Attended the Halloween 2025 showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show (50th anniversary) last night…read moreand had so much fun. The cast was terrific and acted out the scenes as the movie played on the big screen. The audio was also great. Our seats were in the balcony, row AA, seats 4&5 and we could see everything very well. I've been around long enough In New Braunfels to remember Elizabeth Elliot who started this theatre. Her daughter is now at the helm and on the board of directors . This theatre attracts very talented actors, singers, dancers for performances. They also do a Wurstfest show during the 10 day celebration of all things Wurst. If you check in December they offer package deals where you can pick the shows you want to attend or buy the entire season. Makes a great Christmas gift .

I think the place fits maybe 140ish people at most but every seat is a good one. They offer an array of performances from things we all know and are familiar with to unique pieces. Their latest productions opens in a few weeks and is called Dog sees God (a palindrome). Basically the Peanuts characters are in high school meets Pulp Fiction meets Mean Girls meets breakfast club. We bought tickets and can't wait to see the performance. We most of the cast last night and they are a talented little group of folk. They gave us a tour of the place including a green room and sets in the basement. Check them out!

What I love about this company is they bring together an ensemble of ordinary folk and crank out some really decent productions. There is a special focus on getting kids involved in the arts, which is so vital these days as arts appreciation is de-emphasized in our educational system. There is a 2008 revival of 'A Christmas Carol' in production. I'd encourage each of you to take the short drive down I-35 from Austin or San Antonio and check out their productions.

We came to Cowboys & Cadillacs as it seemed like a cool place to go. They have dinning inside. But outside roof top there is a huge stage, and big fire pit. The second level is more seating and a bar. A lot of people were out. A couple "brides to be" with their party were out too. The band was good. Ordered a blueberry mojito. Very nice. Also ordered their flat bread pizza. Loved the bbq sauce that was on it. And picked jalapeños. Great night over all.

The instruction was easy to follow and entertaining. We enjoyed the bar with reasonably priced drinks. This was a free sampling of the weekly dance lessons and dance social hosted by Swing Junction on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (swing one night and country two-step the other). At the Valentine's Dance they played music for both styles of dance, as well as some line dances. The room was festively decorated for the holiday. Fun time!
