If you are considering pottery, you have to learn here!!! I took 3 student sessions in a row, only stopping because I am moving states. I found a home and family in Brooklyn People's Pottery during 2020-2021. The studio is always a source of inspiration, fostered on kindness and mutual respect. Alice, the studio owner, goes above and beyond for everyone in the space. She gets to know everyone individually and takes personal interest in the pieces we all make. She is always making sure we are as safe as possible with every COVID protocol, even installing special UV lighting to fight any potential threats. Every instructor I've had in class has been extremely intelligent, even down to the exact science as to why pottery behaves the way it does during the entire process. Things like special tools, clays, glazes, brushes are always available to students so you can try new and fun techniques. I couldn't have had a better experience. Such a beautiful light during such a hard year. read more
