After contacting several camera installers and being quoted way to much I found SecurityBud. Talked With Dann and his staff about installing cameras at our tow yard and not only did we get a good price for cameras the quality of work was even better. They came out and installed all the cameras in 1 day and setup everything in 1 day, which was very impressive. The 4K cameras look great! Thanks SecurityBud cant wait to watch the cameras all night :) read more

Dan and his team have been our go to for security for some years now. They are always great to work with! He's been out to hook up security cameras, connect them for viewing on TVs and cell phones. Also installed extenders so we get WiFi through the entire house... You can't go wrong with hiring SecurityBud... read more

A couple of weeks ago, when our home security system started making noise, we called the SecurityBud Inc. and Dan answered the phone immediately and set up a service appointment. He came to replace all the batteries needed to make sure the system was working correctly. We have learned that his business vision has focused more on the commercial security system than the residential business, but he will still support his residential accounts, which gives us peace of mind, because we trust him. read more

We originally had our home camera system installed over 5 years ago. The service was excellent and professional then, as it was for a trouble issue service call we recently had. I'm glad to see Dan's small business still thriving and his high standards remaining the same. *And no, we are not personal friends or family...just another satisfied customer* read more

Dan set up the cameras at our business and we're really satisfied with his service. His response time is very quick, he's super nice and very knowledgeable. Pricing is good and installation is very clean. read more

1/11/13 - Met with Dan as he came out to our location to do an estimate. I needed to add cameras to my parent's house to capture activity in front of house as there are cars parked out in front and may stick around during the later hours. I wanted to setup a surveillance system for their home to take footage of activity out in front of the house as well as in the back yard. Sometimes the dogs will bark constantly but we don't know if people are out in front or it's a cat, dog or coyote, etc. With a video surveillance system we would be able to see the footage on TV or on our smart phone or computer. Dan came across very professional and took the time to explain all the details on what would work best for what I was looking for. Didn't try to rush me or pressure me into anything specific. Just wanted to find out what my needs were and fulfill them at the best price possible. He provided me several quotes for different quality of cameras to work within my budget. 1/20/13 - After getting quotes from other vendors Security Bud came across as the most competitive. The only concern for me now was the job that they were going to do. Got in touch with Dan, told him the quote I liked for the 6 cameras I wanted to have installed and we set a date for him and his crew to come out. 1/25/13 - They arrived early 9am (Dan showed up at 8:35am) and got to work right away. Dan emphasized to his crew on making the installation "look pretty" so as to make the camera installation, wiring look less noticeable and hidden. *TIP* - Cover lunch for the guys while they're working and bring it back so they can have lunch on location. It'll save them time, they'll appreciate it and do an even better job. It will also save YOU time so they don't need to go out for a lunch break. The crew...Dan, Nick and Vincente are genuinely professional and take the time to answer questions or address any concerns we had. After they had been working for some time I could start to tell that they honestly want to do a good job for us and address any concerns we had. They finished the majority of their work today but will be back tomorrow to finish the rest...there were some delays due to the rain. One tiny issue I had was that the carpet was left a little dirty after gaining access to the attic. No big deal as I just needed to do a little vacuuming after they finished up their work there. They did take the extra step to cover the ladder legs when placed on the carpet and they did take their shoes off when entering the household as requested so you know they are trying. 1/26/13 - Arrived 8am sharp and went right to work to finish the rest of what they needed to get done. Overall the work they did for the installation of the cameras looks incredible. Now we have full coverage of front yard, front door and the street area as well as the backyard including the side walkways. With a 1 TB hard drive we have nearly 1 month's worth of high-resolution footage and can always go back to look over any significant events that have taken place. Nick had mentioned to me that some people try to pickup their own video camera system and install it themselves. The wiring that's left out could easily be tampered with or cut. The thought of trying to install them myself had crossed my mind as well but I could NEVER do what these guys could do and was glad I got professionals to do the entire installation. If you don't have experience professionally installing a setup like this don't even try it. What takes them one day to do could take a week or more and it still wouldn't even match their level of work. Also, the quality of the professional grade video cameras offered by Security Bud are far greater than what you'd find available for retail. The cool thing about it is that you can download an app on your iPhone or Android phone and bring up your video footage in real-time. If the dogs are barking I can open the app and check what's going on around the house. Even when we're out and I just want to check on the house I just open the app and view the footage. Honestly, it can't get better than that. Remember that you're inviting strangers from a business to setup a surveillance system in your business or home. For me it was vital to find people that are trustworthy, offer great customer service and can do a professional job. The team at Security Bud are just that and got the job done right. Very impressed with their professionalism and overall work. Security Bud rocks and would definitely recommend them to friends and family! read more

Although they couldn't complete my request as they don't do residential, they answered the phone

I had nothing but positive things to say when our residential cameras were installed. Now since the company does not do residential cameras. Getting any type of help is an automatic 300-dollar charge. I know the warehouses are where the money is at but it sucks for homeowners that were there when your business started out to charge them that much just to look at why they can't see their cameras on their phone app. read more

Dam came to my facility and gave me a quote. He was super familiar with the Sacramento regulations in our industry, this is extremely important for us to gain licensure with the city. SecurityBud is probably the worst experience i've ever had with a company. Stay away from them at all costs, i'm pretty sure most of the reviews they have are from friends and family members. I had them set up some cameras at my place of business and the camera system ending up malfunctioning less than a year later, and it is not even letting us log back in to our system, it's like the whole system reset on its own and the cameras stopped working. We called them and they refused to help us out in anyway that didn't include them making a quick buck, very disappointing. They clearly value money over morals. Save yourself the headache and go with a different company. read more

Dan the owner at security Bud is very personable, a straight shooter, and honest. He says what he's going to do and he keeps his word for sales, service, and installation. This is a legitimate FIVE STAR (rave) review! A couple of dumb M*$! F@(king LOSERS decided to access the top of my two story commercial building and somehow managed to steal two very large (and extremely heavy) commercial air conditioning units. I guess that wasn't enough for these dirt bags because they then vandalized a couple more units (which also required replacing). Total Damage: $18,000. As often is the case, I was somewhat late to the party... and decided it would be a good idea to install security cameras with motion detection up there so I can be notified of an "event", check it on my laptop and notify the police if I saw anything (for example: ac units being removed from the roof). So, I do what I always do... turn to YELP. I saw that SecurityBud had high reviews, and liked that some of the comments said they came in (cost-wise) a little under the competition. I called the owner, Dan and was able to reach him right away. Dan's came out to the building, took photos and later that day I received a couple of different quotes for various options. Dan said we need to install an internet connection so I can check in remotely on the "action" - so I called AT&T. In the meantime, Dan installed the cameras and panel quickly while we were waiting for AT&T to provide an internet hookup. (AT&T came by, and said they couldn't run the internet cable to the building (WTF ?!?!?!). So, guess what? DAN DID IT! Even though it wasn't his job... he ran the cable that AT&T should have done. (There was more with AT&T that I won't get into here, but look for a review coming soon). I (and my wife) are extremely happy and satisfied with Dan and his company, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND SecurityBud to anyone needing a security system. Superior customer service, excellent prices... and great stories about cars! We're going to have him install a system on our home as well. *FIVE*STAR*REVIEW*AWESOME! read more

Caveat Emptor! Buyer beware! Reviewers read my comments to SecurityBud in order to get the full understanding and extent of my poor experience with SecurityBud, Dan and Sindy. This particular entry is in response to SecurityBud "update" on 11/30/15, which makes personal attacks against me: Dear Dan and Sindy, My posts are genuinely interested in making sure no one else interested in protecting their family has the same bad experience that I had with SecurityBud. At a minimum, My posts could have provided you some experience and incentive on how NOT to treat customers. I'm not sure what your mean by alternative means of marketing but unless you change your approach to service/product quality and customer service, any alleged success at getting people to initially trust you with their security will not last. I sincerely hoped you would change the way you did business but the tone of your last update and personal attacks just shows nothing has changed at a SecurityBud. read more

I was looking for a professional company to install security cameras at my house. I came across securitybud. I called them and the owner Dan came out to my house to give me quote right away. He made me feel comfortable right off the start. He assessed my home and gave me multiple options for camera configuration around my house. I had obtained quotes from other companies but Dan was the most reasonable and he provided the most options and worked with my budget. The day of installation, Dan and one of his technicians, Angel, arrived on time and installed 6 cameras outside my home. They were fast, efficient, and Dan really pays attention to detail. He went the extra mile to make sure I was completely satisfied and even offered to exchange my black cameras after they were already installed, with white ones, for free. He is very clean and his technician even offered to vacuum my floor when they were done installing a camera in my den and a little dust got on the floor. I got the 1080p camera resolution and the camera footage is very clear and the night vision looks like it is daylight outside. I was so impressed with their work that I had them come back and install 2 more cameras in my home. Dan even set up my remote viewing access on my iPad and cell phone so I can see my cameras anywhere I go. read more

Very pleased with Dan and his team. The day I inquired about services for our corporate building, he and Sindy came down for a walk thru. That evening we had a proposal and a few days later we were scheduled for install. Install took 1.5 days and the on site crew were very professional, nice and efficient. They showed us how to see everything on our phones and computers and the HD cameras look great and crisp! Highly recommend Dan and his team. read more

A couple of months ago I read so many favorable reviews about SecurityBud that after 2 other estimates from other companies with good reviews, we decided for a 5 camera system for our home. We were extremely pleased with the outcome of the installation and quality of the unit. Today, 10/10/2015 I called Dan at SecurityBud to advise him that one camera was blurry and another was kind of "jumpy" when viewed on my iPad. Dan quickly set up an appointment, showed up on time and re-adjusted the units. He also did some custom setting up as requested by me. Dan and his company are awesome! I highly recommend them and am thankful that the service is not through after the sale. Dan's work ethic is beyond expectations. Give them a call. you will not be sorry. read more

After considering security system options at our home we chose Security Bud. Our system is awesome and competitively priced . The best of the best providing a secure residence and peace of mind. Most impressive is Security Bud's after sale service. We've been a customer for about two years. Security Bud's team is most professional. There a customer service exceeds that of Nordstrom's. Too bad we are limited to only five stars. read more

Absolutely fantastic service and great pricing! Daniel and his Team take the time as well to explain and walk through any questions/concerns that you might have. After installation, I ran into a few issues (created by myself, including where I accidentally had the DVR system fall from it's shelf and the wires came out), where Dan came out himself to help me resolve at no cost, which I found astounding in this day and age! My neighbors recently had their home broken into and I easily recommended SecurityBud on the spot (during one of Dan's visits to help with my system), to which they signed up as well. Last week , I was so impressed by Securitybud, I had them install a system in my parents house as well! Dan and his Team stand by their products and service, so if you're looking for a security camera company, this is the one to go with! I am definitely a life long customer! read more

We are very pleased with the Video Security system that Security Bud recently installed at our Home. You should take the security of your home or business very seriously, never under estimate what someone is capable of. Selecting the right business alarm system for your organization is something you need to get right, so there are a number of things you should consider. Consultation - Because all businesses are different, it would be very hard to come up with an 'off the shelf' business security system that's right for all of them. Most commercial alarm companies appreciate this and usually offer a free consultation to assess your needs, and come up with a security solution that's designed for your or-ganization. Security Bud was nothing short of excellent with their consultation. Service and Support - Businesses invest in a commercial alarm system so their premises and their assets are protected around the clock. So it's essential that, if there is ever a fault or a problem with your system, it is taken care of quickly and effi-ciently. Security Bud offers excellent service and support will make sure your security system is always capable of safeguarding your business. Not only that but you can check on your business from your iphone. I was recently on vacation and would occasionally pull my cameras up on my phone. The video was crystal clear and I could relax knowing my business was safe. When it comes to finding the right organization to install your business's security system, it can be difficult to decide which company to choose, especially as there are a number of large, national providers who all appear to have the ideal systems and expertise. We had ADT come out for a consult and they quoted us almost double what Security Bud charged. I know that labor and equipment can be expensive but I wasn't prepared to be hit over the head with that amount. I called Security Bud and they did the job for almost half and upgraded all the equipment from the ADT quote. Security Bud got the job done at a price I could afford. They also did it professionally, friendly and quickly. I have since referred them two jobs from other business owners I work with. I recommend Security Bud to anyone wanting to relax knowing everything they've worked so hard for is safe! read more

Reasons to use this company: 1. Prompt, professional, and courteous - way more so than ADT! 2. Reasonably priced! 3. Small, family owned business I needed a contact on our existing, unmonitored alarm system repaired. It was broken and setting off my alarm at random, irritating intervals. After many wasted calls to ADT and other security firms - none of whom would even give me the time of day since I was uninterested in monitoring service - I finally called Security Bud. The receptionist was courteous and professional, informed me of the (reasonable) trip charge and scheduled an appointment for the following day. I got a text confirming and giving me the name of the person who'd be coming. The technician called on his way, and was friendly and knowledgable. I would have paid almost anything if I had to, to fix the annoying problem, of this stupid contact setting off the chime over and over, but the guy (Dan), charged me an $85 trip charge and $100 for the wireless contact. He also fixed a magnet contact for free AND reprogrammed my alarm since this is a rental and we didn't know the code, so now we can use it when we leave. And he very patiently walked me through the use of the system. They were so efficient and professional, I assumed they were a huge company, but after talking with Dan, he told me they are a very small, family owned business. In all, I highly recommend this company. read more

I shopped around for a good trustable company, and Security Bud is as good as it gets. Honeslty, when I first met Dan, he didn't seem like a tech nerd, but his knowledge of this business definitely impressed me. You can tell he really is passionate about his job. He gives honest advice and is very knowledgeable. I own a small business and I don't have a budget for a huge security system, he fitted me with everything I needed and more. He even zip tied all the loose lines (even the ones that had nothing to do with him) because as he said "he cant stand loose lines" With all the companies I have worked with I can sense when the employees and owner really believe in their products or if theyre just working a 9-5. At security bud you can tell they love what they do and it shows in their service. I quoted 4 different security companies before finding Security Bud and after looking around they are hands down the best! Definitely recommend! read more

Amazing service! Dan just left my store and I couldn't have been happier to call him and SecurityBud. We've had an issue with one of our cameras and our DVR for years now. I've had other companies come by and take a look and they all recommended we spent $1K+ on a new DVR and install. Dan was able to resolve my issue with the camera, tell me about the DVR we are using and let me know my options. Within 30 min he accomplished what no other company has been able to do for years. I can't recommend Dan and SecurityBud enough! I will be calling them for all our security camera needs in the future. read more

Dan and his team are truly outstanding. My wife and I knew nothing about security systems and were looking for something halfway decent for our house and ended up getting truly amazing service. Dan met with me countless times to go over the types of cameras that would work best for our home, the type of setup we were looking for and all the options like monthly fire and home monitoring service, which we definitely wanted. Dan's crew were prompt every day and cleaned up as though they were never there. They also work with a painter who will go through when they're done installing and make the walls look even better than did before they did the installation! But the best part of Dan's company is really the service. And to me that's what you're really paying for when you hire contractors, especially ones in the security industry that you'll be relying on in the years and months ahead. Dan and his staff would answer their phones seemingly at all hours of the day or night, on the weekends, etc. to answer any question I had no matter how ridiculous. I know Dan takes a lot of pride in their service and SecurityBud really is the Nordstrom's of security companies in this area. They have real people who really answer their phones and take care of you. To me that kind of service is priceless. Thank you Dan to you and your team for all your help!!! read more

We had security bud install a 16 ip camera setup , with 2 mounted flat screens in my business last year. They were prompt , professional and stand by their work: Since I had purchased the system beforehand , one of the cameras was inadequate for this one particular need so I purchased a camera through security bud. After the installation of the system we noticed that this camera was having intermittent issues (most likely didn't work well with the DVR we purchased or the camera was defective) After they checked the connections and wiring we noticed the issues were still cropping up. Dan was extremely responsive, ordered a new ip cam, came out a few days later and replaced it with a better model, no charge! We haven't had a single issue since! They stand by their work . There is no hesitation saying Security Bud is one of the best businesses I have ever hired. From the first time I met Dan (owner) I knew I was dealing with a professional, his knowledge, guidance and follow thru is unprecedented. I could tell Dan takes a lot of pride in his business and goes the extra mile to insure the project is completed far beyond your expectations. They showed up when they said unlike most contractors and completed each phase of the job in a timely manner.
