I can, simply for the cheery service. Kudos guys! read more

Best Sephora I've been to in Atlanta! The people who work here are so nice and helpful, and the store is really well stocked. They have a great sensitivity to makeup and what looks good and natural. Andrew helped me pick out foundation and he was able to gauge my skin tone very quickly and very well. I never felt like they were trying to sell me any new arrival or big promotion item, just what I needed and wanted. I will always come back to this Sephora from now on! read more

Right when you walk in, you are greeted and offered a shopping bag. There are always people to help you. One thing I love about Sephora is that you don't have to search for an employee for help, they are always asking you if you are in need of assistance. My last experience at this location, I asked about a foundation matching my skin tone. Once she sat me in that chair, I ended up buying 225 dollars and some change on make up from them. Everything she put on me: eyeliner, foundation, concealer, highlighter, etc. looked too fabulous on me to pass up. They are very skilled at persuasion. I actually like this store, however I'm giving it a two star rating because they never answer the phone. Multiple times I have called and no one answers. Today I wanted to check to see if they had particular items available before I sat in traffic only to discover those items were sold out or unavailable. You should have a sign on the door, a message on the voicemail (I called) or even holiday hours on Yelp to advice customers you will be closed. Was in the newer sephora in ponce city market in Atlanta over the weekend and spent almost $200 on Peter Thomas Roth skincare. I eat vegan and always make sure the skincare and makeup I use is at least cruelty free. I've asked several employees there different time and if they don't know, they ask! The rep that was in store at the time assured me that she had JUST researched it and it was INDEED cruelty free! I trusted her word( that was my huge mistake- should have just looked it up in front of her and told her to stop spreading lies to people!) but she went into this long story about her baby daughter and how she only Used organic and cruelty free stuff On her own daughters face and she trusted this brand. CLEARLY I know I have to look out For myself and I should have researched it before buying, but it would be nice for People to not lie just To make money. And it doesn't only reflect On Peterthomasroth HK Official but on Sephora as well. FURTHERMORE, WHYYYYY is this company still testing on animals?!? Please believe the previous reviews! I didn't and I regret it. I went to swap out a makeup color since I was already matched incorrectly at a previous location. Walked in and was handed off by the manager to a makeup girl. She matched me with a very small patch with a foundation that has to be applied in an amount larger than a dime. I told her she was doing it wrong and I would need to see someone else. The manager told me that no one in the store worked with dark skinned and that I could take a sample and go home and try it. I had her repeat this and she stated again that the store had "no one in here like that". This could only mean one thing, they do not service people with darker skin. This issue has been reported to corporate and one can only hope that this issue is handled correctly. Judging by the previous posts this manager has issues with certain people.
