It appears as a sports bar, and I was lucky to be there on a fine weekend day without any game. - I am not following any sports to watch on TV and like the place just filled with people's conversing voices. I love the outside architecture of Seawolf and how ornate it looks. After all, they say you eat with your eyes... so I guess I wanted to eat the outside? The interior has random decoration pieces scattered around. We made a reservation but didn't really need one since it was empty at Sunday noon. You can seat yourself, and the staff was nice and attentive. 3.5 stars overall! We started our brunch with a grapefruit mimosa carafe (thought this was $15 on the menu but our bill said ~$13). Great deal: between two people, the carafe resulted in around two mimosas each. It was refreshing, light, and sweet, but I didn't get much of a grapefruit flavor -- maybe a different flavor would have been stronger. They also offer bottomless mimosas on weekend brunch for $18 (on the lower side, would come back for that). There's an extensive beer menu and build-your-own bloody marys too, which is cool (still don't understand why people like them). FOOD: - Smoked Salmon Benedict ($15) I didn't like the hollandaise at all; it was oddly sweet, a weird flavor, and runny. The actual eggs were small but poached well; the rest of the benedict - the avocado, salmon, English muffin - was yummy. I like how the English muffin was seemingly thinner than a normal one and well-toasted for that perfect crunch. The side of potatoes were really delicious! They were salty, slightly sweet, and really crispy. - Shakshuka ($13) This was alright: a strong, concentrated tomato/pepper sauce that was a bit sweet for me. Very simple dish but a bit pricey for what you're getting. - Hash Browns ($4) Solid and crispy exterior, but the middle was a little mushier and could've used more salt. read more

Overall decent place with a good ambiance. Open bar spacing which is great for relaxing and drinking with friends. Visited on a late Sunday afternoon and ended up drinking and eating some of the items we saw on Yelp. BF tried the Korean chicken sandwich. Came out juicy and crunchy but the flavoring on the breading was bland and definitely needed the slaw and dressing to make it better. Not as phenomenal as what were had previously read. We also tried the tacos (chicken, pork and fish). Smaller tacos but that's all you really need. Perfect filling with an order of a few drinks. Not impressed with the flavor profile of the chicken tacos and will skip next time. However, we really enjoyed the pork taco and the fish taco. Would order these again! Beware: if ordering the fish taco, be sure to check for bones. Ended up catching bones twice during my one taco. BF works in industry and said it was poor prep by BOH staff and they should have caught them, especially the larger bone (see image). Service was a little slow for the amount of people in the bar. Sea wolf is the local watering hole my friends and I go to. You cannot beat the drinks and those chicken wings are delicious. I am all about customer service and the staff are friendly and accommodating to all needs and dietary requirements. The inside looks very much like a classic pub, with some high tables and stools by the bar and regular tables and booths off to the right. This place has apparently been on the Food Network (I think for their chicken wings?). I've never come here for brunch - only dinner and after work drinks. They have extensive beer offering but I think not much in the way of cocktails/wine. I've mostly had snacks/sides here. The brussel sprouts are very good. I honestly like Seawolf but man, their service needs some help. I've been for brunch a few times and to watch a few World Cup games. Each time the service has been subpar. We've ordered drinks and waited and waited...and waited. Had to ask where they were. Mind you, it's a couple of carafes for mimosas. :( I had to get my own water and refill it the last two time I was there. Also because no one even asked if I wanted to order anything to eat, I didn't. I was too frustrated to even bother ordering. I'm giving them three stars because the food is actually pretty solid. The mac-and-cheese balls are delish. Since it's located in Jack London Square, the parking can be difficult but that's not something to knock them for. Monica kept great situational awareness throughout the entire night and Her staff was amazingly attentive through it all : BIG shout to Tiffany - very calm and gracious under fire The Beet and Goat cheese salad is off the hook and the Korean Chicken sandwich -while having an Octopus-like texture was very satisfying. I came here for Sunday brunch with several friends to celebrate my birthday. Since I couldn't make reservations online for 8 people and thinking that it would probably be busy, because sports, I called when they opened to reserve a table. The guy that helped me didn't think I would need to make reservations, but was nice to reserve a table for me anyways. I am so glad I called because it was packed when I got there at noon! We got great service as we were waiting for everyone else to show up. $15 bottomless mimosas! And you can customize your Bloody Mary, which I did not partake in. Once everyone arrived and drinks were ordered, we placed our order for food and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. I got the Chilaquiles Verde, which were good. It would be nice if they made their own chips in-house or used thicker chips, but it was still very tasty. My only complaint is that my friend had ordered a side of bacon, which didn't arrive with his food. He did ask two different people about it, including the waitress, but he still didn't get it. We did get charged for it, but brought it to the waitress' attention and she happily took care of it. There are still remnants of the Warehouse, but I really like the Seawolf. We came here for brunch and it was awesome. Service was prompt and friendly. We ordered bottomless mimosas (at $15 that's a steal) and a bloody mary with all the fixins. Now, you might think "all the fixins" is a piece of celery and a pickled onion. Well, at Seawolf, "all the fixins" is pickled greens beans, beets, onions, a pickle spear, a slice of bacon, and an entire chicken wing. A big chicken wing, that was actually delicious. Impressive, to say the least. Then we ordered the verde chilaquiles, which were delicious and the pork hash (my husband didn't share any so I'll have to assume it was delicious.) The food all came out relatively quickly. We hung around for awhile after we finished our meals, talking and drinking, and at no point did we feel like we were being rushed to leave. I want to love this place - they have a good menu and vibe, and the staff are friendly. However every time I'm here, it takes forever to get a menu, order food, get food and get the check. It's not the waitstaffs' fault - they are clearly busy serving. It's evident it's a management issue: this business needs to employ more waitstaff or figure out an effective food service strategy, because their system right now isn't working. They're losing out on beverage sales because people are sick of waiting around for another drink. If they figure out a new approach or management changes hands, I will 100% be back. Came here for brunch prior to heading home after a concert at The Fox - we were not disappointed! The carnitas and fish tacos were excellent, as well as the smoked salmon scramble. Once you find a parking place, you are good to go at this spot! Pros: Delicious food, decently priced cocktails, not over-crowded for a Sunday morning Cons: "Bottomless" mimosas does not = bottomless. Maybe it's because we are from NV, where everything is usually at face value - but, it was $15 for "bottomless" which was actually 1 carafe. I had (because my wife offered to drive us home) 2.5 (short) carafes, which on our bill came to $26 + $7...instead of the $15 "bottomless" ... So, you have been warned :) Though, they did offer them in cranberry so I wouldn't have to have OJ, which helps their cause here LOL All in all, Seawolf is a great spot to enjoy a well-prepared and fair-priced brunch while visiting Oakland and we look forward to grubbin here again read more

It's good food and usually there is (not metered) street parking close by. They do bottomless mimosas on Saturdays and Sundays. I think this runs from 9:30-2 or 2:30, which is a good amount of time! Fries were those thin cut fries that are crispy on the outside but moist on the inside (not overcooked). Just like every Wednesday my friends and I ordered singles and double meet patties since they are half off on Wednesday. When we attempted to pay the waitress told us that the single patties are regular price, and double patties were half off. She then told me they've never done that, she even called her boss who told her they never done that, what???? We've been coming here for over two months every Wednesday and paid half off for burgers. She basically called me a liar In front of other customers @ the bar,how can they make you pay $10 for a regular cheeseburger and $8 for a double burger. My food was cold, soggy fries, I asked for no onions and Pickles and guess what? It had onions and pickles. No sauce and no "secrete sauce" they charged me more and didn't even get my order right. 1st time here and I enjoyed it. This place was packed this past Sunday football game day/afternoon - Raiders vs Patriots. My friend and I came after the game and craziness (if thats spelled correctly?). Thus, they were out of the mac and cheese balls but what can you expect? It was a busy day for them and they're sorta new. So I was amazed-balls after heading to Heinolds because I noticed the name of this business in the history sheet and I put the pieces together!!! Sooo effin' amazing. The businesses are like family and tied to the neighborhood like family. Idk how else to put it lol My friend had the cherry kush beer (the kush part made me think it was weed infused but whateva). I had a glass of the red zin. Man oh man the screens made me want to have a second glass of wine and along with the cozy-ness atmosphere this place gave me. Dim lighting, and I CANNOT FORGET, the bathroom smelled amazing. Yea go ahead laugh at me.. What keeps the bathroom smelling cozy? Whats the scent in there? I hella want to know. My friend got three fish tacos he said it was ok. We headed to Seawolf to kill some time before my flight out of Oakland. From previous reviews it said they have seven day a week happy hour. Disappointed to discover that this is not the case, and they serve only limited menu items between 2:30-5:30pm ... limited items include cocktails. The bar was understaffed with one waitress/bartender, despite a game being on. Good- cauliflower taco, mushroom taco and guac were subpar. Drinks had too much sugar and beer selection was terrible (plus they were out of two). I'm not a local, but I'm sure there are better places to spend ones money at. read more
