My husband and I used and reviewed Security Public Storage years ago. We FINALLY found our review (It should be in the chain, close to the bottom, but I copied it here - below today's review). I decided to use them again. Today I rented a storage unit, to use it for a short while. The experience was exactly the same! Everything I said in 2015 continues to be true - even the managers are the same! I'm very happy, Yvonne Lebherz Dave L. Frederick, MD 140 5/12/2015 I highly recommend this storage facility and would use them again. I rented a unit for 2 months & just checked out today. The grounds were secure and the managers live close by, so access to help, if needed, is very convenient. Access to the facility off of Rt 40 was also very convenient. The managers, Ric & Layla Sitnek were clear, concise and business-like; I felt confident to leave my things in their care. It's difficult for me to compare costs to other facilities - size of unit, location of unit, type of unit & then what was available at the various local facilities made this complicated. My recommendation is to check out several before you commit. Luckily I did, and settled on Security Public Storage at 17 Western Drive. read more

LIARS. 1. No one ever contacted me at any time since my move. My phone number and email address have been the same for years and SPS regularly sent me bills at my email address. Let's see this bounced email you claim to have received! You won't because it doesn't exist. 2. I changed my review from 3 to 4 stars when I was told that I could have 24-hour access to the unit after passing a background check. My initial 3 star review was based in part on the limited hours. In fact no one at SPS ever actually came through with the access! You yourself said in your last message on yelp that you would "take care of me". Then you never responded again. 3. The movers did not leave trash in the hallway. I was there. The only place trash was left was in the unit itself. Even if they had, leaving trash in the hallway would not legally permit you to lock me out of the unit I paid for, nor destroy my property. 4. I had paid for the unit up until the 21st. Your denying me access to what I paid for is illegal, not to mention unethical. You didn't even bother updating your front desk staff on what you'd done. You "disposed of" my personal property, which was in the unit I had the right to access until the 21st. 5. The fact that you are full of defenses for your reprehensible, unethical, and unsound business practices assures that I will be telling anyone I ever speak with who is looking for storage about my experience here. I'll also be telling people that you essentially pay for reviews. I won't write a BS review just because you give discounts. But many people will, and hence the rating for SPS is artificially high. read more

The facilities are wonderful. Very clean, modern, well maintained, and secure. Even though I'm in a different country, I feel that my belongings will be safe there. There are gates, key codes, cameras, alarms, the works. I have a climate controlled unit, so it's indoors. Also, there are carts to help you move boxes throughout the building. They even sell specialty boxes and locks in the main office. It's very convenient. I did have issues with the girl at the front counter, though. I did a move over 2 days, and I realized I needed a bigger storage unit to accommodate my things. The switch became a huge struggle with the worker because I was originally offered a discount. It took over an hour of arguing over basic math before she called the owners/managers to work it out. To make a long story short, it made a very stressful move more stressful and time consuming. However, the facility is wonderful, and in the end everything was worked out. I would recommend Frederick Security Public Storage, just make sure you know what size unit you need and bring a calculator. read more

The gentleman with the long blonde hair was very thorough and precise with everything I needed. Very friendly to myself and my son. I would rent from here again.
