My kids were doing a bit of shopping and then ended up picking up a couple of items and I spent most of my time chatting with the one woman who worked there. They did enjoy some of the clothing but couldn't find items that they liked in their size but there were some really nice items in the counter that got their attention. They both checked out some really cool necklaces and we also looked at flasks and lighters. My youngest found a hat that they just loved and took a picture of the label on it with the idea that they would check it out online at a later date to see if they might buy one. Friendly employees who were very helpful and lots of good stuff. This one is definitely worth shopping in.

Located on Walnut off Broadway, it's a small shop that offers women's and men's clothing. There's a mix of eras under one roof and I noticed they have a good selection of men's clothing, which sometimes is a struggle for the guys who like vintage. When I went this time, there was a smaller selection of women's clothing, but most of the pieces seemed to be in fair condition. Spotted a vintage Dior jacket, but decided to not grab it. I'd guess that most of the clothing at the time that I went was from the 1970s-now. Mostly I saw tops, tees, and jackets, along with vintage denim. Parking options include street parking and parking lots where you pay by the hour. I went with the latter as it was more cost effective when I compiled my list of shops to visit in the same area. I recommend going that route because most of the shops are on the main streets and it's easy to reach them by walking.

You can either park on the street or park in one of the structures or lots nearby. We parked in the structure across the street and walked to all of the shops in the area. The shop is well-curated with unique pieces from a variety of eras and different styles. Everything is arranged by color and item type on the racks. The tags try to include the era for the piece, any damage present, and the price. There was a long pleated tartan skirt with a contrast color tartan on the inside of the pleats that I tried on for laughs. It was beautifully made, but the length was not for me and the price was a little high for my liking. Still, it was fun trying it on and seeing the other items available in the shop. There are a few men's items up front, but it mostly sells women's vintage clothing and accessories. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I'd consider stopping by again to see what was new.

I went in there specifically for some snacks, but walked out with clothes, food, syrup, honey, and much more. There is minimal risk of infection at Asheville's most wonderful boutique! They are all masked up and make sure that their patrons are as well. They limit the number of people allowed in the shop, they steam clean any clothes that have been tried on and they disinfect the store between shoppers. Had a bad experience at Hipster Replacements. Waited outside for for like 10 minutes for our turn…read moreto go in because it was one in/one out for covid. Finally someone left and we were anxious to go in to check out the merch, but The hipster shop keeper came out and said, "sorry folks, we gotta steam the clothing to disinfect". Whatever that means. He knew were weren't locals and didn't like us. End of story. We won't be going back.
