The five stars is for the size of the short stubby cup. The stubby sizes are about right for people over 30, but the bigger sizes are better for people under 30. The design of the stubby cup from Dr.Ink had higher centers of gravity than Sentea's. The Sentea cups are more stable than Dr.Ink's because of the wider footprint. The yellow Sentea sign was also like the Bat-signal, because at nighttime the sign can be seen from the SJSU music building 3 blocks away, to remind students to get drinks. read more

It's standard boba spot next to campus. The wait is sometimes random as I've ordered prior and people after me will get their drinks first. I asked for not spicy on my crab balls and it came out spicy - not a big deal but why have option if not going to follow. I did not ask to remake because I had already been waiting. Was surprised to see that the Gong Cha here was replaced with a new place and was curious over how it'd be, so I thought I'd give it a try. Ambiance-wise they're relatively similar, outside of some changes to get rid of the Gong Cha mentions. The menu is a little small in variety, with a special section for matcha drinks. I got a small Matcha Affogato, which was light in flavor and came in a small cup that was worth around six dollars. The Matcha unfortunately isn't very strong, but the drink was alright regardless. The service is relatively standard - you order on the kiosk and the barista makes the drink for you before placing it on the counter as they call out your order number. Pretty similar to the Gong Cha. Overall, an okay replacement. I suppose it's nice to have some variety here, but I don't see myself returning to this place anytime soon. Maybe one of their other drinks would be better, but I won't be sticking around to find out. read more

Looks like gong cha is gone. SenTea is standard boba place. Order at kiosk and pick up. No employees interaction at all. I ordered a coffee. It was good. Not watered down. The workers need to be consistent with calling peoples names because she just leaves it, with the labels facing inward, on the counter. Love the false advertising with the AI Definitely a step down from Gong Cha otherwise, with the more limited drink menu and the much smaller cup sizes for what you pay. Not that Gong Cha had ever been the best, but at least they didn't try to scam you out with fake photos. A better alternative would be Breaktime Tea around the corner. read more

I was coming here every single day for about a week and a half and one day for some odd reason it's been the same person too behind the bar multiple of those days when I've been getting a week and a half constantly same exact order, same sweetness it was a customized drink and this day she ended up making it definitely not the way that I was supposed to different not only that but when I took three large chugs taking a fourth one just to verify, I got absolutely no aloe chunks and almost a dollar extra I don't care about paying the extra dollar for it, but I expect the item to be in my so taking four and not receiving any of them was absolutely crazy not only that I go back to my room where I am taking these I take my straw and I start poking it to the sides to confirm that there is no aloe on the sides and there's absolutely no aloe vera in it whatsoever taking the straw cup. I don't see you pushing side so I go back downstairs and I side worker and I'm like there's no aloe in this. I know I previously but saying this now, I do remember before even leaving the facility. I asked her if this had aloe vera in it because when I picked up my I look right and I know theoretically I should have stayed in the facility to that is my fault but now I'm here and I am asking for my drink to get remade because it does not have the proper stuff in it and so I end up asking her can I please have more aloe in this and she proceeds to get a separate cup and put aloe chunks in it and hand me the cup I look at her. Came here with my boyfriend this afternoon. We were walking around looking for something to drink and found this place. I ordered my peach tea, and my boyfriend got a brown sugar boba. And omg, they were both really good. I'm a fan of sweet, so the level of sweetness here was perfect for me. My peach tea tasted fresh, and there was actually peach in it. It was just so good. And my friend's drink was also great. It wasn't too sweet, the boba was soft and chewy, and the milk was just creamy. We both loved the drinks. The service here was also quick and friendly. Humble little shop that replaced gong cha that was here a while back. The inside is nice to sit in, right across SJSU campus. Very relaxing after sunset. Workers are usually pretty nice here as well. While I haven't tried their food, their milk teas are ok. The sugar level is inconsistent across various drinks (sometimes it's too sweet at 75%, sometimes not sweet enough at 100%). They get 4 stars because their fruit smoothies are surprisingly good. I've had mango, strawberry peach, both were really really fruit-forward and refreshing. I would suggest you get 50% sweetness on the fruit smoothies because at 75% and 100%, it becomes too sweet alongside with the sugars in the fruits themselves. read more

Found this nice mom & pop and I ordered a thai milk tea and popcorn chicken. Popcorn chicken was crisp and the flavor was great! The thai milk tea is smooth and not too creamy, refreshing. I didn't have to wait too long ~ 10 mins for both items. Its a serene shop to sit at when it's not too busy and the workers were friendly, definitely will check it out again. read more
