Over the years, when I have needed a box of chocolate or several chocolate products for a gift or the holidays, I would go to See's Candies located near the Paradise Valley Mall. The staff were always nice, the prices were reasonable, and I always got a sample of a piece of chocolate on each visit. Today, I went to this Sees Candies location with my wife to get a pound of chocolates. There were assorted chocolates, nuts & chews, soft centers, chocolate & variety, milk chocolates, dark chocolates, caramels, bridge mix, and more. We decided on a box of assorted chocolates. While we saw many other options, this was a rather quick visit. We were offered a sample of the Dark Scotchmallow, consisting of honey marshmallow and vanilla caramel (and dark chocolate). I found it absolutely delicious! My wife doesn't eat marshmallow so she settled on another chocolate sample. The two staff members working were so nice and very helpful. This location's hours were from 10 AM to 6 PM from Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM on Sunday, and 10 AM to 5 PM on Monday. They have a candy counter. It is one of many See's locations in the area along with the occasional seasonal pop up location. Been to this location twice. Both times Ive placed an online order and went in to pick it up. Both times their system is wait in line like a retail customer who is placing a store order. Most stores in 2026 have a mobile/online order pickup area. Just saying management should address this deficiency. Yelp on! read more

I am delighted to report that the See's Candies store in Paradise Valley is open and you can safely buy chocolate by either calling in or online. I was sitting in the parking lot, called in my order for my favorite truffles (dark chocolate chip), walked around to the front of the store and was able to safely (outside with distancing, masks and no contact card payment) pick up my freshly wrapped box plus free samples of chocolate lollipops, truffles and krisps. The service was great and I had a cooler with me so I made it home in the heat with the real deal, delicious and pretty chocolates just like you would expect from See's. read more

Ever since I was a little girl, Looking down my Christmas Stocking, and pulling out that iconic white wrapped box, or picking through that silky long, green grass in my Easter Basket,to seek out my See's Easter Egg! See's has been a special treat, and still is today! I seriously can't walk into See's without a smile! It brings me right back to a little girl, hand in hand with my Mom, knowing that I'll be offered a FREE piece of chocolate, was such a highlight, and special time! I carried on the See's tradition to my own three children, and I know they will do the same one day! Today I was greeted, in that same old fashion way, of course a sweet little lady, wearing her black and white crisp uniform, offered me a dark chocolate coconut covered candy, placed neatly in its brown paper wrapper! Sees candy has been my favorite since I was little. My favorite is Milk Bordeaux & Summertime. Unfortunately, this location seems to be out of Milk Bordeaux often. It's cheaper to buy the chocolate in the store but you can find a better selection online. read more

Great-looking storefront! With all of the greenery (lush trees, shrubs, and flowers), I felt like I was on vacation somewhere tropical! And this experience, even if only for a few seconds, is a wonderful feeling-- a sweet gift, if you will! :) Some of the usual items on display aren't since the staff has brought out all of their Easter items. Lots of cute pastel-colored and foiled hollow bunnies (both in milk and dark chocolate), mini-eggs, larger eggs, both hollow and filled, jelly beans, pastel-colored truffles, and decorated eggs to choose from. I lamented that none of the mini-chocolate bunnies ($1.15) came in dark chocolate, but I was told that they came in medium- and large-sized chocolate rabbits ($5.65 and $9.70, respectively). I came in for 13 candy bars in both milk and dark chocolate, and left with those plus three mini-chocolate milk bunnies. [Shh!! The dark chocolate bars with almonds are for me!] :D Note: As you may or may not know, one of See's trademarks is to offer everyone a sample. What you may not know is that the clerks are given at least two or three truffle selections to choose from, which means you may or may not get what the person in front of you received. Today, my surprise free sample was a dark chocolate bordeaux, with brown sugar buttercream. Haven't eaten it yet... Clean, classy, and like a blast from the past. I have fond memories of visiting a See's Candy store as a kid -- smelling the fresh chocolate and letting my gaze wander over the amazing selection of chocolates. Not much has changed in 20-30 years. And to be honest, I think that's a good thing. The showroom might seem sterile and, well ... 'white'. (Almost like a really clean and spacious bathroom). But be sure to ask for whatever samples they might have available -- they won't even make you buy anything (but I dare you to walk out without giving some of your money to those nice old ladies that work behind the counter). I've taken my two daughters there (11 and 8) and they keep asking me when we're going to go back. The staff at See's Candy's really seem to know how to treat kids nicely. What's not to love about See's Candies? Growing up, it was always a treat to get a See's candy box during the holidays and slowly devour the entire thing. (In between holiday ham, cookies, pie, etc.) As an adult, I luckily have more restraint and only indulge occasionally. I like to attribute this to the fact that I prefer dark chocolate and that is See's one downfall. They have way more milk chocolate candies than dark chocolate. When they had dark chocolate turtles (pecans/caramel), I bought several for myself and the milk chocolate for my husband. Big mistake. He ate both the milk and the dark! Unfortunately, the location isn't great and it's kind of hard to get into the parking lot - let alone find decent parking. (It's awkward. Like "I might not be able to physically leave if I parked there" sort of awkward.) The inside is spacious, but it can get crowded depending on the number of customers to employees ratio. If there are plenty of employees, it's not too bad. The employees have always been nice and friendly. Overall, if I was in the area and craving candy, I would stop by. read more

I come here to buy gifts every couple months or so and always have a good experience. The service is always top notch despite sometimes having to wait a longer period of time. They also give a complimentary chocolate sample whenever you visit. The chocolates are wonderful and consistent. I personally enjoy the chocolate bordeaux candies, milk butter cream and peanut butter patties. Always a huge hit and I've never had one that was not a good quality. It gets packed around the holidays and Easter and Mother's Day as it's quite a popular gift. They have gift wrapping options and pre chosen boxes, but you can opt to make a personalized box with ones you want. They are higher up on the pricing scale but I think of it as worth it, since I'm buying sweets from a company with a trusted reputation and track record. I agree with other reviewer this place has not changed since I was a kid (albeit I did not actually go this one - I grew up in SF and the one I went to actually made the candy - off of El Camino in South San Fran). I received a gift certificate and decided to stop by. I was greeted by a lady dressed as Mrs Sees. I nearly forgot about that..... She was very helpful in selecting chocolates. If you ever have a chocolate craving... See's is the place to go. Every time I have been here I get a free chocolate! If that doesn't get you in the door, I don't know what will. It always smells sweet and inviting. Everyone behind the counter is always smiling and helpful (I would probably be smiling too if I worked around chocolate all day). All I have to say is thank goodness they don't have this store back where I am from or I would gain soooo much weight. This store generously gave both my mom and I a full size candy to try (not just a sliver) and even gave us an extra one for my grandma who was waiting in the car. Updating since last review. Before COVID began its troubles, See's candies were and are the best. Service seemed better, I just avoid the holiday times when extra help is added and not such good customer service. With Covid not all choices are in abundance which is understandable. The wait seems to be much longer which is understandable but not too my liking. So when I drive by I check if there is a line outside and if it's too long then that makes my decision to try another time! read more

I love See's. My family has been getting chocolate there since I was little. The stores haven't changed much over the years. They know what works and have stuck with it. My favorite are the cherry cordials, mayfairs, and butterscotch squares. I love that they still give out a free sample. I have been to really pricey chocolate shops and they do not give out samples. I love this place!!!! It smells wonderful and everything is delicious. Stopped by for a back to school treat and was greeted with their customary free sample of a chocolate buttercream. We ordered a pound and had fun picking the different candies to fill our box. The offer complimentary wrapping but there was no need as we will be diving into it shortly. Just a few minutes ago the store had five people working behind the chocolate bar and nobody on the other side checking out people that just wanted to buy boxes or items that were ready. Sees is the best chocolate there is no reason to go anywhere else for candy! However at this location I find the employees to be rude and not welcoming. You always have to ask for a sample and when they give it to you they seem annoyed.If I ask questions about items that they are out of they act as if I am insulting them personally!I will not go to this location again the employees at the central and camelback location are very friendly and super generous. I have never had a bad experience there in the past 15 years. It's really too bad that the cactus location has such an opposite view in customer service. read more

I just went for the very first time. I was having a nostalgic moment and decided I would hit the local branch near my home. Growing up, my mother bought several Kinds of Easter Candy that were always in the basket. Then she continued the tradition with my children. My mother passed away 8 years ago and this year I suddenly remembered the candies. I went in last week and immediately spotted the candies. The service was delightful and they seemed happy to help a newcomer. I mailed all the candies to my grown children who were delighted with the memories created of their beloved Grandmother.
