There are plenty of washers and dryers both small and large and the prices per machine are pretty reasonable. The staff are friendly and always helpful when neccessary. Avoid fridays though as it seems to be wash day and you will find yourself waiting around for machines!!

If you live in the area or have some form of manual skill related emergency whilst in the area, Jones is you best bet. They do key cutting, engraving and shoe repairs all to the highest standard. Jones also will not shy away from properly shorting out boots for you too, as some cobblers tend to do. I also really like the little puppet type man that they STILL have in their little window. I wonder how long he has been performing his menial yet essential task for the people of Glossop?

It'll be fixed. The guys that run easy tel can sort you out with anything that has a current in it. I had phones unlocked, relocked and lost the most random wires for devices, when I show up at easy tel they'll have something to sort it out, for a fiver. For those without internet (blasphemous) then head there you can flick through reviews on yelp for hours for 50p.

Soap Opera is a dry cleaners in Alkrington, next Alkrington Barbers and Best One newsagents, just off and viewable from the main road, hence on a bus route where one comes basically every few minutes, due to it being the way to Manchester from Middleton bus station (just down the road) The store is actually quite small, and you can not wash things yourself and wait, they do it for you. I would say this is a bad thing as you can't waltz in with your favourite bedding (you can't fit in your washer) and walk back out, the same day with it, you have to wait some time, often a few days for them to do it. I really do not like this. It is quite pricey here due to the service they provide, (doing it themselves) and if I remember it cost £12 for one small (ish [ but still couldn't fit in my washer ] blanket, which is quite pricey but they simply add it on because they are doing it - which is not optional. The only reason I keep coming back is the location and due to the price and the service meaning you can't do it yourself, and it simply not being the nicest of shops due to its' design and the till blocking most of the shop, I can only give 2 stars.
