He is Neel the owner (as you might've guessed) of this establishment on Imperial Hwy, which is thankfully not too far from us. He diagnoses quickly, gets the job done efficiently, charges reasonably compared to other mechanics we've gone to in the area, and above all is a man of integrity--he's allowed us to pay for certain repairs days later to make sure our car is running properly first. He is transparent about his shop's limitations (they don't do German cars but refer us to highly rated shops nearby). He is clearly very experienced and knows how to weigh the best repair options, especially for older vehicles. I plan on relying on Neel for years to come. Cheers!

They were busy but insured me it would only be about two hours for an oil change, break inspection, and tire rotation. Got a call about an hour later from Neel himself saying my Rav 4 was ready to go and didn't hassle me about doing any additional work, which I feel you get every time at a mechanic shop. It was a great feeling to just get the service and feed back you requested. Thanks Neel and Hector for the honestly, professional input, and transparency. Look forward to working with your company in the future. Only downside is parking. Be patient and you'll find one.

I went to the pos Puente Hills Mitsubishi at first for help and was told it would be $300 to disassemble the entire braking system to even have it diagnosed when all it needed was a 5min reset by specialty computer tool. Came here to Tokyo Automotive Repair to see if they could help, and Kevin upfront was so nice. The tech, Kai I believe, took care of it right away! No more error beeping. Never going to the dealership again.

I'm always on time with oil changes 5k miles no matter what year... I relied on the old reviews of this place with Tatsu but I agree, I met Kevin and he isn't that welcoming, not sure if he's going thru something in his life and taking it out on customer but I also agree, he's short, can come off as rude and idk, doesn't seem to enjoy talking to customers about cars. I asked for oil change only and got quoted over 200$? He tried to say the better oil was recommended but like dude I can go to valvoline right now for 100$ no questions asked.. I think they try to charge more because they use high tech diagnostic equipment which is great for major issues but for simple things I was displeased to get upsold when my almost new car is in great condition..... I was hoping to build a lasting relationship with this place but I'm going back to my trusted dealer who is a bit farther but worth the drive, Fitzgeralds Auto in Costa Mesa or OC Masters Tech in Orange for my MAZDA!

I made an appointment with him the night prior at 10pm and he promptly came out the next day at 8:30AM to fix the issue. He retapped the threads I had stripped out and fixed it for me. He also made sure to drop my oil pan and clean out the metal shavings so they wouldn't get into the engine and put a new gasket on when he reinstalled it. He also completed my oil change. That alone shows the type of person you are and how you treat your customers. I have screenshots of our entire conversation that I'll be attaching so everyone can see the lies you're telling. I have never gotten hostile with you I've been patient and sure I was bothered by you changing the story line every hour I have not once yelled or been unprofessional with you like I said I have all our chat history for everyone to see for themselves and see how you are just making up things to make yourself look better. To start, I told you from the beginning that I did NOT want to replace the axle. The boot just torn, and it didn't need replacing-- even Toyota recommended simply rebooting it since my truck only has 15k miles. So I'm not sure why you're lying and changing the story now. The boot and axle were both inspected by Toyota before hand they said I should just replace the boot as soon as i got a chance. As It can fully tore and grease could leak out so I've had it sitting since then to play it safe so you saying the axle was already worn is just a straight up lie. You even said being it's a new truck you shouldn't have to replace the whole axle when you showed up. As for the lug nut, I never gave you permission to damage it like you're claiming. I came outside and you were already hammering on it, struggling to take the key off. You told me it wouldn't be an issue and that once you reinstalled it, it would come right off with a couple of hammer hits -- which did NOT happen. Good thing I stopped you, because who knows what else you would've damaged. You also installed a $160 aftermarket CV axle that you purchased from O'Reilly. I'll be attaching the screenshot of that as well so everyone can see. And no, you did NOT arrive at my place "near midnight." You arrived at 9:25 PM -- I have proof of that too. The reason you were there until almost midnight was because you destroyed the threading and then sat there for almost an hour and a half trying to figure out how to fix it. I tightened the clamps because you were trying to install the axle exactly how you brought it, with the clamps loose. I told you they weren't going to hold, and you said you couldn't get them any tighter and that it was "fine." So yes, I took it upon myself to fix them because you were trying to take shortcuts to get the job done. For reference, my OEM axle costs $450 after tax from the dealership -- not including install and $70 I also spent on the rebooting kit that was also "thrown away". The one you installed only costs $160. So yes, I have already filed a police report and I am starting a court claim. See you in court. And thanks for showing everyone how you treat your customers.

I was hoping it just needed a Freon recharge. After checking the A/C system, Frank confirmed that the Freon was just low and everything else looked good. Luckily, her older car uses the newer, less expensive Freon. I just hung out while he recharged the system, and it was ready to go about 20 minutes later. The cost was only $150, money well spent to get ice cold air conditioning back. The most recent visit was to troubleshoot a service error code and ABS and brake warning lights. I was hoping this would just be a sensor on one of the wheels, but Frank said it looked like the main ABS ECU unit was faulty. Given the potential cost of the repair, it didn't make sense given the value of the car. I appreciated his honest opinion. He said there was no charge, but I still tipped him for his time because he always takes great care of me. I have tried a few other shops in the area over the years, and had initial good experiences. However, they all eventually gave me an estimate I knew as wrong, or didn't do work they said they did. I've been going to Frank ever since, and trust him 100%.
