Once we opened up the boxes, we found that mice had gotten into all my boxes through the handles on the side despite my efforts to tape the boxes. The mice chewed up tons of blankets, urinated, and left droppings and nests in my boxes. A huge pile of cigarettes were left in front of the door of our unit. We had to sanitize most of our items that had been stored here. For almost $300/mo. I am extremely disappointed. I will never use them again. I would not recommend them.

A week later the pandemic hits, I get furloughed form work like navy other and am financially struggling. This company delighted in assessing Kate fees to my account for attempting to pay my bill one day past the grace period. They refused to remove the fee even though I'm a new tenant, not working and there's an international pandemic going on. They are money hungry, unprofessional and nit compassionate toward consumers as a whole. You can never get anyone on the phone at the location and if you ask to speak with a manager they tell you they're all managers and there's no resolve. The manager APRIL is the most disgusting excise for a "service" employee you can concoct. She could care less about being of assistance to the consumers. PLEASE RENT ELSEWHERE.

I paid for insurance the entire time I rented from Extra Space. When I filed my claim, I noticed the only thing the insurance cover is if the Storage Unit caught fire! So 4000.00 worth of furniture gone. They never notified me about the leak in my unit prior to move out day. I'm really hurt by this because I've done business with them in the past (Mt. Mariah location) and never had a problem. On their website it states Extra Spcae cover flooding and water damage, which is very misleading and unfair business practice. But in the contract you sign it states that water damage is not covered in your insurance policy. My furniture molded because of water damage, which makes them liable. I will not drop this and will be taking legal action.

However, any damage to the walls was promptly repaired, which I really appreciated. The owner/manager also made sure that my adjustable bed was taken down and moved to the upstairs bedroom the following workday. I had mentioned during booking that the master bedroom furniture was extremely heavy and that I had a king-size adjustable base that was located upstairs , and there was some trouble with the furniture being moved. Overall, the service was good and responsive, though I do wish the missing item and furniture damage had been avoided.
