I interviewed three realtors before my family sold our house in Ames. Misty was the first of the…read morethree, and by the end of the third interview she was far and away the obvious choice. She was so forthcoming with information, by the end of the process, I felt as though she had taught me to be a realtor myself. My family was moving out of the Area, so we didn't use her to purchase our new home. However, once we had our new home purchased, Misty was quick to get our old home sold. Misty talked to us about staging the house, when to show the house, and how long it should be on the market. It was a little uncomfortable staging the house we were still living in, but Misty more than delivered everything she pitched during the interview process. I would definitely recommend Misty Metschke if you are in need of a realtor.

From the very first phone call, I knew we picked the right team. David spent so much time talking with us, explaining the whole process of auction, how land value is determined and so much more. He truly put our minds at ease. Both he and Ann were always in contact with us during all phases of the process. If we had questions they were always willing and available to answer. The auction itself was handled wonderfully, reaching a very good sell price. Everything thereafter flowed seamlessly, escrow, closing etc. I highly recommend the Whitaker Marketing Group!

I do not recommend using Jake N Jose if you are looking for reliability. The first time we used…read morethem, they were fine (and that must have been an anomaly). The second time we used them, we set up the appointment and shortly before they were supposed to meet us, they contacted us to say they needed to reschedule--which was fine, things come up and we understood. However, the THIRD time we tried to use them, they totally ghosted us. My husband had arranged for us to meet them at an apartment we own in Ames to move some furniture for us. Due to our previous issue with them rescheduling at the last minute, he started trying to get ahold of them before we left Omaha for Ames (texting and calling)--no response. When we finally arrived in Ames, after multiple unanswered queries, the appointed time came and went and Jake nor Jose ever showed up. We ended up contacting All My Sons Moving and asked them to help us out. All My Sons Moving was GREAT--Zaylan and Rick, showed up, did what we needed them to do--they totally saved us. Had we not been able to get someone else to do the job Jake and Jose had said they would do, we would have spent 6-hours on the road back and forth from Omaha to Ames and accomplished nothing. So, two out of three times we attempted to use Jake and Jose, they did not show up. My takeaway; Jake and Jose cannot be depended on to show up when they say they are going to and good luck getting anyone to answer the phone at their "office" when they don't show up. Move on...pun intended...and find a more reliable moving company in the Ames area.

Vanguard owner Gabriel Moore was prompt to meet with us and quickly provided a bid. As we got closer to the project the weather didn't cooperate. Rain, rain and more rain. Gabe did a great job communicating schedule changes. Once the work got underway it went quickly. And the quality of their craftsmanship was outstanding. The siding is fantastic. The attention to detail superb. Seams were overlapped so not to be visible from the street. Joints were staggered so not to catch the eye. The metal trim was perfect and we love our new carport. My wife and are extremely pleased with the end result and we will certainly want Vanguard Exteriors for our next project.
