So I was ready to sell my 5 year old Mazda3 s Grand Touring and I went to Kelley Blue Book to get an estimated value. It appraised out at just over $13,000 so I was hoping to get somewhere in that neighborhood. Star Auto was listed as one of the Kelley Blue Book dealers in my area and I was quickly contacted by a text message. I called back and told that there was no mechanic available on the weekends so to come in first thing Monday morning. I arrived at 9:05 a.m. and was greeted by a salesperson of sorts who took my information including my driver's license, car registration and insurance back to a manager and was told to wait outside. Approximately 10 minutes later he came back with an offer of $8,000. I told him it's not even close to the Kelley Blue Book value of $13,000 and he replied well that's what my manager said. No mechanic came out to look at the car nor any sales person sat in the car to look at anything except the mileage. I felt I was treated very poorly and I'm not recommending this place at all. I went to two other places that were listed as Kelley Blue Book dealers and both offered $12,000 cash. I took the first one. He was a 5 star sales guy, easy to talk to, even if he wasn't sure to some of our questions, he did not try play the I'm going to sell a car to us. He even had the car washed before we left. The only -1 star is: The downside of used cars is that the gas wasn't filled. I think when someone spends a nice penny or even buys a car, the gas should be more than 1/2 tank at the minimum. I'm not really complaining but I have seen multiple posts of gas being low, mine was little less than 1/2 tank. Other than that, it was an easy process. Please don't purchase any vehicles from this auto dealer. They are cheating and lying. I bought a bus but they didn't reveal that registration was expired for 2 years. I found it later and they want me to pay half of the fees. Not fully honest. My mechanic found that Cadylac Converter was missing. They didn't tell me in advance. It is cheating. I asked to fix it or adjust the price of purchasing price and they said they will fix it, so trusted thus company and later my mechanic said they didn't put the right part and welding is not complete so it makes big noise. I complained about it and manager Tia said she trust their mechanic, which means they fixed correctly. It is lying. She said she will talked to the owner and get back to me. I waited 3 days, but no responses. I visited the office and she gave me lots of excuses not to be responsible. I briefly mentioned that I may take this matter to the court and she said I threatened her. She stop talking to me. This dealer is not honest and cheating and lying to customers. Update: 10 months and 20,000 miles later, car still drives great. I rent it on Turo, so it takes a beating too, and the Jeep has been really solid. It was maybe 6 months away from needing tires and brakes when I got it, but I knew this, so no surprises there. It had a bad sensor in the brakes, 25$ later that's handled. Petty stuff, totally expected with a used car. The registration was back two years, Star Auto took care of that no questions asked. I took a big risk buying this car, and it worked out pretty awesome in the end thanks to these guys. I doubt I'd have pulled the trigger if they weren't as willing to work with me as they were. read more

I went to claim the credit and was denied it. The 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE was clean, and looked like it had been well maintained. It drove well, so I said I'll take it. Sam was friendly and completed the paperwork to go to the Finance Manager, Tia. I know the value of the Extended Service Plan they offered, so I purchased that as well (definitely make sure you at least listen to what it offers!). I have held off posting a review for a few months to see if the truck I bought was properly operational. Let me first say I had real reservations about buying a used car from non-manufacturer dealerships. These little lots with cars packed in, mostly unwashed and just a mix-match inventory. I bought this for my son and didn't want to pay a lot for a kid who would bang it up (which he already did). Found a truck online we liked and at our price range and went to Star Auto to check it out. So here's my review. After walking the lot and looking at their truck selection and looking for that specific vehicle we were approached by Justin. We told him what we were looking for and he said "oh, we might have just sold that one". I thought here we go, the old bait and switch. But he check in the office and said that he did have my vigil early on the lot. We found it and looked it over and did a test drive. We liked it, negotiated it and drove away with it within an hour. We bought 2016 toyota SUV , was good when we test driving but ,, it rained few days after and water stayed inside one of taillight so we replace it ourselves , 2 weeks after we found lots of white smoke comes out from exhaust when start up everytime after more than 20‐30min drive . These might be a bad luck but cost a lot to fix it, and what im upset about is they charged $400 for registration fee and we thought it because they were going to get a new license plate, but when we got new license plate the registration expires in 6 month so we call them. They said they charge it everyone but dont charge full if it expires in 1 month . We dont get it, if so 6 month should be $200. They said they are going to ask boss about it then let us know. Since then we called them 2 time already and what they said was waiting for boss so let us know. We've been waiting for 2 weeks or more now and i dont know how long they're going to let us wait . Don't do any business with these crooks!! I bought a car from these fools. The sales person push a warranty on me saying I really needed it. After completing the purchase I noticed how loud it was when starting it up and realized it had no muffler. I took it to exhaust Hawaii to see what was going on with the car. They put it up to take a look and the guy told me it had no muffler, no resonator, no catalytic converter and a huge pipe running from the turbo to the tail pipe. This is called a straight pipe exhaust. I called the warranty place to check if the vehicle warranty will cover repairs on my vehicle they asked me why did I buy a warranty because they do not do warranties on modified vehicle . Also saying the sales person should have known that. Called the dealership and been trying to get back my money that I paid for the warranty which was over $3,000 . This was over 2 years ago. I have been calling them and going down to the dealership and they always hav an excuse for me! Your sales person sold me a bogus warranty and I want my money back!
