I have nothing but good things to say about Desert Rose. They were easy to deal with from start to finish (I initially spoke with Rose), and Chris and his partner did an outstanding job on our door. Our door was in bad shape, as the folks that owned the house before us clearly had not kept it up. Today, it looks like a brand new door, and compliments the upgrades we have done on our home over the last year. I highly recommend this company, and I have already spoken with friends and family about using them for their projects. read more

A bit pushy on the sales end to get you scheduled, but if you can deal with that and tell them your not ready yet and you will call them, I highly recommend Desert Rose Door Refinishing to revitalize your wood front door into a focal point for your house. One notable thing was no money upfront until service is completed is testimony to their confidence of the quality of their services. Professional, curtious, and very conscientious to the quality and finished look of your door, Henry, Codi, and Dusty, all three very young, were a pleasure to work with. They were very accommodation while working on the door with allowed me not only to change door hardware, but paint the inside threshold of my door frame before reinstalling the door. Henry even took a ride with me so I could show him the look of the stain present on another door down the street for matching and then called me out with each layer of stain they applied to determine if that was what I wanted or darker. They have the process down well. And the work didn't end with just rehanging the door. They took the time to make final adjustments for the reveals, threshold clearances, and replacing the weather stripping. Its a complete job. Thank you Henry, Codi, and Dusty. At my next neighborhood party, Desert Rose Business cards will be on my table next to the door for others. I will definitely use them again in the future for my 4' x 8' solid oak door. read more

The Desert Rose Doors team did a great job on my doors despite a challenging history the doors apparently had experienced prior to the restoration. They tackled sun damage and lots of old paint from past owners and ultimately restored the doors and frame beautifully. All the while, being very professional and courteous. We recently had Desert Rose work on two stained wood exterior doors that were very dried out and bleached by the sun exposure. They were responsive, knowledgeable, hard working and very good at their craft! Our doors look SO much better, and they will come back each year to maintain as needed. They also used the stain to refresh our bleached out front porch bench. Great job and really nice guys. read more

Desert Rose Door Refinishing - Beautiful door again after Desert Rose did their magic!! - Refinishing Services Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

Excellent in a word. Our 21-year old front Oak door had some small vertical cracks in its panels and the blonde stain was fading from weather. My neighbors highly recommend Desert Rose and after reading their 5-Star reviews. We hired them. From my email, to a follow-up email and phone call, their services were professional from beginning to the end. They set up outside under a tent, removed our front door and taped up clear plastic over the opening. The sawdust from sanding the door was used to make the repairs. They brought us outside several times to be sure we were satisfied as we elected to change colors from light to dark. They customed matched my wife's selections, attached our new hardware and reinstalled it with new weatherstripping. Beautiful. Great job guys!! read more

The team of Justin, Jeff and Brad did an absolutely amazing job of refinishing our front door. The previous owner had attempted to make repairs to the damaged door and it looked like it was beyond repair. The team were on time, professional, kept us informed every step of the way and cleaned up after themselves. They were extremely pleasant young men and superior craftsmen!! Perhaps the best service and results that I have ever received from a vendor. read more

we recently purchased a home built in 1989 that had a front entry door in very bad condition. The door appeared to be sound but definitely needed considerable work. I contacted Desert Rose and discussed our situation with their representative. Don, one of the owners, came to our home and inspected the door. He reviewed with us what he felt that his firm could accomplish with our door. We scheduled to have our door refinished. A crew from Desert Rose, consisting of seven, arrived at her home at 7 AM on the scheduled date and begin the process. By 5 PM our door looked spectacular. During the process, they reviewed with us several different stains and allowed us to select the one that we preferred. I can recommend this company, without any reservations whatsoever, to refinish wood doors. They are outstanding in all aspects. Rich read more

We were just about to give up on our existing front door. It was weathered. I had refinished it a couple times. We were embarrassed of it. We went out looking for a replacement door & the quality door products are pricey! We planned to purchase a new door so I contacted my next door neighbor to ask him where he had purchased his. We really liked its appearance & wanted to get one like it. He replied, "That's my old door refinished." Wow, I was stunned for I had been certain he had a brand new door. So I asked him who did the work & he said, "Desert Rose Door Refinishing." Well, we got on their list to get our door refinished & we are SO HAPPY with the result!!!! Looks new again after 28 years. And they offer a maintenance program to keep it looking great. Couldn't be more thrilled with how the door look read more

Accessed Yelp in search of a company that could refinish my front door. Located Desert Rose Door Refinishing and they were quick to respond to my request. Their crew did a phenomenal job from start to finish. The cost was very reasonable and the door looks great. See for yourself before and after photos posted. read more

Very pleased with how this company does business and the end result was excellent. Our intricately carved front door was at least 30 years old and in dire need of repair and refinishing. Called Desert Rose on the recommendation of a neighbor. From first contact to completing the job, they under-promised and over-delivered. They had several appointments available and walked me through all of my options, answering any and all questions along the way. They showed up on time and completed the work as agreed before the day was over. They didn't charge a penny over the original estimate. Excellent results and well worth the money. I highly recommend Desert Rose Door Refinishing! read more

We had Desert Rose Doors refinish our front doors back in April. (I'm a little slow to post the review.) I can't say enough good things about this company. I had called a couple of other places...either didn't call me back or didn't sound like they knew what they were doing. Desert Rose Doors was responsive, went over every detail of the quote, and are clearly door experts. Had to wait a month to get them but it was worth it. The team that came out arrived on time, set up out front, had everything they did down to a science, and the result was absolutely beautifully restored front doors that look better than new. I won't use anyone else. Thank you! read more

So pleased with the work by the team at Desert Rose to sand our wood garage doors and retain them in a beautiful rich brown tone. We had previously been told by another company that the doors (which had a stain color that did not go well with the house) could not be sanded because of the dark color. Desert Rose was able to sand off the old stain and the doors now look great! I smile whenever I pull into my drive. read more

About 5 years ago a gentleman named Bill Lamb refinished our front door and did a fabulous job. Bill is a great guy and I really enjoyed working with him, so I recently tried to find him to repeat his magic. I found him working with Desert Rose Door Refinishing, a business I hadn't heard of. Although a bit unsure of the new arrangement, I engaged the new owners to refinish my south-facing, sun damaged front door. The work was completed earlier this month, and Desert Rose did a masterful job. Like so many of the folks that have completed Yelp reports for this company, I am well satisfied with the work that was performed. The combination of personal engagement and technical competence is a rare commodity these days, and Desert Rose Door Refinishing is a stand-out. My compliments to their team. read more

We just had our heavy carved oak door and sidelights refinished by Desert Rose Door Refinishing and I could not be more pleased. The door is gorgeous, but it was originally that honey oak color that just screams "1980's!" The new finish is a matte dark walnut, which coordinates beautifully with our dark alder interior doors. Josh and the team were amazing and top notch professionals. The work took two days, since we had both the interior and exterior done, and the crew was meticulously neat. Our door looks so elegant now. I'm so glad we had this work done! I can definitely recommend this company, which I found to be very honest and straightforward with their estimate. The crew showed up right on time, were friendly and gave a great explanation of how the work would be done, and cleaned up everything when they left. Five stars for this company! read more

Josh and his crew showed up at 7:30 AM. Josh went over everything while his crew was putting down protective coverings and building their work station. I let them do their work and I stayed out of their way. They took my double 8' doors off their hinges and brought then to their work station. They put plastic over the door opening, so bugs would not fly in & air conditioning would no go out. They chemically stripped off all the old urethane and stain. They got to bare wood and began to sand, patch and repair. What they do is very labor intensive besides having the right knowledge and tools. Josh kept everyone working, while he was working. They were like a drill team, each doing their own job. I had to wait 5 weeks in order to get them, but the time went by and the results were worth the wait. I could not have done what they did and I am mechanically minded. They were not cheap, but worth it. They asked for no money up front, just a payment in full when the job was done. That's such a nice way to treat a customer. I would highly recommend Desert Rose Door Refinshing. read more

We desperately needed our front door refinished. It was in horrible condition. After reading reviews on Yelp and Angie's List, I called Desert Rose. After a visit from Bill, he took pictures back and, three days later I had a quote (not an estimate). I accepted the quote and scheduled the service. It took a while to find a vacant spot in their schedule. When they arrived, they immediately took the door off and worked in the parking lot of our condo. During the process, we were given updates and got the ability to pick the color, the depth of color and the type of finish. Three hours later, the door was done and rehung. I cannot begin to describe how happy we are with our (re)finished product. In truth, our door was a piece of crap. It is now something our neighbors are already complimenting. In fact, one of them took a Desert Rose business card and will be using them. Great company to work with. Great workmanship. Fair price. read more

I was a bit hesitant after the one Yelper mentioned the doors didn't come out so great, but I called anyway. SO glad I did! It took a bit to schedule, but Rose was wonderful. They're busy and I could only be home to be the with dog certain days, but we scheduled a month out and it worked out fine. The price was reasonable compared to other companies and I received a receipt upon completion. Josh and crew were amazing! They actually arrived 10 mins early, which was a first for any company we had come out - so nice! We had 5 wood doors refinished on the exterior. I should have taken a picture beforehand - they were splitting at the bottom, white with oxidation, and just not in a good place. 6 people came out, set up a tent and saw horses and did all 5 doors in 8 hours. Since the originals were satin finish, they did put a polyurethane on them to match. They really look nice and match the originals, which is important. Would definitely recommend Desert Rose Door - hard workers and they know what they're doing. We've even asked if they could give us a quote for another project. read more
