After several rooms in our house were torn up due to water damage, I was so apprehensive about the consequent ceiling and wall repair and (since we had the opportunity) bathroom remodel. Thankfully, working with Seattle Remodeling turned out great beyond my most optimistic expectations! When I invited folks for bids, the first few contractors I spoke with seemed so put-upon at the prospect of a project, shooting down our reasonable but more complex ideas and trying to funnel us into basic layouts and materials we didn't want. Each visit was demoralising; I was starting to feel resigned to the idea that some unenthusiastic crew would be short-cutting their way through our project, more focused on their own convenience than on improving and beautifying our home. Then Serge came for an estimate, and the contrast with the other contractors was like night and day! He asked for and listened to our goals and considerations, walked us through options, and together we formulated a plan. (The poor contractor who visited after that...I was evaluating contractors on a whole new scale after meeting with Serge!) This pattern of care and collaboration persisted throughout the whole project. Serge, Andrei, and their partner professionals (electrician, plumber, etc) were so friendly and collaborative during the process. They explained each step and status, gave options where made sense, and always prioritised our goals for the project. They were also very respectful of our space, including removing or covering shoes when they needed to stray from the protected areas and, since we have special health considerations, wearing masks per my request (very different from other contractors I met). They also were very solicitous about considering my work schedule, e.g. for power shut-offs. Andrei was the primary person "on the ground" on the project, and his attention to detail and craftsmanship are mind-blowing. From matching existing paint colours to cutting and arranging tricky handmade tile, even down to proactively matching the tile-carpet transition piece with the fixtures, Andrei was on it. He wanted to understand my (unconventional) vision and then make it an exceptionally high-quality reality, and that means so much! I was consistently moved by how special and rare it is for someone to put in that level of care and effort. I had been looking for a company to do some updating of my kitchen and my bathroom. I called Seattle Remodeling LLC and left a message that I needed an estimate. Well to my surprise Mike called me back within 15 minutes. The other two companies I had contacted took them 2-3 days to get back to me and their prices were way too high. Mike came out that same day after talking to me and gave me an estimate. I explained that I wanted custom cabinets, quartz countertops, and a custom backsplash in the kitchen. In the bathroom, I had no idea, I just wanted it updated, I told Mike I would leave the design up to him and he did not disappoint. We had serious water damage and needed ceiling and wall repair and hardwood floor replacement and painting in living and dining rooms. After getting few bids we decided to go with Seattle Remodeling. We were very impressed with Serge and Andrei, who were prompt to provide detailed offer and answer our questions. Serge has great attention to detail, he was the only contractor who noticed there will be additional electrical work needed to align the light fixtures due to the way the pipes had been reinstalled after the incident. Job was done very fast! The electrical work, ceiling and dry wall repair, painting and hardwood installation, sanding and staining were completed in 8 calendar days. Serge efficiently coordinated the work between subcontractors and was meticulous in checking how the job was done by each of them, and always made sure we were satisfied by the progress so far. Though they are not cheap, they deliver high quality and customer service. We contacted Seattle Remodeling as one of three bids, and they were the 3rd one we received. From the first meeting with Serge, I had a good feeling from that the collaboration would be smooth. Serge, Andrey and team didn't disappoint. We asked them to remodel two bathrooms (one full and one half-bath) and after seeing the quality of the work, we added another job which was to add tile flooring to two other rooms. That went great. A month after that, we asked them to tile in our 90s vintage fireplace and also add some upgraded lighting in the garage. The way of working was great. Always on time, always on budget. There were a couple small things that went wrong, as is normal for complex projects, and the team contributed more than their fair share to get them right. We needed to replace old tile in our house that we just bought. My colleague referred me to Andrei. Andrei was prompt to respond and to give an estimate. We had a small project: after our plumber replaced old pipes and our shower valve, we needed to patch up the tile in the shower. We reached out to Seattle Remodeling via Yelp and were able to quickly schedule an in-person appointment for them to provide a quote. They showed up on time and were reasonably priced.
