I've been taking my 7-year old daughter to inspired by Zoe for a few months now, and she loves it…read more!. Every month, different crafts are held that outlines the little artist within. I continue to support small businesses, and even more so that it is in my neighborhood. Definitely great for children..

what a disaster!! if i could post without giving a star i would. the owner assata rodriguez should…read morerename her business inspired by pinocchio!! bait and switch is her last name. she talks and talks and does not allow you speak. that should have been my warning flag!! she misrepresents herself in the worst possible way, she tells you one thing and event day she states something else totally. she never appeared for my event because she knew she lied to get my buisness and it would have gone badly. i requested the spa-tacular service which i was told includes manicure and pedicure, signature drink(which i did not receive, my party was served tropicana apple harvest punch 64 oz that you can buy for $2.00 at your local bodega.) cups to bring home, ice cream sundae bar with toppings, one slice of pizza and juice per child and a craft(. dont get excited, it was two spoons of breyers ice cream. )and i paid $45 for painting. a week prior she explains if i pick the spatacular service (blinged out decor) i would have to pay $80 extra for the ice cream bar, vs. ice cream theme (just the table is decorated and a happy birthday banner was hung, bare bones decor) with ice cream bar included. i switched my theme after paying my deposit and her knowing my back is against the wall with the event a week away. i patronized her establishment prior to holding the party , liked what i saw, complimented her, being a young black female entrepreneur, we spoke at length, i wanted 15 girls, she offered me a deal verbally, stating if i bought the canvas painting she would allow for the 15 girls. i paid $212 deposit via paypal, including canvas painting. after reading & sending the contract (which states only 10 additional guests allowed , i will include a copy here), she kept changing her policy. my sister spoke with her , i spoke with her and she stated several times 8 girls minimum and up to 12 girls max and any children over that i would have to pay $35 per child to receive spa services. i had 12 kids, within the limit. her contract does not state a minimum nor a max, this is the bait and switch, at the party (which she did not attend due to personal reasons she claims , one of her staff told me she was on vacation) she tells me 8 girls is the maximum and i'll have to pay for the additional kids, whatt!!! after assuring me that 8 was the minimum and the max is 12 kids crazy!! the package is $549, i paid $212, deposit and then event day she claims my balance is $487. she also does not accept final payment via paypal, she wants cash and she charges tax. she did not communicate with her staff about what was owed, her assistant initially stated $539 and they wanted tips, oh hell no!!! lets talk service: bait and switch on pricing and theme talking to me as if im some hood rat, like im not paying for her services, extremely unprofessional: "oh no mama, i gets money, i make money". its people like you i can't deal with" no signature drink ( staff was not told to make a signature drink & which i did not receive, my party was served tropicana apple harvest punch 64 oz that you can buy for $2.00 at your local bodega.) , no cups to take home ( as was originally discussed) , staff had their baby on the premises, at one point my older daughter was babysitting the staff member's child, and she could not do her job because she's tending to her child. staff disrupted the painting before every child was finished. i had to ask the staff for chairs, they expected my adult guests to stand for 3 hours??? staff began to fold tables and chairs as my child was singing happy birthday!!!! wtf!!! my guests were basically being tod get the hell out!! i don't do reviews but her deception and treatment of me was so callous, i had to let others know before using her for a party. ask her how many girls maximum for spa parties and ask her does price of the package cover the max amount of girls. i have no doubt she'll be playing pinocchio with you. get it in writing before you pay her a dime. read her "contract" below.

Updated Review Fall 2021…read more I graduated yall lol. my first review of this school is still accurate. I stand by my opinion that all of CUNY is poorly run, but thats to be expected of a public university system ran by a city that has had a corruption issue since before most of us were born. Look at how MTA is run, LIRR, the homelessness and housing issues. Anyway, to get back on topic.. I had a degree when I came here, I wanted to do a 2nd Bachelor for premed/prehealth. They screwed me over on not communicating to ALL premeds that there is an immersive program to help you get into grad schools, medical, dental etc. You have to enter before Junior year. I missed out due to a poor advisor. The best prehealth advisor is Richard Calder. The best Science Professors are Jimoh, Kamal, Sing Liao, Shaban, Dr. Smalls, Mozzafer Hassan, Okezue, Proff Li (the male for Genetics), Prof Li (the woman for Neuroscience and she knows the prehealth program I was referring to), for Math: Ajeet Gary, Physics: Colley Baldwin and Prof Williams. Org Chem RIchard Denton or Prof Rajapaske. The nursing program is a joke but they claim theyre challenging, its hard because they make it hard and arent really trying to make sure youre supported and succeed. There is also some bias for ppl from certain islands. DO with that what you will. I know from real sources of ppl who graduated. The Nursing programs and other specialized health programs at CUNY are run poorly and by ppl who are NOT teachers, they are better off in the field not teaching curriculum at ALL. The only thing that makes it worth your stress is that the cost is so low comparatively to other schools in the region where you will experience some of the same problems because education in NYC as a whole is poorer quality than a school outside this tristate area. If you can go Out of State I would advise you too. Even upstate to Buffalo SUNY- Buffalo is better than here.

DO NOT - I REPEAT DO NOT - ENROLL IN THE NURSING PROGRAM AT MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE…read more Less than 30-40% of students actually graduate. There is little to no real teaching, you are expected to teach yourself everything using ATI modules. When you fail and ask for help or a review, they just tell you to "read more and there is no time to review." You can read everything front to back, and the exams still feel designed in a way that makes them almost impossible to pass - with correct choices being marked as incorrect choice (despite having proof that that is what the book says). It is almost as if the exams are rigged. Even many outside adjunct professors have said it feels like students are set up to fail, possibly so the school can keep charging tuition, especially since many of the nursing credits don't transfer elsewhere. The get to simply re-bill the same people for an education that they already paid for and did not receive. They do not take accountability. When 62 out of 65 students FAIL, they blame the students instead of addressing poor teaching AND the fact that they do not provide CLINICAL EXPERIENCE. The same instructors can have failure rates of 90%+ semester after semester, and nothing changes. You are essentially paying for an education that you are not receiving. Clinical experience, which is required, is limited or nonexistent, yet they still charge full tuition. On top of that, the environment is very discouraging. Staff often speak to students in a condescending, demeaning and disrespectful way, like you are a child. Most nursing students are there because they genuinely want to help people, but that passion is not supported here. Instead, it feels like constant stress, hazing and intimidation. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Go to a program where students are actually supported, where the graduation rate is high, and where people 90% of students pass the NCLEX. Out of a class of over 60 students, many of whom are repeating the semester, only about 2-3 are currently passing HALF of their classes. That should tell you everything. I'm sharing this to genuinely warn future students. If you're serious about becoming a nurse, choose a different program.

My friend had mentioned wanting to try painting pottery, so when we randomly walked by The Painted…read morePot, I made a mental note to check out their pricing. For the experience, I think the pricing is very fair. When you make a reservation, the person who makes it puts down $10. I thought that was the table fee, but that just got deducted from my piece. Thus, you only pay for what you make! Yes, I agree that $25 for a small plate is high, but for something that you are painting yourself with a variety of paints and supplies available to you, I think that's justified. The staff at The Painted Pot was extremely welcoming and friendly. They answered all questions and explained everything clearly. A different set of staff members helped me out at pickup (5 days later) and they were equally enthusiastic. My friend and I booked a reservation for 12:30-2. In the beginning, it was peaceful, but toward the end, there were many kids. If you want a zen experience, definitely book earlier on a weekday. The space is small, so it also can get cramped. If you are doing anything elaborate, 1.5 hours will probably not be enough for you to do 3 coats of paint, so you will probably need to book for a longer period of time. Overall, I highly recommend this experience to try out! If I ever have anything I want to paint or another friend who wanted to try, I would definitely go back.

I love this place. It's a great Way to spend a couple of hours. They are super strict about Covid…read morerules. Mask must be worn at all times. You should make a time reservation online. There's so many selections. I love coming back here since my daughter was very young. Apparently this location is the only location that survived COVID. I selected to do a yarn bowl. I have done list of the items. As my daughter says, we are Painted Pot veterans! Can't wait to see in 7 days my master pc.
