His advice was invaluable. He was always there for me, whenever I had questions. He was super responsive, emailing back or calling right away. And through this process my mom kept changing her mind about where she wanted to live (mid-peninsula near her friends, south bay near me), and so our requirements kept changing. I had to make several scheduling changes due to my mother's changing care needs and the care coordinators were able to accommodate. There was one time that they could not find a caregiver and did provide phone. I would say that the majority of the caregivers that they sent out were competent and my mom really liked them. The rest did not interact with my mom and just sat in the chair, saying nothing. One caregiver watched TV the entire night she stayed with my mom. I let the agency know and I asked them not to send those caregivers again. I was glad that we had access to caregivers but I think I may try to use another caregiver company if the need arises.

On the first day, the caregiver arrived a half an hour late with no explanation and did not call to let us know. The second day no one showed up and no one called to let us know. When WE CALLED the second day to find out the status, at that point we were told no one would be coming and there was no substitute available. No apologies, nothing. We are dealing with a lot of emotions knowing we will lose a beloved member of our family and should not have to go through more issues - especially when they do not inform us. Now we will monitor our credit card to make sure we are not improperly billed for services not rendered and wonder if this company has drone this in the past. Not a good way to start off and wish zero stars were an option. As far as the first night with help. We were told certain assistance would be given but the person that came in said they wouldn't be doing a number of things. So basically, they didn't help that much at all and used the house to take a nap on the recliner. Horrible communication from front office with information of care provided vs reality of not much care at all. I would stay far away from this company.
