When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. My review: We hired…read morea local company to clean our tile floor and they damaged the surface (acrylic) finish and could not fix. We search and we found Arizona Tile & Stone Specialist on line. After reading the 4.8 star reviews, we called to get a quote. Mike Green General Manager came out and educated us on the flooring we had in our home and told us about Arizona tile & Stone Specialist. We did get 4 quotes then decided to hire Mike & his team. Hector & Tyler were sent out, well dressed and very polite & on time. Job was to strip, hone, & polish out limestone. After the chemical was used to stripe the acrylic finish off the limestone, they started to hone the floor. The final process was to add a sealer. After we noticed that the chemical was absorbed so bad into the limestone floor that it changed the color. Hector & Tyler worked very hard all day to get our floors done in one day. The next day we contacted Mike Green General Manager to have him inspect the job on what the chemical did to the limestone. This is the reason why we hired Arizona Time & Stone specialist, Mike right away knew this was not acceptable to him and to us. First thing he said: "Not to worry Tim we are insured and bonded. We'll make this right". That made us so grateful that we hire an 5 star company!! That evening Mike talked to the owners, called us even after hours and reassured us that the floor will be replaced asap. I could not be more proud of a local company that stands upright to do the right thing no matter what. We already are scheduled to get the floors replaced next week. Things happen when contractors do work, people have to understand this but when you hire reputable first class companies then the job will be completed 100% to their standards and the customer satisfaction.
