It was off about 30 miles, not to my advantage. I did'nt catch it until I left the storage unit. I called as soon as I caught it on Saturday morning. I was told to take a picture of the speedometer and it will be corrected on Monday morning. When I called Monday morning to let the staff know, who was Tory, I was a little upset, but I did not cuss or raise my voice. She decided that I was an irate customer and she was not going to let me get in her space and she would not talk to me any further. She was explaining to me the policy about checking the truck out before I left to see if it was OK. I really did not have time to do that in the parking lot before I left. I told her I had calmed down, however, she still refused to talk to me and hung up on me. I called back and she let it go to another location, I have been at this facility for 12 years renting trucks and storage space, I have never had any trouble. Good Customer service is rare. At this point I am trying to find the regional or area manager to make a complaint. They did correct the problem, but there was no reason for her to hang up on me.

I vacated today and there was mouse poop on my storage containers but again, that happens in all outdoor-access storage units. Moved to a unit closer to home, was going to go with Public Storage but their customer service is awful and they are very unprofessional and unorganized so I went to another Extra Space location in Lincoln Park, MI, and rented there. She is very friendly, professional, accommodating and she makes this place an overall stellar mini storage facility. They sell packaging supplies like boxes and tape, locks for your unit and Uhaul rental vans/boxtrucks are available for rent. There is a coded gate for entry and Teri lives on the premises which adds an additional sense of security.

I had to push my car south on telegraph and that was the first drive I came too, it was 88 degrees and I couldn't push anymore, so to get it off the main road I pushed it just inside their driveway. (I drive a tiny Toyota) The woman, whom I believe lived/owned this storage place, walked over to me and VERY RUDELY wanted to know just how long I'd be there, not oh I'm sorry is there anything I can do to help, just when will you move I have people with RV's that need to get out. It was just very sad to me that she had no empathy or care other than how much of a burden my car was. I was rudely asked if AAA was on the way. At that point they weren't but I did call and they said it could be up to an hour and a half. Luckily they came quick and ingot out of her precious driveway. I hope she doesn't run her business the same way because she was very rude and uncaring of another human being who clearly was having a rough moment. What goes around comes around.
