The Pad Thai was loaded with chicken and vegetables, with peanuts and lime on the side so you could finish it exactly how you like. The sizzling beef came out looking and smelling amazing, with big pieces of beef, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. And it was the star of the show The noodle soup was another standout. It came packed with meat, fresh herbs, jalapeños, sprouts, and all the extras on the side, including chili oil and sauces, so you could really customize the flavor and heat. And of course we had to finish with dessert. The dessert was beautifully presented with ice cream, cake, whipped cream, coconut, and an orchid on top. Definitely a nice way to end the meal. The atmosphere feels a little more upscale than your typical Thai/Vietnamese restaurant, but still comfortable and inviting. Everything was presented beautifully, portions were generous, and there was plenty of variety at the table. Overall, Café Chinois is definitely a place I'd come back to, especially when I'm in the mood for Asian food but want something a little different from the usual. Good food, beautiful presentation, and a fun fusion concept.

When I walked in, there was only one customer there and she was handling everything by herself. She was hostess and server. She handles it all with grace, confidence, and a smile. Kudos to Michaela and you're lucky to have her on your team!

First one in and I walked from the hotel Lela only 1/2 mile away. At the recommendation of my super sweet server I tried the fire cracker shrimp which was a regular specialty on he table placard. I also noticed the cod miso which intrigued me so I order it. What brought in though was the Hamichi Kama which I ordered also. On top of this they brought out a black seaweed/gyoza sample. The. On top of that since it is my birthday week they brought me the green tea mocha. Wow to say I am stuff was an understatement. So since this was a progressive ordering situation which I created the food came out sort of mish mash. I started with black seaweed / gyoza sampler. It was awesome. I would have ordered more had I not already ordered . Then I moved on to the bang bang shrimp. 8 breaded shrimp with their version of bang bang sauce. Plump shrimp with a chili sauce. Not bad. The sauce was just a chili style sauce and so left some to be desired. Then the cod miso came out. Wow. Super hot and had actual chunks of cod and veggies in it. Very good. Then the Hamichi Kama which came out. Amazing. I had this before in Japan and in West Virginia. Amazing. Definitely a recommend. Then they brought out the green tea mochi with green tea ice cream. It was the best I have ever had. Amazing meal definitely needed the walk back to try and walk some of it off. The restaurant is small and reservations are highly recommended. Definitely worth the trouble and I plan to return in the future to try some other items.

The fresh mint was the perfect compliment to the pomegranate. The tuna poke bowl was very fresh and filling. They acknowledged my gluten allergy and were able to bring me gluten free soy sauce. The atmosphere is cozy. Low lighting with tables close together but you still feel like you have privacy. It was a really fun place to visit and the food and service were great. Last night's dinner was terrible. From service to food to everything, terrible. I made a reservation for 5 adults and even detailed that I will have 2 car seats with me for my babies. The waiter up front wanted to seat us on a 4 person table by bringing a chair on the other end to seat 5, very silly. 5 adults and 2 car seats in a 4 ft table? Makes zero sense. Service was really shocking and absolutely dissapointing. We were constantly begging for our waitresses attention. From ordering food, to cleaning up our table after the appetizers, to the simple task for a water refill... just ridiculous. And now, for the food... everything was either too salty or too bland. The udon was especially disgusting, the broth seemed like its been reduced for the past couple of months as to how salty it was. The ramen, they used an instant ramen noodles... for $24? Like what? It looked and tasted like a $2 packet of ramen. The only good thing between those 2 orders is the pork belly. I wish I could get my time and money back. Definitely do not recommend and would not come back.

As always, I sat at the bar and was absolutely blessed with Alysha as my server. She is very good at what she does. Sushi and rolls were really good. Had the Counselor Roll, hamachi, and striped bass. I am a hamachi fan so the roll was perfect for me and very tasty. My first try to bass. OMG! So good! It was confusing at first, because this lady was standing still, facing the front of the window where you order. I thought she was in the middle of ordering food so I waited behind her. It took a few minutes to realize this lady was actually working with the food truck and taking the food orders. She also was not very friendly when I asked her a question about the food. Anyway, back to the positive notes, the food! The menu was limited to tacos, fries and drinks (soda, sparkling water). I tried the fries and fried catfish tacos (2 tacos), which came with a crema sauce, coleslaw, lightly seasoned tortilla chips. There was a bottle of salsa, assuming homemade. The salsa was delicious. The catfish tasted so fresh, was tender, and was lightly fried. The thinly cut fries were great, reminded me of McDonald's fries. The whole meal was satisfying, but I wished appetizers were available. This is one of the best food trucks in town! (food, not customer service)
