Sugar Drop Candy Shop is a store located at the Arizona Boardwalk, right next to the OdySea Aquarium. My daughter and I stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon during Christmas week, visiting from Las Vegas. There is a wide selection of candy! The store was clean, well organized, and inventory was fully stocked! You can choose your own candy by using one of Sugar Drop's Candy Bag, scoop it, and then weigh it. I thought the pricing was pretty expensive though! There are also pre-package candy as well as some unique flavorings! At the front register, Sugar Drop Candy also has offerings of baked goods such as brownies, muffins, fudge, cookies and more! On the wall, there is a selection to choose from Jelly Beans too! My daughter and I had fun at this store, but it is expensive!

On our way back from lunch we had to stop at the Sugar Drop Candy Shop! My girls saw this place and about lost it. You think they had won the lottery. So bright and colorful! Full of candy and toys galore. Being a health nut and the girls just toddlers we picked a couple of pur favorites and headed to the register. Aubrey was working today. Some young girls had come in with a bit of sass and their masks were down to their chins. Aubrey kindly reminded them to please put them on. The girls put them on with plenty of attitude and Aubrey did a fantastic job making light of it! She even told thrm thank you and thry got 5 gold stars for being such good sports. They were pretty cool after that. Check put was a breeze and we were on our way. I saw some reviews about being over charged. I was asked if I wanted a receipt and I had said no thank you. I was concerned so I looked online really fast and pur charge was correct. We have yet to conquer the OdySea Adventure so you bet we will be back for treats again!

Stale old candy $19.80 a pound is criminal. Went on a Sunday and the shop was EMPTY at a busy location.

Got an item from the 50% Off rack, and paid $14 for it. So am I supposed to believe that the item cost $28 originally?

From the bags I could fill up with whatever I wanted (that was later weighed and paid for by pound) to the tasty gifts and candy, I had plenty to look at and a lot of temptations to face. While I didn't go into the store with the intention to purchase anything, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to get a bag of candies and chocolates that I knew my wife would enjoy as a special treat for her. I then got a similar bag with some candies and chocolates I knew I would enjoy. Most of the candies and chocolates were unique ones that I've had something similar but not this before, so I had the opportunity to try a few of the candies and chocolates when I got home. The cashier was the only staff member in the store at that time, and she was very helpful and kind. She walked me through how the process for getting candied and chocolates. She also offered me the opportunity to buy a MAKE-A-WISH WISH POP, which was a colorful star lollipop, which only cost one dollar. Twenty cents from every purchase will benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation. But honestly... what a way to go. Every time I do treat myself to a visit, it's pure joy. The aisles feel like a time machine stocked with everything I grew up eating, the classics, the throwbacks, the "I forgot this even existed" gems. It's the kind of place where you catch yourself smiling at a random shelf because a candy bar just unlocked a childhood memory. The store is bright, fun, and packed with options, and the staff keeps everything tidy and easy to browse. More than I wanted to spend to take pics of the girls? Yes, but they truly enjoyed themselves. There are eight different rooms and each has unique photo opportunities and most have a treasure chest of candy to take (my purse was loaded from the three of us). It's definitely hard towards kids. I did see a group of adults go through and they looked to be having fun, but for the money I suggest only take kids as they can fit on the swings and fun chairs. You can move through at your own pace, but once you move forward they ask that you not backtrack. My girls spent the most time in the confetti room...with an employee using a leaf blower to blow it around. The employee was fun and kind and helped set up photo ideas and kept the girls giggling. The second favorite was of course the marshmallow pit at the end. Again, the employee made it fun and he had a smile the whole time. The gift shop at the end (open to public without cost of a ticket) was filled with fun candies and souvenirs. Luckily we picked up enough candy throughout the rooms that no more was needed. Overall, it was a fun hour for two little giggling girls.
