Work was super fast, excellent price, looks good, and I can tell that it is a fix that will hold up for many years. We had another secondary "nuissance" issue with a gate that was sticking that we brought up as an afterthought - they jumped right in and fixed it on the spot, rolling it in to the same job! They pointed out one other issue that may need repair in the next year (a failing hinge), but said that it was fine for now, did not put pressure on fixing - just said to call when ready to get it repaired. I rarely take the time to past reviews, but I had to in this case - I can't speak highly enough of this group! Thank you again guys!

They did great work on all four jobs and I couldn't be happier. They were a breeze to communicate with - super friendly and easy to schedule. Best of all they do meticulous work with a high degree of craftsmanship - you can tell they love ironwork and they shared many points of interest about the historic iron on my property. These guys are artisans and it shows in their work. The best in the borough for sure - I can't recommend them highly enough.

They serviced for us a chain link automation gate that was only working half of the time. We did try to use other contractors before them. We got answers like you need a new motor to you need a new gate. NYC iron works and welding were able to put their finger on the problem, and instead of spending couple thousands, we only paid $300 plus tax for the repair (one of the contractors was burned). I'm happy to review their services, and I can tell you now they will be my first call when I whenever I will need iron works or welding services.

I had a quite negative experience with Gasper, the owner of this company, when they were working on…read moreour street during alternate side parking. While I was parked opposite an empty spot, the owner arrived but could not fit his truck into it so placed cones to prevent me from moving my vehicle back. Then, when I tried to repark, he addressed me dismissively about how "the spot doesn't belong to you" -- despite coning it off for himself -- while another man forced his truck into the middle of the (very long) spot. This ironic part of this was that there was enough space for both our vehicles, so the rudeness and assertion of dominance was completely unnecessary. What's perhaps worse than just the parking disagreement is that after posting this note, the owner found my phone number on the internet and sent a variety of text messages calling me names and other ad hominem attacks. This was also totally unnecessary. I cannot recommend working with this business because in case there's a disagreement of some sort, interacting with the owner could become genuinely frightening.

We had the pleasure of working with Gasper Nogara on our historic 1850 Greek Revival brownstone in…read moreJersey City & we couldn't be more thrilled with the results. T he project involved the installation of custom cast iron railings & a side fence, and the team at Piscopo Iron Works exceeded every expectation. From our initial consultation, it was clear that Gasper had a deep understanding of local Landmarks regulations and, more importantly, a genuine respect for preserving the historic integrity of our home. He thoughtfully guided us through design options that would complement the existing architecture while meeting modern safety standards. Every curve, scroll & detail was meticulously crafted, even the boot scrapers, all inspired by a 1938 photograph of the original ironwork that had been removed sometime in the 1960s. Bringing that history back to life was incredibly meaningful to us. The craftsmanship is exceptional. The ironwork is not only visually striking but also solid, substantial & beautifully constructed. It has dramatically enhanced the curb appeal of our brownstone, restoring a sense of period authenticity while elevating the overall presence of the home & the block. Neighbors & visitors consistently compliment how the new railings & fence have transformed the façade, adding both elegance & distinction. Throughout the entire process, Gasper communicated clearly & demonstrated professionalism at every stage. He welcomed us to visit his workshop to better understand the fabrication process & meet his team, which gave us even greater confidence in the work being done. The installation crew was punctual, respectful of our property & once the project was scheduled, the installation was completed on time. Gasper's commitment to quality & customer satisfaction was evident from start to finish. We've included photos documenting the full journey from before & after views, to workshop visits & final installation, along with some of the special details we particularly appreciated, such as the custom boot scrapers & the back plate for the flagpole holder. We are incredibly satisfied with the final result & highly recommend Piscopo Iron Works, especially for historic properties. Their expertise, craftsmanship & dedication to honoring architectural heritage are truly exceptional.
