Bottom Line, This business was sold this year. Do not use Seattle Sun Control if you want your product in a timely manner, or at all. I ordered a motorized awning from Lars-Erik Snadgren, the new owner of Seattle Sun Control. He was friendly and knowledgeable when he came. It took several days for him to send the bid. As soon as I got the bid on May 26, I paid for half of the order. Due to Covid 19, he said it would take longer than the normal five weeks, which was fine. The problems started when I contacted Lars-Erik on June 22 and asked he had heard from the manufacture about the status of the awning. He didn't respond. I sent another text on June 24. Still no response. I called several times and left messages. I sent an email on July 10 stating that I had not heard from him and that I was frustrated and would need to cancel the order if he didn't get back to me. I texted again on July 10. He sent a text saying that he'd call me that day. I left another phone message yesterday. It is now July 17 and I have not heard from him. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge, $2,719.47, half the cost of the awning. Two of my neighbors used Seattle Sun Control and were very happy with the service and the product. However, Lars-Erik Snadgren purchased the company this past spring. It is now connected to Sandgren Solutions a contracting company. Nobody answers the phone at either--both with Lars-Erik's voice on voicemail. Nobody answers the phone. I would not order from them again. read more

Bottom line: DO NOT use Seattle Sun Control if you want easy, reliable and clear communication/customer service. We had four exterior solar shades installed on our home. The sales rep, TJ, came to our home twice to talk about the product and specifics of our project. He was nice and knew the product well. He explained that they regularly use a specific electrical company which takes care of the final electrical work (since their installers are not licensed to do this). I told him that I'd appreciate the name of the electrical company as I'd like to talk to them about a couple other odds and ends we needed done (separate from the shade install). Anyway, approximately three weeks after placing the shade order, I get a call from TJ saying they are ready to install. Great! I asked him if he had confirmed with the electrician as well and he said "no, I forgot to do that, my bad" or something to that nature. In other words, he admitted to dropping the ball!! Ok, so I was on my own to schedule the electrician which was two weeks out. The install guys come out a couple days after speaking with TJ to put in the shades. They had to give us temporary power since they neglected to arrange with the electrician to come the same day, so we were left with non-code wires hanging all over the front of our home. When I called Greg, the owner, to explain my frustration he never apologized and instead put the blame back on me stating that there was a miscommunication on both sides. Not only did TJ admit to to me he had neglected this piece but how could I possibly arrange directly with the electrician when I didn't know when the shades would be delivered to their warehouse?!?? Greg talked over me the whole time and again put the blame back on me. So, two weeks later I finally am able to get the electrician to come out (they are busy with their own business) and he gets here only to tell me the installers didn't leave enough wire length to hide the electrical boxes on the sides of the house which I explicitly explained I wanted at least three times and which the installers ensured me they would. Still waiting to hear back from Greg, but I'm not too encouraged he will do the right thing based on his previous behavior and the fact that he already has my money. Save yourself the headache and choose another shade provider. There are many. Wish I would have gone with the other company I researched, Seattle Awnings. I will most definitely be using them for future projects. While the product is nice (most companies carry this same product) these guys are truly terrible. Do not give Greg your money. read more

We had sun shades and a sun sensor installed on two very large west facing windows in 2016. Rob and his team did a great job with installation and made our living room bearable in the Seattle summertime. In 2017 one blind was squeaking badly when retracted, and ASSC came out and lubricated with silicon grease, problem gone. In 2018 one blind jammed, and after inspection it was determined that the rollers were slightly too wide for the track and they arranged for the manufacturer to send replacement parts for both windows. The job was completed and now they both operate smooth as glass. Good product, good service. read more

I made an appointment for All Seasons Sun Control to come out to a property I manage to give an estimate for multiple solar shades in multiple units. On the morning of the appointment I got a call from Rob saying he had booked another appointment downtown only an hour after he was supposed to meet with me and that he would be sending someone else to my property. His representative arrived on that Friday morning and we walked through the property. He said we would have a bid by Monday. Two weeks later, no bid. I have called several times to ask the status and keep being told someone will get back to me. Waste of time. Bad business. read more

Great company! They delivered the awning on time and the staff were very polite and professional.

We have a solarium that is 25' wide by 13' high. Others with whom we checked said it was too big of an area for a sunshade. I called Rob and he said they had a product just for that application. Rob came out promptly (and even offered to come on a weekend) to do the measurements and gave us a quote. We signed the contract that day. A few weeks later, Rob and two other men came out to install the large sunshade and additional awning. It was a very complicated job, in part due to the steep angle of the solarium. They did a great job of installing the electrical, and making the wiring as unobtrusive as possible. The installation took much longer than anyone expected, but the installers were very good thinkers and problem solvers, so they adapted and successfully got the solar share installed. We opted for the motorized sunshade and the motorized awning (for an upper deck), as well as the sun sensor. The afternoon temperature in our solarium is no longer a problem, and we can now sit on the upper deck in both hot sun and pouring rain. read more

ASSC, aka Contract Shades, All Seasons Retractable Awnings, Window Coverings USA. Greg M. Hamper, President, Robert W. Holt, Sales. Other businesses: 67th Street Townhomes, LLC,Diva Enterprises, LLC, Diva II, LLC, Hampco Enterprises, Inc., Highlands Coffee Co., LLC. We hired ASSC in 8/2016 to replace an outside retractable awning over our sunroom. Our experience is strikingly similar to that of Diana M. [Yelp review of 6/26/2015]. The cost of replacement was over $7,500. After the awning was installed, Mr. Holt never bothered to test it. When I indicated that the awning was no longer retracting automatically, Mr. Holt spoke of a "missing part". On 12/05/2016, he completely took apart the manual control box in order to find the information with which to order the "missing part". He promised to have an answer by 12/07/2016. We have called and emailed Mr. Holt numerous times since then - - to no avail. (Mr. Holt was never consistently available during this project. Sometimes it took days or weeks to get back to us). Here is what happened next: I spoke with Sue Gilliom of Rainier Shades and she explained to me OVER THE PHONE (at no cost) how to adjust the wind and sun sensor speed on the control box so that the awning would retract automatically. There was no missing part. I wish that I had chosen RAINIER SHADES in the beginning. read more

As part of the sale of the condo unit we purchased, the previous owner arranged for the window shades to be fixed and a new electronic control device to be provided. All Seasons did provide a new remote but did not bother to test it. If they had they would have discovered that the screen is jammed in the housing and the control can't work until it's fixed. We called the company multiple iMessage and appointments were made for service several times...and cancelled each time. Now the person we talked with Rob Holt won't even return our calls. My husband is in a wheelchair and I'm permanently disabled. We have to pay someone to do what All Seasons was paid $450+ to do. This company does not stand by their work. Don't call them! read more

I decided to purchase an awning off my porch, just large enough to cover an outdoor sectional sofa and fire table, and couldn't be happier with everything about my experience working with All Seasons Sun Control. I did a good amount of research and had 4 different companies come out to provide me a quote. Not only was ASSC the 2nd cheapest (1st cheapest didn't provide installation), but the rep from ASSC (Rob) was great to work with and answered all my questions. He even offered to leave me comp tickets for the Seattle Home Show so I could come and check out the awnings all set up at their booth. The guys who installed the awning was also great and had everything done in just over an hour, I highly recommend All Seasons Sun Control. read more

Last year we had a a safe roll security shutter installed on a below-grade window in our new home. It has been working great and given us peace of mind that our home is more secure. Rob Holt was a pleasure to work with. He was punctual, professional and delivered an excellent product. Last week, I damaged the shutter by operating the mechanism while a window (that opens out) was not properly closed. I contacted Rob about getting the shutter repaired. He sent a repair person out within two days who reset the shutter and solved the problem. There was no charge for the service call. It is rare these days to find such a professional organization this competent and courteous who stands by their product as well as All Seasons Sun Control. I highly recommend them! read more

We purchased a motorized awning for our deck and my husband and I are so pleased with All Seasons Sun Control from start to finish! Rob (the Sales guy) came out and provided me with all of our options and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to deciding what would work best for our deck, sun exposure, etc. We definitely shopped around with about 4 other local companies but came back to All Seasons because of their warranty, pricing, quality of product and for how long they have been around. We wanted to be assured if we needed assistance down the road that the company was still in business! The staff at All Seasons was very professional and my husband was amazed at how quickly they installed the awning and the installation was clean, neat and very high quality! Our house has French doors leading out onto the deck. The doors were drafty so the whole room was noticeably colder during winter, plus they bothered me from a security perspective as someone could easily break in. Our solution was to get a rolling shutter installed over the door. After comparing prices and reviews we went with All Seasons Sun Control and we couldn't be happier. Scheduling was easy, price was reasonable, the installation was professionally done, and the shutter operates beautifully. In contrast to Dee W.'s review, we had no problems getting ahold of Robert during the planning phase via phone or email. Definitely recommend these guys for similar projects. read more
