That all changed with the Eastside Weight Loss Clinic program. The staff was always friendly/helpful and any questions I sent through the app were answered very quickly. The educational content in the app related to why they are having you eat certain foods and why certain foods lead to weight gain was really helpful. I now understand the science behind why I should fuel my body with certain foods/portions long term. During the reduction phase (60 days) I lost 26 lbs (~12% of my body weight) and 27 inches! The fat literally melted. The food options were limited but you have the freedom to get creative and make food that you enjoy eating. The portions seemed large and filling. The program works if you follow it and trust the process. I have been in the maintenance phase for 3 months and I haven't gained any weight. In fact, I'm still losing very slowly. The maintenance guidelines have helped me understand that meals should be similar to those in the reduction phase most of the week and then it's fine to have a few "treat meals" per week. I have more appreciation for foods that should be eaten in moderation now and I truly enjoy them rather than just eating mindlessly. I have no sugar cravings which is really amazing because I had a sweet tooth! I'm still doing intermittent fasting most days of the week since it is just a habit now. I've lost 8.5 additional pounds in the last 3 months with no tracking calories and just following the guidelines I learned for maintenance in the program. I'd like to lose 15-20 more pounds so another reduction phase would totally get me to that goal. I'm so glad I found this program because it completely changed how I view food.
