The owner Ray looked at my car for transmission fluid and only put water in it and said to leave it like that for the rest of the time with the car . He also unplugged the battery which resulted in the car stalling permanently. He refused to do anything in order to fix it and still refuses . When I asked about trade ins I was told he doesn't do them ,until I mentioned BBB(better business bureau) he then said we could trade it . Very sketch . Now I have his mistake just sitting in my yard . I posted this same review to Google and he's having it removed because " he never saw me and there's no records " well Ray I have proof I saw you and I got my car from you . I have the copy of the cashed check and as well a confirmed Venmo from Ray . Not to mention the Venmo was for him to fix a part for " free" like he said to start off . Ray is the owner and he is a terrible person. We purchased a car from his shop for my 18 year old son. Ray said he will charge the AC if it gives us issues. He said the car was in good condition. A month later the car dies out. We replaced the battery, still wouldn't work. We had it towed from Ala Moana to Wahiawa (his shop) which was very expensive. The tow truck company said it was the alternator. Ray "suppose of" replaced it. We paid $500.00 for it, we also asked him to recharge the AC since it went out, he had the nerve to tell us that its missing a part that needs to be ordered and it will cost us $90.00. I told him you said we can have it charged anytime? He's a liar!!! Now, this Thursday (two months since we changed the alternator/battery) my son was driving home from town, the car turns off and he just made it to the shoulder lane before the car completely died out. FSP towed him off the freeway, FSP said its his battery, I told him we just changed it a couple months ago. When we opened the hood, it wasn't the same battery. RAY SWITCHED OUT OUR BRAND NEW BATTERY FOR AN OLD ONE!!!!!!!! SO we had to buy another battery, FSP advised us to have O'Reilly test the alternator since he stole our battery. SURE ENOUGH, the alternator FAILED the test. RAY SCAMMED US!!!!!! Now we have to replace the alternator again!!! DON'T EVER purchase a car from SELECT AUTO GROUP!!!!!! read more

Ray comes off as a genuine person, but it's definitely just about the money. He's not going to get your safety, because all the cars on his lot are flawed and can't pass safeties due to things like fuel leaks, or an exhaust burning up the wire harness just to name a few. He will offer to get the safety, and not being from around here you don't know the importance getting a safety but believe me make him take it before you buy. He will offer to fix things, but plays unaware when you tell him what the issue. I even question the fact that I know about cars than he does and I'm not an auto person. Brake covers aren't Brembos and that's definitely not FloMaster exhaust. He never looked at the spark plugs, let alone gave it a tune up. I'll eat whatever cost I'll accrue and that's life and everything happens as it should. But this guy can immorally accept your money, and sleep easy doing so. Knowing your engine has two different brand spark plugs, a bumper melting away by the exhaust, and a nightmare of wiring problems. Karma comes full circle, either today or the near future. Don't buy is my advice or be cautious in buying from Select and be ready to rebuild. read more
