You know, I like it used to be back in the good old days. Also, WTF is the issue with people who think it's OK to whisper during a movie? I am there to see the movie, not to listen to you whisper. And if you brought your kids, keep them quiet. I didn't pay a premium ticket price to listen to your kid talk through the movie. And keep your phones off during the movie. I don't want to be distracted by your phone when I'm trying to watch a movie. People who can't behave around others should just stay home. Of course it was a false alarm but I appreciated the response to get everyone out and make sure it was safe. We missed the ending of our movie but we were provided passes for our next trip and free popcorn. Overall, it was a great experience on how to handle emergency situations and maintain professionalism, quality, and courtesy. I highly recommend you visit this location.

When I tried to redeem those codes, they failed using the same system. At this point I give up on this theater. It was fine when you pressed a button to get service, but ever since they switched to using QR-based phone ordering it has gotten worse. Not to mention that every now and then a movie that has subtitles or captions will get cut off like it did during predator badlands so you just don't know what's going on. You're better off either seeing a movie at home or driving up to South Austin to see a movie at Cinemark, Regal, or even AMC.

For the most part, Santikos is GREAT. The quality of their auditoriums and the sound is amazing. HOWEVER, Santikos Galaxy has been going downhill as far as the movie-going experience. It's now been TWICE, where there's been other customers in the auditorium making noises, talking, disrupting the movie, all of that stuff. The first time, I had to walk out and get a refund for my ticket. The second time, which was today, me and my friend stayed, even though there were some issues with people disrupting the movie. I've worked at many theaters, and theater checking/auditorium checks are part of the job as an usher! It doesn't seem like Galaxy is doing their job in making sure there's no disruptions during the movie. I won't be paying money to go see a movie at Santikos Galaxy again for a while. I love the aesthetics of the place and the 80's vibe, but man, I can't stand it when I'm trying to focus on the movie and my teacher brain is turning on, wanting to tell the kids (and sometimes grown adults) to be quiet.
