Over the course of several weeks, I worked closely with Lina while arranging the additional support my mother needed following her surgery, which had been significantly delayed due to the Kaiser strike. Throughout the process, Lina was professional, compassionate, kind, and extremely helpful. There were several frustrating moments related to scheduling issues, many of which I expressed to Kaiser. Lina was always honest and transparent, explaining that all of their Spanish-speaking caregivers were currently assigned to other clients. Even so, she consistently took the time to listen to my concerns, answer questions, and help explore possible solutions. Lina maintained regular communication to ensure my mother received the specific care she needed when she needed it. While there were some scheduling challenges along the way, Lina remained proactive, attentive, and supportive, helping us navigate each obstacle. She also worked closely with her scheduling team to make sure my mother's care needs were met. I am grateful for Lina's dedication and commitment throughout this process. Thank you, Lina, and thank you to Care Partners for the care and support provided to my mother during her recovery. Enrique M.

My experience with this agency has been extremely disappointing. They have a consistent pattern of…read morenot returning phone calls. Even when the receptionist says someone will return your call, it often never happens. Communication is one of the most important parts of providing care, and this agency has repeatedly failed in that area. Most recently on 08/2026 a caregiver she was scheduled to provide care for my elderly mom but did not show up, and the office did not bother to notify me that she would not be coming. I was left waiting without any communication or explanation. * I contacted the agency and left a message for Val to call me who I was told was a supervisor, asking to return my call to discuss what happened. Unfortunately I never received a response. What makes this even more concerning is that they serve elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and families who are already under tremendous stress and relying on these services for support. They present themselves as compassionate and caring, but that has not been my experience. If you are seeking respite services through this agency, be prepared for poor communication, more stress, more disappointment and difficulty getting the assistance you need.

In conducting significant research into home health care agencies in the Irvine/Tustin area, I soon noticed Agape had multiple positive reviews. From the get go, they have been professional, responsive, and have worked with our schedule in order to provide quality care for my father. I was in panic and felt like losing my mind. Fortunately through the social worker, I connected with Rina. Thankfully, that was one of the best moves I made in my life. I was grossly disappointed with Care Choices' Hospice service. To start with, their contract and…read moremarketing materials are materially misleading, and internally inconsistent, in terms of the care that they actually provided. Their representative rushed me through the sign-up process without any clear explanation of the services that they were going to provide. Specifically, their communication to the parties involved (Assisted Living, the attending physician, and me) was vague, ambiguous, inconsistent, and confusing at a time when job descriptions should be crystal clear. It is Care Choices' responsibility to coordinate care and especially to make sure that "their" patient is being properly attended to. Hospice services are not just to provide a hospital-style bed and a wheelchair. As a direct result of Care Choices' lack of clarity, the Hospice service was waiting for the attending physician to treat, the attending physician was waiting for Hospice to treat, and the family was waiting for the patient to receive necessary care on a prompt basis. As it was, the patient's care was overly delayed, which caused the patient medical distress and the family members completely unnecessary emotional distress.

In the beginning, we have tried numerous caregivers. We started with 24/7 then cut back to only 12 hours once my husband was feeling better. Then back again for 24/7 as my husband's condition got worst. Some caregivers were very awesome and caring but some are bad such as sleeping on their job, showing up late, or just doesn't do anything unless you tell them to. We were fortunately to encounter some great ones who took great care of my husband until his final days. There are few things you need to be aware of: 1) Make sure you keep track the dates and times that the caregiver is present for your loved ones. I had a few days when there was no caregiver and still get charged for it. Or, I get charged double for the same shift. 2) Don't depend fully on the caregiver. They are like us, they might call in sick or have car problems. Make sure you have a back up plan and be ready to take the shift yourself. We had a hard time especially around holidays, when no caregiver would take the shift or cancel on us at the last minute. 3) Make sure your care plan is very clear as there's a potential someone new caring for your loved one everyday. 4) They are non-medical caregiver, so make sure you plan out the pills in an organizer so they can dispense and just let your loved one take the med. Overall despite some hiccups, some of the caregivers took great care of my husband until his final days and we are very grateful to them. It's a tough job mentally and emotionally. I applaud their bravery for taking such hard job.

My Mom kept getting calls on a bill that was paid the same day she got a notification that a balance was due for the insurance copay. As soon as my Mom got the notification she paid it, but somehow because of "different systems" 1 of the billing system is showing balance due and the other system is showing payment processing. After several phone calls, Apria billing department told me that they have the payment and then "APOLOGIZED" for the error.
