Def worth the trip if you're looking for ethnic food. They validate parking for up to 2 hours. Just need to drive in from the Larimer side. So happy they've been a staple for me for the last 2 decades. Thank you PMC!

Today, the stars aligned as they were open and I was hungry. I first went into the grocery store to purchase the makings for sambhur, one of my favorite Indian dishes. The owner's daughter and her friend were a tremendous help as we looked up one of the ingredients. It is called Lady finger and looks like okra. We started talking about all the additions and remodeling going on in the store. In the near future, they will have everything for you to make a great Indian meal or stop in for a snack. And they also offer beauty supplies and Hindu statues. We then moved outside to the food truck. I already knew I was going to get pani puri, an Indian street food. They were 4 for a $1.00! As the pani puri were being made, we talked about all their offerings including their favorites, a cross between India and China chow Mein and the momos (dumplings). These young ladies want to open a small café with their aunt cooking wonderful Nepali, Indian, and Chinese influenced food. They talked of creative offerings like Bison momos and I offered that I would love to see paratha, a stuffed Indian bread with creative stuffing. This is not McDonald's and everything is created fresh so allow a little time. I was told the chow Mein takes 15 minutes, so order and then go inside to shop. And my pani puri.....it was wonderful. Light puffs filled with a stuffing of lentils and tamarind chutney served with a spiced water sauce. And at this stop, it is OK to drink the rest of the spiced water. I am very fond of the ladies who own this shop and food truck; I love seeing them dream better and more offerings. They have a steady clientele of local Nepalese and Indian patrons; I hope to see a steady clientele of Yelpers as well.

I needed 3 basic Indian seasonings but i was only able to find 2. The store didn't seem to be organized well as spices were not all in the same area... The shelves were not maintained well & in general, the store was a dusty, dirty and a confusing mess. After leaving the store & doing more research, I learned that the item I was looking for 'Carom seeds' is also called 'Ajeain' which I remember seeing on a shelf. When I asked the woman if they carried Carom seeds, she clearly didn't know that they actually had it. I'll also mention that parking is very limited. Basically only 2 street parking spots in front of the store & no info for additions parking.

They really pack a punch into a small space, and carry a huge variety of noodles, seasonings, produce, snacks, and canned goods. Amazing customer service, they accept credit card, and have boxes ready so you don't have to use or purchase a bag! The prices here are amazing, and far better than you'll find on the same goods at king Soopers!! If you're unfamiliar with Asian goods, I really recommend chatting with the owner. She was not joking. It was not too sweet and slightly tart. The lychee lemonade aide was really good too. I got the affogato with espresso/matcha and Vietnamese coffee. It was my bad to get so many things all in one as it was a bit too much but I think it would've been perfect with espresso and Vietnamese coffee. The matcha is also frothy and both drinks are top with a bit strabwrrry pieces at the top and the matcha powder on top of the drink! So refreshing! 5/5 Half Dozen Creme Brulees Cream Bun We are OBESSESED with their cream buns, we havent tried the other flavors but the creme brulee flavor is always our go to. At Colfax/Lansing (right between two memorable Mexican masterpieces - Real de Minas and Guadalajara…read moreBuffet) sits a similarly mighty maven of merchandise, from Myanmar in this case. Why don't we do a bit of culinary trekking at Asian & American Super Market? So, you're craving a touch of Burmese food, but don't have time to head all the way over to Taw Win or Urban Burma? Well, that's absolutely no problem at all - you see, A&ASM can help you out in several ways. Look - here is a handy kit containing the fermented tea leaves and other beany/seedy/etc, items needed for the palate-refreshing salad you probably know better as Laphet Thoke. Oh, you wanted something more substantial? Let's head to the back of the store. See? Here are canned versions of Ametha Si Byan (beef curry) and Ohno Kaukswe (coconut noodles) direct from the homeland for you to sample. (No, silly - the latter doesn't actually *contain* the noodles - that would just make a mushy mess). Wait, where did you go? Ah! I had a feeling you'd head to the front register, where, depending on the day, you can find such delights as Pe Palata (flatbread stuffed with vatana beans), Kyet Thun Gyaw (onion fritters) and Shwe Yin Aye (coconut milk/pandan jelly/sago/bread dessert). Are you full yet? [URP] But there's so much more to see up and down these aisles of course (I'm sure that probably goes without saying, but, well, here we are). Ooh, don't those durian segments look delicious? Stop that, you know you love them. Well, OK, what about a few Da Nyin Thee (jengkol beans) to put some shimmer on your stir-fried dishes? Mmmmmmm, I'll bet those rambutan are super juicy. And just look at these tempting jars of smoky Karen-style fish/chili sauces (Lar Say Paw and Saw Lay Pe, to be more specific). Or, try a link or two of plump beef sausage. (This, like many, many other items in the shop is Halal, as you may have guessed by the fact that the owners are members of the Rohingya community, who have traditionally lived near the border with Bangladesh and practiced Islam for centuries). All kinds of fresh produce can also be found here - for example, I've seen bamboo shoots, taro, and winged beans on various visits. But I don't want to give away all of A&ASM's secrets, so go see for yourself.
