Terrific staining a new sliding patio door we installed. On time, on budget, superior quality, and a generally nice man. I'll use Gerardo again and highly recommend you do to. You won't be disappointed. read more

So disappointed to be updating. The finish started coming off of a few of the doors and that were refinished that have a 2-year guarantee. I reached out to Gerardo on September 9 to ask to have them repaired per the guarantee and sent pictures. Two days later I still had not gotten a response, so I sent another text. Still nothing until I texted again on September 15 and was told their schedule was super busy and he could get me on his schedule the third week in October. He did not provide a date, so I reached out again on September 18 and 29 to confirm the date. He said he had me on the schedule for the week of October 19. It is now the 21st and I have not received any communication from him. I appreciate busy schedules, but I do not appreciate poor response/communication. Will I get the service promised in a timely manner...to be determined. read more

We needed someone reliable to refinish our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I contacted Jimenez based off of raving reviews on Yelp. Gerardo took our drawers and cabinet doors to his shop and then came to finish the boxes a week later. He also added some crown moulding- which took our cabinets to the next level! The project turned out amazing! So happy with the work Gerardo and his family did. Would highly recommend! read more

We are preparing our home for sale and Jimenez refinishing team came twice to our North Scottsdale home for touch ups. They fixed flaking window sills, scratched doors, exterior scratched doors , and exterior furniture. He made everything look new again!!! It's hard to find someone to do this kind of work and he did a fantastic job! His pricing was fair too. He even mixed up a special touch up kit for my outdoor Tommy Bahama furniture to keep it looking new. I definitely would recommend their services! read more

I was impressed with the rapid response when I asked for a bid. Visited my home asap to review cabinets to be redone. Price was very reasonable for us. Work was done in short period of time from removing cabinet drawer to replacement and finishing the entire face of all woodwork. Have to say we used this cabinet woodwork for 27yrs, Jimenez Refinishing made everything look new and beautiful. So impressed we will have them back to do our kitchen area. Like to add these are wonderful personable people that do the work. read more

High quality work for a very affordable price. Had my kitchen cabinets repainted. They were able to match the color, texture, and flat finish perfectly on my other cabinet that I had built separately. Turnaround time was great. Very professional. Would highly recommend. read more

I'd like to update this review with our latest experience with Jiménez refinishing LLC. I bought a used table and chair set that needed the chairs tightened up and then I wanted them to refinish it to match the rest of the wood he'd previously done in my home. He came by to give me a quote on Saturday June 14th. He told me not a problem. I specified areas on the table and chairs that I wanted extra attention paid to and he acknowledged said his guys would take care of it, no problem. At that point we agreed to match the remainder of the wood in the house, base boards all the interior doors and door frames front and rear doors too. He told me everything would take one week. I made a deposit got on the schedule. We were scheduled to start Monday June 30. He messaged me on June 17th asking to start now on July 7th. We loved the work he'd done before so we agreed that a week wasn't that much of an inconvenience. I confirmed with Gerardo on July 5th that he was still starting this project on July 7th. The morning of July 7th I asked him what time he planned to arrive, to which he responded "Hey man can I pick it up tomorrow morning instead?" I know things come up in a business, I helped my father run a business when I was younger but it's very unprofessional to ask day of, after the customer is ALREADY reaching out, to move start date with no explanation. He came by Tuesday July 8th took the table and chairs. Then that week also came and took ALL the doors in the house. I texted him on July 23 to confirm his arrival and he told me he would have to bring the table and chairs Friday or Saturday. We had plans to be out of town so I told him Monday the 28th is best. He had my table and chairs from Tuesday July 8 until Monday July 28 when he only brought 4 chairs and told me 2 were still wobbly. So he had my table and chairs for an extra 5 days on top of the 1.5 weeks he was already behind And frankly I'm extremely unhappy with the results. He came in put the table down then continued to work on it adding a clear coat. You told me I was gonna have it almost a week ago and now you've had it 2 extra weeks why isn't it done? But now the 2 leafs that he had brought the prior to the rest of the table do not match the same finish. He never explained why the table and chairs were taking so long. There was missing dowel rods in the chairs when I gave them to him. We specifically asked that the shape and taper be matched to the rest of the chairs in the set. He told me not a problem. These were the 2 chairs that were still wobbly upon partial delivery and we had to wait another day for....So instead of doing the agreed work they just installed bigger dowel rods. The holes weren't even cleaned up and had splinters. The dowels aren't even completely stained and aren't even sanded down really for that matter. Throughout this whole project we have been very accommodating to when he could come with his other projects. He came in and took all the doors to his shop. He got some baseboards done and a couple door frames done in the first week. He then asked if he could get half of the remaining balance, " to pay his guys". I agreed because out of good faith. We had only ever seen him and one other worker during the 3.5 weeks the project ended up taking and is still not really finished. And even paid him the rest at the end of week 2, I agreed and now know I shouldn't have, because when he asked and I'd assumed the table and chairs were around the corner.. but those would still take 1.5 weeks after he was fully paid to be delivered and honestly just not done well. The pieces seem as if nothing was sanded or stripped, the "new stain" has chips already, Missing spots. I started to look around the house a bit deeper since the chairs had been done at such a low standard. And I found so many areas that need touch ups that again don't look as if any prep was done before applying new finish. Extremely disappointed in the way Gerardo handled our business. I have voiced all these concerns with him and he only told me you're right and we had been great customers. And if that's the case why did we get the treatment we did? The table and chairs i refused to allow him to take back since to be honest i can't trust his word on when he will bring them back and if the work would be any good. He gave me a partial refund that we agreed to be fair, Needless to say we will likely not be using his services again. read more

We just had our kitchen table and chairs refinished by Jimenez Refinishing. They did an outstanding job. Everything was picked up at our house and redelivered in a week. Their work is excellent. Our table and chairs look brand new. read more

Gerardo and his team did an amazing job refinishing our kitchen and wet bar cabinets. I wanted a cabinet color that would pick up on the darkest espresso-colored veins in my granite countertop, and when my initial color spec proved to be way off, Gerardo worked with me to develop the perfect custom color. Gerardo worked with a carpenter to customize the cabinet moldings for an updated look. For a cohesive look in the kitchen, Gerardo also refinished our large wooden table to the same color as the cabinets. The results are just stunning! Gerardo is professional, easy to work with, and his team pays exquisite attention to detail. I highly recommend Jimenez Refinishing! I will most definitely call Gerardo for more work as we continue our renovations. read more

We found this company on Facebook and though I am usually pretty skeptical about hiring anyone from Facebook, Mr. Jimenez came over to give us a quote and was very thorough in his inspection of our kitchen cabinets, asking questions about exactly what we wanted the finished product to look like. He made an appointment for two weeks later to pick up all the cabinet doors and refinish them at his workshop and then a few days later to paint the cabinet frames. The price was very affordable and within our budget. He took a small deposit to hold the project start date. I asked him to please plug up one of the holes on all the doors since I was buying new door knobs that only required one hole and he was very accommodating. When the workmen showed up to paint the cabinet frames (ON TIME!!), they were very efficient and worked all day to make sure they would be able to finish the project without delay. They even asked if I had the knobs for the doors and they installed the door knobs for me. I was not expecting that and it was a very pleasant surprise. All in all, I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a contractor that does exactly what they say they are doing and go above and beyond expectations. Thank you Mr. Jimenez, I truly appreciate the new look you were able to create in my kitchen. The whole room looks bigger and brand new and we appreciate all the hard work to make it that way. These guys are amazing! They are responsive, fairly priced, and very high quality work. They even finished my project ahead of schedule!

We recently hired Gerardo and his crew to refinish our kitchen cabinets. Everything went as smooth as it possibly could. Gerardo was responsive, his price very reasonable, and he got the job done exactly when he promised. On day 1, he removed the cabinet doors and drawer facings and transferred them to his shop, where they were cleaned, sanded and painted. Day 2 his crew sealed off the kitchen and put paper everywhere that wasn't going to be painted. Day 3 they cleaned and sanded and painted the visible parts of the cabinet boxes. The next day they put everything back together. It looks like a brand new kitchen! We definitely recommend Gerardo's company! read more

He did an excellent job on staining my stair case. Looks better than before. Price is reasonable

This company refinished my kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Went from a stained finish to a lacquered paint finish. They did a beautiful and timely job. I had several estimates. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive. After reading reviews I chose them. They took good care protecting surfaces and did a good cleanup. Geraldo is easy to work with and his crew is very nice. You will never regret hiring this company. read more

I was blown away by the responsiveness, friendliness and quality of work they did on my kitchen cabinets. I would definitely hire them again or recommend. The owner was very quick to get a quote to me, the quote was very reasonable and they showed up when they said they would. He was very communicative at all times. My cabinets look amazing! I have wood and I had them stained a darker color. While it's a paint on stain, I can't believe how amazing they look! I'm so happy I didn't get new cabinets as that would have cost 10x's what I paid. read more
