The bus was supposed to pick us up at Sea-Tac airport, take us to a Safeway so we could go shopping, and then drop us off at North Cascades National Park. There is a special area at the airport for buses which I was not familiar with, but Beeline provided very detailed instructions on what to do. Our bus showed up early which was really awesome because my group was ready to go early. Also, I'm pretty sure they upgraded us to a nicer bus. We had about 25 people and they sent a huge bus so we could really spread out and not have to fill every seat. Our bus had little screens (I think you could play a DVD or something), plenty of room for luggage underneath, and a little bathroom! When we stopped at Safeway, I talked to our driver a little bit while we waited for everyone to get back. He was a super cool guy and he knew all about the park we were going to. He was also a great driver which made the ride pleasant. At the end of our retreat, we also had a nice bus and a wonderful driver on the ride back to the airport. I highly recommend Beeline Tours!

On THREE separate occasions during three separate years, their charter buses have completely broken down on us in the middle of the long, annual 4+ hour drive from Seattle to eastern Washington, each time with 45+ high school students on board with us. We should have learned our lesson after the first two times, but budget limitations kept us coming back as they are definitely the cheapest charter bus service and we just kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. Well, not anymore. This last time the bus broke down, we were stranded on the side of the interstate for more than two hours. Was I surprised? NO, because as the chaperone of this particular trip, I noticed as soon as I boarded the charter bus at our pick up location that the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. I informed the driver and requested he call his manager to see if they could send another bus because I wasn't trying to deal with anything sus happening on this long, long overnight trip. However, the manager said that they wouldn't be sending a different bus and that it would be fine. Well, it was far from fine. After 2+ hours of waiting on the side of the road (the interior of the bus was extremely hot), everyone unloaded all the luggage and all of our supplies onto the new bus which took us to our destination only to find out that they had to transfer us to ANOTHER bus and go through the unloading and loading process again. Our itinerary for the trip was almost entirely ruined. Despite the circumstances we made the most of it, but then they had the audacity to say we needed to pay extra for the new driver!! And when I requested some sort of reimbursement for sending us off on a faulty bus despite me alerting them to the engine issue PRIOR TO LEAVING, they REFUSED and then ghosted us. They did not respond to ANY correspondence from my supervisor once I clearly had to get them involved. Terrible experience and really showed their true colors. Will go to extreme lengths to take your money, ask for more money, not repair their buses properly after years of them breaking down, not respect requests to properly inspect clear engine issues, send you broken buses to travel hundreds of miles in, and then ghost you when you ask for ANY sort of reimbursement??? Trash.

STOP WARNING!! 7-12-2015 Don't buy before you read this…read more When we're traveling we use the Hop-on-Hop off tour buses like the double deckers and trolley's system when visiting. But this experience here with Emerald City Tour has been a disaster. This owner needs to get out and see how it's really done in other major tourist cities. They don't have no idea how to operate this business. First of all there is no schedule, no time table when the next trolly will be back, they put this lame sign at the curbside at each of there drop off points (picture submitted) and states that they will return every 40 minutes. What the hell does that mean when you come out from doing your shopping. When was the Trolly here last? 5-10 or 40 minutes ago or did I just miss it? No one present there just that lame sign, and to get any feed back just speak to the sign and you get the same response from the Trolley operators. So you wait, wait and wait! Don't bother with the phone number that's available they just forward you to an email. I waited more than an hour and a half not on one occasion but twice. Then I finally took a taxi to another drop off point thinking ok stay close not to lose sight of the trolley. After, an hour and twenty minutes I emailed. They responded that they weren't going to that drop off point because of the baseball game near the stadium not at the stadium ( game was over 3 hrs. Earlier) they had no clue, the next email I received is that they would be there within the hour. I took another taxi. This outfit took me for $84 and made it to ONLY three stops. Oh! I mention that an eraser board and a sharpe might be helpful. I suggested that maybe that once the trolly has made a drop off that they could hand write the time when the next trolly arrives. I got this look as if I confused them, and I simplified it and told them that a "chalk board" would be handy, then they got it, one attended thought that it was a good idea, and seriously said that he would mention it to his boss WOW! Relay this post to your boss, get to SF and stay on there Hop-on-hop off for the duration of the trip and your revenue will substantially increase. That's a TIP that I'm passing on to you and that cost me which in return its free to you. Other passengers agreed because we all had similar accounts. I set up a Uber account and basically used there Hop-on-hop route and found that eliminated about six of there attraction, because you walk shop and walk shop and there you are you walk right pass those idiot signs. I made less than 12 stops (3days) with Uber and cost me less than $84 and found that uber was there within five minutes each and ever time amazing system (less than 5 $$$$ a stop). Take your money else where, this outfit doesn't deserve to be in business, they should be ashamed.

To say I was anxious is an understatement. Every bad thought was going through my head. Every movie about a plane crash, every news article about a small plane or seaplane accident, every worst case scenario you can imagine. I was honestly questioning my life choices and wondering why I had agreed to do this. The first reason was my daughter. She flew with Harbour Air from Vancouver to Seattle, and she has the same flying anxiety that I do. She absolutely loved it and kept telling me, "Mom, you have to try it!" The second reason was that my friend and I only had 24 hours in Victoria. I didn't want to spend half the day driving to the ferry terminal, waiting, taking the ferry, and doing the whole process all over again on the way back. We wanted to maximize our time, so we decided to be brave and go for it. Honestly, right up until boarding, I was thinking about turning around and calling it a day. I had my noise-canceling AirPods ready, my anxiety was at a solid 100%, and I was trying not to panic. Luckily, I met a lovely lady who ended up becoming a friend, and she gave me a few tips to help when my anxiety started kicking in. The flight from Seattle to Victoria was honestly wonderful. The weather was beautiful, the views were amazing, and the pilot was a young gentleman who was an absolute sweetheart. Smooth takeoff, smooth flight, smooth landing. I couldn't have asked for a better first seaplane experience. The flight back was a little different. We had an older pilot, there was some fog leaving Victoria, and it was a bit rougher than the first flight. But that's weather, not the airline. We landed safely, and that's what matters. I also have to give a shout-out to the staff in both Seattle and Victoria. Every single person we dealt with was super nice, super chill, professional, patient, and helpful. Nobody made me feel silly for being nervous, and their calm attitude definitely helped. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Would I be nervous again? Probably. Would I still do it? 100%. The views alone are worth it. The time savings are worth it. And for someone who spent half the trip thinking about all the things that could go wrong, I ended up really enjoying it. So if you're anxious about flying on a seaplane like I was, take it from someone whose imagination is way too active you'll probably be just fine. And yes, I would do it again.

LAKE CITY WAY BECKONED... Walking: This proved to be a wonderful path around and into the Lake City community of Seattle, through wonderful neighborhoods and adjacent to Cedar Park and the north end of Lake Washington. There were a LOT of cute little eateries, quaint stores, and one of the biggest Safeways I've ever been. (W00t!) During these daily romps I also stopped off at several other stores I've already reviewed in the Lake City area, including Sporthaus Schmetzer and Pacific Market. Transit: the buses ran pretty regularly and were only a $1 to go the distances I wanted to traverse when tired of walking.
