I work for a memory care community, and we have been trying to contact SeniorDoc for the past few weeks without receiving a response. I called today and was told that SeniorDoc is no longer operating and that they are transitioning to a new company called Western Geriatric and Neurology. We were never notified about this change, and we now have residents who need medical care and follow-up, but we are unable to get answers or reach anyone who can assist us. How can a transition like this happen without notifying the communities and residents who rely on these services? We need to know who is now responsible for our residents' care, how we can contact their providers, and how their ongoing medical needs will be addressed during this transition. This is very concerning, especially for a memory care community where residents may have urgent and ongoing medical needs. We need clear communication and a point of contact as soon as possible. read more

Amanda Hannon "trained" us; it was a PowerPoint presentation where she struggled to pronounce and understand the word "comorbidities". I have a bachelor's degree in psych, some years as a dental hygienist. I know the word, very much. I was shocked that I was the one to pronounce and explain meaning. I thought I was being trained. read more

We were originally very pleased with Senior Doc, but unfortunately our recent experience has been disappointing. There appears to be a high turnover rate among providers. Our family member's nurse practitioner left in January, and as of May she still has not been assigned a new provider. A few weeks ago, our family member reported symptoms of a bladder infection. Senior Doc prescribed an antibiotic without sending a provider to evaluate her in person. There was also no follow up afterward. Yesterday, she was admitted to the hospital, and it appears she may still have a bladder or kidney infection. We are very disappointed with the level of care and follow through we have recently experienced with Senior Doc. read more

My mom has been with a doctor in the Senior Doc Group a little over a month and the experience has been absolutely unacceptable. My mom needed a referral to see an orthopedist and pain management specialist due to severe, debilatating back pain. After 20 days of me calling several times a week I received a phone call that she had been approved to see a pain specialist. When they called I said do you know she actually went to the hospital in the middle of the night from her assisted living because they couldn't manage the pain with her Norco, she said we did see that on our patient portal so this is probably why someone bothered to move forward with her referral. The pain management specialist that they can refer her to is a minimum hour car ride away, which there is no way she can tolerate and there is no closer option in this group that they can refer her to. On top of that she didn't see a request for the orthopedic referral, which I had talked to the nurse practitioners assistant several times about to be sure things were moving forward. After many phone conversations with several people at Senior Docs, none of them called me back when I left messages fyi so it was good fortune when I got a hold of someone, I learned that they had several computer "systems" so the first week the assistant hadn't even seen the referrals to forward it to the correct person until I had called as the ordering nurse wasn't sure why it took so long to get approval. Then somehow only one of three referrals made it to the proper person that gets the approval from the insurance company. They tried to say that my mom's insurance company is slow at approving referrals when it is now clear the bottle neck is at Senior Doc, the need to receive the request to be able to approve. One person that I talked to explained there is only one person handling the referrals for about 300 patients, so that is clearly a problem besides the fact that there are major breakdowns in their office computer systems. I never realized how important a good Group is when choosing a primary care doctor because you are really at their mercy when trying to get care and a poorly run company is very detrimental. read more

Senior Doc provides medical care for many residents at my assisted living community and offers excellent care. They visit my building once a week checking on my residents to ensure they are healthy and feeling well. If your loved one is in an assisted living community, do not hesitate to have Senior Doc provide their care, you won't be disappointed! Highly recommended! read more

Senior Doc provides a very needed service for elderly people who have a difficult time leaving their home/facility for routine medical needs. Considering how these patients can come to depend upon Senior Doc, it would be wonderful if this service provided consistent and timely care but they don't. The provider has ghosted us a couple of times as we tried to get care or results from X-rays and blood tests or sort out prescriptions. It borders on absolute negligence at times, and other times it has been timely and appropriate, but we never know which it will be. We feel trapped into staying with the service as there is no other alternative. I am about to submit a complaint to the state medical board after having requested blood test and x ray results for the past two weeks to see if mother's pneumonia is resolved. No response from either the provider or the office. read more

I decided to use Senior Doc to obtain a 602 form, which is used to assess patients who need to go into a care facility. I decide to pay for Senior Doc because dealing with Kaiser can require a lot of bureaucratic juggling and with the high stress I am under to find care for my mom, I figured it was worth the cost to minimize the headache. The Dr promptly filled out the form, but it was an outdated version that care communities no longer accept. I found the new form online, and called and emailed the current one hoping I would get this done. I have made multiple phone calls and spoken with various people, and now it has been 2 1/2 weeks since the assessment. I have not received the correct form. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated that I had my mom take the time to do this assessment and paid for a service that was supposed to expedite things, yet here I still wait. Hoping this will be resolved soon... read more

I've had a great experience with senior doc since day one. Linda, the marketing and outreach expert is so kind and set the tone for what has been incredible care for my grandmother who also lives in my board and care. Dr. Shukla is her primary, and I've been so impressed with her and the team so far! At home Lab work, primary visits, and ease of access to the care team really makes them stand out. read more

I do not recommend them for the Sacramento area. Our experience has been the worst so far in the last two years of medical care for my mother. Very little accountability no callbacks no follow up . Either they're expanding or have such high turnover that they can't handle the load. It took 2 weeks and 10 calls to get urgent lab results. When you called their one 800 number a medical assistant actually said I could call the lab to find out why there's results weren't in. Really? Ps take a close look at the reviews below. Most of them are not from patients or family members read more

My uncle moved into a Senior living community in Glendora, Ca and Geiss Med called us for hospice services. I worked with Lucy to get everything going and she was beyond amazing. The follow up, the urgency, the constant communication, it all set my mind at ease. Then we met Carolyn, the Admit Nurse. I don't know where we would be without her. My uncle loved her and we loved her. She would respond to texts and calls all day, even when she was on her day off!! She spent the last hours with my uncle and I know he was well taken care of. Thank you, Geiss Med. You were wonderful!!! read more

I am only 58 years old, but due to a stroke that I had 14 years ago during my brain surgery to remove a brain tumor, and a broken hip that I had six years ago, I am bedridden in a board and care home (assisted living home). Dr. Palencia is my doctor, out of their Temecula office, is my doctor. He comes over to the house at least once a month. Without having him come over to the house that I currently live in to see me. Healthcare would be extremely difficult. Dr. Palencia is like part of my extended family read more

This care provider was recommended by the senior care home in San Clemente where my elderly mother went to live in May of 2021. Dr. Goodman seemed very good and attentive during his initial eval. Unfortunately he never came to visit my mother again despite various health issues which occurred. My mother was seen as needed by the nurses and monitors were placed in her room which supposedly the care team followed from the remote office. While the first assigned nurse, Christina, was very friendly and responsive at the beginning, the "area" was reassigned to Regina, another nurse. The care was inconsistent at best. Rotating staff. A few times we were desperate for care and we were made to wait for "shift changes" and nurses to return from vacation. Then in the Fall of 2022 the office stopped returning calls from the facility for urgent visit requests. The nurse did not return my calls nor to the facility. Wait times for visits went from 1 day to several weeks. Calls to the office were answered with "we will relay that message", and those messages were usually never responded to. The facility noticed a severe decline in the quality of their service as well. After quitting this provider, this provider disregarded our wishes to stop service and continued to call us several times for authorizations for visits. We did not consent and they were informed that they were no longer the care provider for my mother. Months later they continue to fraudulently bill Medicare for visits to my mother. I have warned them I will be reporting them to Medicare for fraud, but they hung up on me. Mr. Richer Jimenez, the billing supervisor, has my number and never called me back to discuss their fraudulent billing practices. I seriously do not recommend this provider to others. read more

Since my last review in July (which I still fully stand by), my stepdad is now also being treated by a SeniorDoc psychiatric nurse practitioner named Huyen (Wen) Mai, PMHNP - BC. She is OUTSTANDING. She is working hard to help provide the best quality of life for him, navigating the interplay of several age related and other conditions. She has gone above and beyond to ensure that his symptoms are well managed and is very communicative with me - both sharing with me what's happening and listening to me - enlisting me as a partner in his care. She carefully explained medication options and helped me weigh risks/benefits. She and his PCP, Vanessa Mendoza, work closely together, providing the best continuity of care we've ever experienced. I can't say enough good things about SeniorDoc. They come to my stepdad and visit him in his apartment, they can order and have labs performed also at his apartment and they work together so his care is seamless. As an added benefit, this provides critical insight into his actual living environment (not a self report)- plus he is infinitely more comfortable in his own space and is able to converse with providers more authentically. Not only is the care some of the best we've ever had, but it is fully covered by Medicare and our supplemental policy. I HIGHLY recommend SeniorDoc if their services are available for your loved one. If they're not... ask for it! read more

I work at a senior living community in Corona. The in-home services provided by Sr. Docs are a godsend to both our residents and their family members. It is such a treat to have the medical visit in home rather than having to transport a senior, who is sometimes not feeling well, to a doctor's office. The doctors and nurses that do the visits are wonderful and treat our residents with care and respect. read more

Tacky leadership and HR management. Returning calls is not their thing. You will be ignored and lied to if they call you. If you are a professional you will recognize the games played especially by the girl in claims she is an HR leader. Be honest, don't play games, don't pretend. When a candidate applies its totally acceptable to be polite and real. Many times staff are intimidated if you know more than they do. When asked if thery were accredited HR didn't know. HR is at the top of the joke list. The Administrator will just ignore you. Be professional or hire others who are. read more
