Apparently this was the area for the servers to do side work and start closing first. I understand rolling silverware but you don't have to bang it right behind us while I'm trying to take a bite of my fajita taco. As soon as I did take a bite I realized the beans were ice cold and to my dismay my mothers food was cold as well. She asked them to heat it up after waiting for ten minutes to flag our waitress which we never found which was why we flagged a busboy. Not to mention our food was delivered without tortillas, prebussing or plates which we also had to flag a busboy for. The waitress did not come back until about fifteen minutes after we recieved our food and when she did she made sure to ask if we want any more food because the kitchen is closing. We only had our food for fifteen minutes and it felt like she was rushing us to get out. When we told her no she proceeded to come back at 837 and ask again. At this point I couldn't eat. They were stacking chairs to my left while people were sweeping to my right and in front of me I have a waitress that is making us feel like we are not only inconveniencing her but a bother. Mind you she was not rude but In these situations you need to be able to bounce back and gauge your audience. I am disappointed to say the least especially because I never saw a manager nor did they stop by once. It's important to touch all of your tables to ensure they are being served up to standards. We did end up staying until 945 because people were staring at us directly In front of our table. I understand labor and how cuts work but that's the name of the game. Sometimes I have let customers stay hour to an hour and a half after we close. It's not ideal but my needs are not more important than my customers. Lots of friendly and cute people come to eat here, lots of great locals swear by it, some of my good friends adore it. It is very Houston (Tex Mex chain where middle class people come to get drunk and pretend they're eating Mexican food). Some of the employees are nice, and the atmosphere is great. Now for the bad stuff. I ran over glass in their main driveway, and it messed up my tire. I told them, not to ask for compensation, but so they can clean it up. They were all "not our fault we were not liable we will clean it." 2 days later I checked it out (just now) and the same glass is still there in the main drive. Looks like it had been run over 300 more times. Took a photo. That glass gave me a slow leak in a very expensive tire. 2 days earlier. I obviously don't like the food because in most cases I think text mix is pretty disappointing and I'm obsessed with real Mexican food with real extreme spice levels. But if you're into Taco Bell over taco trucks, then you'll be into this over the places I would send you. And then there's the abuse. Having pick up outside is fine if the food is ready but half the time there is a wait time of 10 or 20 or 30 minutes when it gets really busy. In the 3 month a year that the weather is tolerable it's not a big deal for customers and delivery drivers to wait but during the 2 months where it gets really cold and the 7 months of extreme heat, it really sucks. And that's just for 10 or 20 minutes so imagine how the employees feel that have to sit out there and hand out orders for 8 hours. I've asked them and they say they are fine about it but I'm not fine on their behalf, And nobody would as much money as the owners of this place has should be making delivery drivers who are paid less than $2 per delivery stand around for 20 minutes in very cold or very hot weather. But I'm not going to keep complaining and then get accused of having a tiempo tantrum.

The avocado crema salsa and warm serrano pepper salsas are delicious with a mild kick. The bottled red salsa is fresh and green salsa packs a nice punch. Migas: Scrambled eggs with tortilla chips and cheese, choice of chicken versus chorizo on top, finished with fresh avocado. I really enjoyed this combination and the generous portion for the price. The eggs are well scrambled without being dry, and the pairing with cheese is proportional. The chicken was a touch dry, but some salsa solved that well. I enjoyed stuffing each component into a fresh tortilla and devouring it as a breakfast taco. Refried beans and rice: Really delicious. The refried beans are of the smoother variety without as much chunkiness, which I prefer, and topped with creamy cheese. Patatas with salsa roja, topped with egg: I enjoyed the flavors in this dish, but there was sooo much salsa. The potatoes were thus a little soggy, though still cooked well. Crispy potatoes: I enjoy that these are fingerling potatoes smashed and roasted, but they could be crispier. They seem to be on the blander side on purpose to allow seasoning to taste, and I really like pairing them with the red bottled salsa provided at each table (probably due to their association with ketchup). Hotcakes: The literal star of every brunch, these hotcakes are consistently delicious. They're massive yet somehow cooked perfectly through so that they're fluffy and soft on the inside and just with a slight crunch on the outside. The pairing of the creamy warm (!!!) maple syrup is heavenly. Because of how huge these are, usually one is enough to share between two people, although they also come in stacks of two and three. For reference, we finished 3/4 of three between four healthy and hungry people and it wasn't for lack of trying. Whenever I crave weekend brunch, Superica is always a top option.
