While I was in the excellent care of Dr.Favreau I was introduced to Dr.Giordano the Naturopathic Physician and other side of Stability Health. I have insomnia and was looking for help. Contrary to my PCP, she did not just prescribe sleep medication, but actually said "let's find out why you can't sleep ". After a few tests she diagnosed several deficiencies and suggested supplements . I am German and therefore being stubborn is in my DNA, so my body is very reluctant to accept any changes, but Dr. G is working with me to overcome this and I'm convinced that I'll be able to sleep soon. I really appreciate Dr.G's knowledge and expertise and her always smiling and caring disposition. read more

After several back-to-back negative experiences, I have decided to find another massage provider in town. Nobody wants to start fresh. Finding a new place that accepts your insurance and completing necessary paperwork again is not easy. No massage place is perfect, but when yours becomes a source of pain rather than pleasure, well, you get my drift. Massage therapists are fine, but the front desk people are unpleasant, unkind, and unprofessional. The first one was very pleasant in person, but apparently she was let go due to too many billing mistakes. After she left, I was billed for multiple, random appointments. The mistake was explained to me via multiple emails and phone calls, and at the end, it made sense, but it was still unpleasant. During staff transitions, I had a couple of interactions with Dr. Rachel Giordano. She was probably filling in while the receptionist position was vacant. She was unkind and unpleasant; billed me a wrong amount. When I complained, I was informed that she was from the east coast. Not sure what that has to do with her rudeness, but I let it go. I recently made an appointment and was told that I might need to update my prescription. This was a week ago. I asked the new receptionist to call me if there was indeed any problem. I was supposed to get massage today but no word from the office. No appointment confirmation text or email. Not a beep. I called the office just in case. The new receptionist assured me that all was fine and confirmed my appointment time. When I brought up our chat about my prescription, she was not sure. When she called me back -- literally two hours before my appointment,--she informed me that I needed to renew my prescription. Without an ounce of remorse, she said I would not be charged for late cancellation. LOL. As if I was getting a special treat. I had a week to call my doctor's office and get my prescription renewed. Nobody called me as promised! Dr. Justin Favreau called but he made me feel worse. He said insurance/prescription was my responsibility. Great, why didn't you tell me so a week ago? Why did the receptionist tell me that she would look into it and follow up with me if needed? I won't go back. They are not "stable". read more

If you are in the neighborhood and are searching for a knowledgeable, attentive, and effecient chiropractor I would highly urge you to choose another spot. I've been mountain biking and snowboarding my whole life so I've been to a number of chiropractors over the years and never have I been given such a run-around for treatment. First a full set of x-rays were taken of me standing--which is fine--but much less so when you understand that HOW you stand changes a 30+ week treatment plan. I for one arched my back to try to stand up straight which pushed my neck forward, signing me up for 30+ weeks of neck focused therapy. I was told that my hands could go numb, and over time I could lose sensation completely, but here I am, a few different opinions later with no neck issue (it was actually lower back in Origin) and no numbness. When asked how that x-ray set of one stance could be an accurate determinant of the whole treatment plan the doc actually responded with, "It's because I asked you to stand normally, so I know this is your normal stance." ... You don't stand differently when someone is taking imaging of your spine? OK. Because I certainly did. Don't stand too strangely because who knows what he'll cook up for you. Next he felt my neck for about 60 seconds muttering, "Oh yeah, uh huh" and then left to go check his other patients. I could hear him talking with others from my room. He left our initial consultation upward of four times to do this, leaving me sitting, wondering when I was going to get treatment. Our second appointment consisted of the doc going over the x-rays with me. I was told I have neck pain, wonder if that is what brought me in in the first place? No treatment was given. He said he would make a personalized treatment plan that would be revealed at our next appointment. Third appointment was where I was sat down in a room to watch a generic movie for my "personalized" treatment plan. After three appointments, not a single ounce of treatment, and was already 400 dollars (after insurance) in, and here I was about to watch a movie about what was to come. That was it for me--I have never done this in my life, and I work in Healthcare so I am very empathetic to the system, but I actually just told the chiropractor thank you for his time but I was going to go with someone else. $400 dollars, not a single moment of treatment. I would have left it at that but then I never actually recieved a bill. I found out it was $400 dollars because the money was pulled from my account without direct authorization. Yes, I had put a card on file with them as was their policy, but it was not a card I intended to pay with--it just happened to be the only card I had on me during my first visit--my account for small expenses. I was used to paying medical bills after the fact, so didn't bring my HSA card, I was assured I could pay from what ever account I wished later--this was just insurance for them when people didn't pay. No call, no paper bill later, just withdrawn from an account I didn't intend actually intend to use. Quite unnerving. When I reached out to ask if they could use my HSA account for payment they responded with, "Sorry, we don't give refunds". I was told I could just file a claim and get HSA to cover it at a different time. They denied my claim on the grounds that I didn't recieve any treatment--Ironic. OK then. I would choose this chiropractor if you enjoy the run-around, generic treatments for unique problems, expensive bills for conversation, money being pulled from your account without authorization, and the scent of lavander. They really do have a divine humidifier in the lobby. If you end up going, sorry--and I hope your experience is better than mine! read more

I was very disappointed in my treatment with Dr. Favreau and the way he runs his office. I have a debilitating neck issue, cranial cervical instability, (CCI/AAI) which causes a lot of different symptoms that can sometimes be disabling. I moved here from Denver, and Dr. Favreau was recommended by my chiropractor there. My first appointment was at 11am, but the Dr. didn't see me until 12:30. He then did a consultation with me in which I explained the severity of issues I have with my neck. I asked for an adjustment as I really needed one after moving. I expected that since he did the same type of chiropractic and was recommended by my Denver chiro, and seemed to understand the seriousness of CCI, that it would be done with the same gentle care as my Denver chiro. Yet it was much stronger than I was used to and it left me with a bad headache and neck pain for the next few days. My next appointment was a circus. The adjustment table is in the middle of a room that looks like a gym, with multiple people on various machines and tables who can hear all of your health complaints. As I arrived I was told to do a set of 10 exercises. In Denver my Dr. had told me that I needed to be very careful with doing too many exercises with my condition, and had only given me 3. I explained this to the woman directing me and she said that all patients have to start with these exercises. So I did them, and then waited in the middle of this room - there was no place to sit - trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. There was a woman lying on a massage table, a person getting an adjustment, another person on an exercise machine, another in one of the traction contraptions, and music playing. It felt like a gym, not a place you'd go to discuss your health and healing with a doctor. After 20 minutes I tracked down an office woman and asked "if I have an appointment at a certain time, does the doctor come get me after I'm done with the exercises or how does this work?". She said I'm supposed to show up at the appointment time, log into a computer at the front, do my exercises, and then, and I quote "if you feel like you might need an adjustment you can track down the Doctor". She then offered to tell him I wanted an adjustment so that I'd be next. During the second adjustment Dr. Favreau had a conversation with another person, yelled at another patient who was in a device the wrong way, and went and helped the patient in said device. He was not at all focused on me. I did not get the feeling he cared about my condition, the fragility of my neck, or the fact I didn't feel well after my last adjustment (which I told him about). This second adjustment was also too strong, but felt fine for the first 10 minutes. But then started to hurt badly on my way home and started to feel like I had done something injurious to my neck. I had a headache for four days and the pain in my neck and my symptoms have gotten worse since moving here, starting with Dr. Favreau. The way the Stability Health Center is run is not conducive for someone with a serious issue. The Doctor can't give you his full attention and focus when he's overseeing a room full of other patients. There were even two other women there - one an assistant, but he was still pretty distracted. Plus, it's uncomfortable discussing your medical issues in front of a room full of other patients and staff. My last chiropractor in Denver, when I came to him with my neck issues, he looked me in the face and told me he sincerely thought he could help me. And he did. He was concerned with my life and every visit asked how my neck was doing and how my other symptoms were (in a private room where he did the adjustments). Only after assessing me and doing a gentle adjustment would he tell me how many exercises to do, then had me do traction and icing. Dr. Favreau appeared unconcerned with these aspects of my life, didn't give me unique exercises, and only gave me ice after I asked. Rather than being a unique patient with a unique problem that he wanted to help me with I felt like I was just another cog in the wheel of the circus of his daily job. It has taken me some time to post this review, as Dr. Favreau is friends with my chiropractor in Denver, who I love and respect. But I feel that other people with a difficult injury or delicate problem should know, especially since chiropractic biophysics touts itself as being the best, most well researched form of chiropractic, yet most of them run their offices in this same fashion and not one has been able to handle my neck with the delicacy it needs. read more

I was appalled at the treatment that I received from Dr. Giordano at the Seattle Weight Loss & Wellness clinic. When filling out my intake paperwork, a copy of the financial agreement was included - typical with most facilities - however this office wanted to keep a credit card on file in order to bill me personally if insurance didn't pay on time. I indicated that I did not consent to any services that were not covered by my insurance plan, but if I later changed my mind to accept a non-covered service, I would gladly pay at the time of service. I called the office prior to my visit to confirm that this was acceptable and at this point they said it would not be a problem. Upon meeting Dr. Giordano, she said that she was disturbed that I did not want to leave my credit card on file to comply with her policy, and that it was unethical for her to not collect a co-pay from me, despite the fact that I have no co-pays as I have reached an out-of-pocket maximum. I requested that she verify this with my insurance company (as other providers in the past have done). She refused and continued to act confrontational and rude. Dr. Giordano had me sign medical records authorization forms, but later told me she would not access my records and that I had to find all medical records on my own. After spending the time to track this information down to bring to my second visit, she refused to accept the paperwork specifically because I did not pay the co-pay that I did not owe. I find a financial issue getting in the way of patient care to be particularly disturbing. That issue should be strictly between the medical office management, the patient, and the insurance company. My complaints go further than her financial policy which is misinformed at best, and fraudulent at worst. I went to the doctor to see her as a naturopath. I have serious health conditions I want to get under control and was looking for guidance. Instead of her offering treatment as a naturopath, she tried to play the role of a nutrionist or weight loss coach, stating her professional opinion that I needed to be on the Ideal Protein diet plan, for which she offered services though she didn't want to see me as a patient. The Ideal Protein diet costs $400 to join and $99 per week which I cannot afford as I am on disability. It was her opinion that it was 'cost neutral' since I would be buying less food. It seems to me that her business practice is to lure people into the clinic to sell them on a weight loss program to generate her profit. I see a nutritionist at a different practice who has experience with patients taking the Ideal Protein diet. Her professional opinion was that it works initially for most users, but a majority of patients gain the weight back plus some after the fact. It is apparently on par with Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem... but with added visit fees going straight to Dr. Giordano! Besides her "treatment" seeming like a scam, she's rude and unprofessional. I refuse to go to any provider that treats patients so poorly (especially when they have serious, diagnosed health conditions), ignoring her patients' major health concerns to instead put them on a paid diet plan. Having such a serious condition as I do, I am very familiar with many, many providers and different approaches to medical care--but this is probably the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor and I cannot on good conscience let anyone go in there without knowing what I experienced. read more

I ADVISE YOU TO SIGN UP WITH ANOTHER CLINIC.*** First of all, let me say that I write this review as both a former client and employee of Dr. Giordano and the Seattle Weight Loss and Wellness Clinic. When I started as a client, Dr. G was running the clinic with one other coach. They were friendly and informative. I had been on Ideal Protein before and knew the drill. It seemed like a no brainer. Dr. G asked me shortly after if I'd like to become a coach and work part time. I said sure, as it would help me afford the food for both my husband and myself while we were on the program. All was good for a while until I started dealing with some personal issues and needed to miss some days at work. It was also becoming clear to both parties that I wasn't a good fit for the clinic. But instead of having a conversation with me, Dr. G decided to email me the day before my shift and tell me I was no longer needed as a coach and to please come drop off my key immediately. I thought that was pretty unprofessional. But I said okay and asked her to meet me the next morning to discuss the situation when I dropped off my key. The next morning I waited nearly 2 hours for and she never showed up. I stopped by again a few days later and again was stood up. She never again spoke to me about it, and still hasn't to this day (nearly 3 months later). In addition, there have been multiple instances I have heard Dr. G and the head coach degrading people for their size. One instance in particular, we set up a booth at the recent Bridal Show in Bellevue. The head coach continuously made comments to the effect of, "Wow, she needs this so bad." "Talk about a fat bride." "Why isn't anyone stopping here? Don't they want to look good on their wedding day?" This behavior is rude, disrespectful and lacks compassion or understanding. As a clinic that promotes weight loss, I find it astounding that the owner and employees would display such a sense of disgust and disregard for people with weight disorders. Instead, they spend their time chatting online with out of state boyfriends and and gossiping about the 'fat' people going into the medical offices across the street. Again, this is no reflection on the Ideal Protein Weight Loss System - the program actually works great, I lost 85 pounds. But seriously, find another clinic. read more

I needed to kick start a good health campaign and this weight loss center has assisted me in achieving goals that are very hard to do in today's environment. I have been utilizing their Ideal Protein program and in four months I have lost almost 50 LBs. Utilizing the products and eating 'real' food in addition has allowed me to lose 3 Lbs a week resulting in better sleep, increased energy and new clothes. Having an excellent coach, (the beautiful Jen), with Dr. Giordano ensures that you have someone watching your back in this life changing adventure. I have followed the diet's protocols with a religious intensity and have been educated to the science of weight loss. Daily videos, you receive via email, by Dr. Wilkerson teach you and guide you to exactly what is happening to your physical being. I feel very confident with the decisions I make regarding food and it has prepared me for when I am no longer on the diet. I biggest thing you need to understand about this change in your eating habits is that you no longer crave foods, feel hungry, or succumb to the constant desires presented by society. I purchased a groupon for one month of unlimited infrared sauna. I visited the clinic almost everyday to sit, sweat and detox. I was very pleased with the results. My schedule wasn't always easy and consistent, but Dr. G and her wonderful staff are very accommodating. I would call-in minutes, before my desired session and they would always find a way to fit me in. I really loved that about them! It was so easy to make appointments and they were so flexible with my busy schedule. I had a situation where I couldn't make it in for a week because of a death in the family. Dr G is so kind and understanding that she extended a week of infrared session. I highly recommend anyone to try the infrared sauna. There's tons of health benefits with the infrared and will help boost weight loss and detoxification. It has helped me rid of toxins to jump start my weight loss. Seattle Weight Loss and Wellness is on myself and my wife's weekly "coffee walk" down California Ave. On a whim one day last August I stopped in and inquired after seeing a sign promoting rapid results in weight loss. I am so glad I did. I have tried many diets, exercise programs, and "miracle" pills and nothing has worked to drop weight. Naturally, I was skeptical that Ideal Protein, the program they use at SWL&W would work. With nothing to lose but posterior-weight I signed up. The trick here is stay on for about four days and you lose all sugar cravings while your body enters ketosis to rapidly burn fat. The food is pretty good and has a good variety to avoid getting bored. The next service offered is the coaching sessions, which you meet weekly to weigh in and be held accountable. Coach Jen does a great job keeping you motivated and sharing her experiences when she successfully lost a lot of weight with IP as well. She is very approachable and cares about the success of her clients. I am now down pre-Thanksgiving of 32.5 pounds and weigh the least I have weighed in 10 years! Also, I feel so much better having dropped all the weight and feel rejuvenated. I started the program on 4th September and am amazed and impressed with the results. Really disappointing experience, and I was never even in the office. I called after injuring my neck severely, and they weren't able to fit me in until the afternoon the next day (which is totally fine, by the way). I mentioned that I had called a few other places, and was hoping to find a doctor who could see me ASAP that day, and the doctor told me specifically not to worry about the $150 cancellation fee for new patients- since I was in serious pain, just call back and they'd waive this fee if I was able to see someone sooner. Fast forward to the next morning, when I call and let them know that I got a chance to see someone the day prior and needed to cancel, the new person on the phone said she'd talk to the doctor who'd initially scheduled my appointment and waive the fee. When she called me back, she said that doctor confirmed she never said to ignore the fee, and that there are no exceptions. When I tried to contest and tell her I would never have given them my card information without that reassurance, she wouldn't listen. 5 minutes later, they charged my card. You could say it was on me and I shouldn't have given my card number when a fee was even mentioned, but it's disappointing that they wouldn't even reconsider or honor waiving the fee considering my injury, their miscommunication, and the circumstances. If you're looking for a chiropractor or massage therapist, I'd strongly suggest staying away from this place. This really felt like a scam to me. read more

My experience of Seattle Weight Loss and Wellness is wholly positive. After only one month, my husband and I agree - The Ideal Protein weight loss program is a great "jump start" to a healthy lifestyle change. I've tried other programs; some that offer applause and stickers as external motivation. Others require sweat and tears. The IP program comes complete with the education, supplements, foods, and menus. Dr. Giordano and Coach Carri offer steady guidance through weekly coaching sessions. They seem genuinely interested in educating their clients for success in the LONG RUN! They have debunked so many of the dieting myths I've held for years. My doctor knew of others that had used IP and recommended the program. My friend, a scientist, explained the mechanics of how the IP theory translates to weight loss. The first thing we noticed, aside from steady weight loss, is WHAT KIND of items we were placing on the grocery conveyor belt. Gone are the highly processed foods! It's easy to learn how IP foods can be combined with other healthy food choices. After the first week of adjustments, we were on our way! Advice? I have been very satisfied with the quality of care I have received both from Dr. Giordano and Jenn Gustafson, the head coach for Ideal Protein. The clinic is conveniently located with ample street parking. The online scheduling system is very user friendly and the Ideal Protein protocol is easy to follow and very effective. The atmosphere is friendly and professional so I am surprised by some of the negative reviews as my experiences here have been nothing but pleasant. I have obtained excellent results from the Ideal Protein protocol and I absolutely credit Dr. G and Jenn with my success. I was referred to Ideal Protein and Dr. Giordano by a coworker that had great success with the program. I went in for a consultation at the end of April 2013 and signed up immediately. I knew I had to do something, as I just never felt right in an overweight body. I liked the idea that if you could not find the time to workout, it was still alright, as you could still be successful in losing weight. It is now October and I am 2 lbs shy of my goal. I lost 53 lbs and 8% body fat in less than 6 months, but the real clincher is I was able to stop taking my blood pressure medicine!! This program also provides videos and ongoing education, so you really are able to change your relationship to food when all is said and done. I am 26 and started making appointments with Dr. G two years ago. I am sincerely happy and grateful that I did. I am healthier than I have been in 7 or 8 years, now down at least 30 lbs of fat and somewhere between 5-10 lbs of added lean mass. This improvement is largely due to a complete change in diet, in order to re-stabilize my body. Even more than the weight loss is the improvement in my digestive, overall wellness, and mental health. I suffered from increasing levels of anxiety, nausea, unknown food allergies and routinely poor quality of sleep. All of these issues are inter-related and Dr. G's use of natural supplements and dietary adjustments work. Her methods take time and discipline, the bulk of the process took about a year, but now the discipline regarding my diet is self-regulated. I promise you the results are worth it. Dr. G is a very kind and attentive medical professional who provides a very nice alternative to the standard practices of prescription medication. If I had rated this business in November I would have rated them 4-5 stars, but read on to find out the change. In July I met with Dr. Giordano who runs the weightloss program, I was eager to get started and told her lots of people spoke highly Of her weightloss coach,Jen, she informed me Jen was no longer there because she was part of ideal protein and since she had switched from ideal protein to Proti a different program she lost her coach. and for now she would be my coach until she hired someone, I thought no problem, I paid the start-up fee which included weekly weigh-ins and a meeting with the weightloss coach, I did this for 5 months with great success,I lost 45 pounds, however,after christmas at my weekly weigh in, the new weightloss coach, mollie pulled out a letter from Dr. Giordano explaining that as of January 1st, 2018, she would start charging a weekly weigh-in fee of 25.00 dollars,and this would be a reoccurring fee. If you are a client who is on maintenance,the fee is 45.00 dollars, this outraged me. You Dr. Giordano offered me a program to lose, all the weight I neede at the SET price and when your pt's are at there most vulnerable you decide to charge a fee, this smells desperate not to mention deceitful.I am more than disappointed, I feel betrayed. I told Mollie the coach my displeasures with the upcoming changes, she relayed this to the dr. Who e-mailed me with the explanation that she hadn't raised prices in 5 years and she thought it was an appropriate move, REALLY! Not so much,so I have moved over to Ideal protein in west seattle, they only charged me a 25.00 dollar transfer fee NO WEEKLY WEIGH-IN FEES plus I am able to continue my journey to better health. First oath for a physician: do no harm, well you failed, and you sorely failed your patients. I've been a patient of Dr. Giordano's and an Ideal Protein client since the last week of January 2014. As of today - 1/15/2015 - I've lost 105 pounds. This is an AMAZING feat. I've tried many different weightloss programs and have been able to lose about 20-30 pounds before, but never this much. My overall health has also improved tremendously. I have a chronic sinus condition and in previous years, can be ill with as many as 7 or 8 infections in any given year. Since I've started working with Dr. G and started on Ideal Protein, I've had exactly ONE sinus infection! This is also an amazing thing. I had been told by all my previous doctors - including my previous Naturopath - that I would need to have sinus surgery and yet in the past year I've had just one sinus infection. This Ideal Protein program is fantastic. If you follow it exactly and diligently you will lose weight, and fairly quickly too. My Coach for the program is fabulous - very supportive and understanding. She is a former Ideal Protein client herself so intimately understands what it is about, what it is to overweight, and all the obstacles or issues you might face as you move through the program. She always has great advise on how to deal with whatever concerns you might have for your upcoming week. Considering that this program has DRASTICALLY changed my life for the better, it is well worth every dime that it costs. Again, I've lost 105 pounds in less than a year!!!! read more

I am very happy to write a great review of Seattle Weightloss and wellness! I have been on the program for three months now, and have lost over 30 pounds. The expectations and day to day disciplines are comfortable for me.... The goals I have are achievable, and the Ideal Protein plan combines what I feel are the needed components for success.... Good food (far better than most plans, trust me....), education, videos, tips, etc. The staff is wonderful.... Full of supportive information, humor, and a belief that we can achieve our goals..... I am so thankful I took the step to try this, and I highly recommend stopping by to learn that it could work for you..... I have been going to Seattle Weight loss and Wellness for 2 months. I have dropped 35 pounds and 17 inches. I have tried several other diets over the years, but never one like this. The ketosis diet is amazing. I don't even feel like I am on a diet. It just becomes a routine. The shakes and drinks are amazing for people that are busy and on the go. All my sweet cravings and fast food cravings went away after the first week. I can preach all day about how amazing Dr. Giordano is. I love that she holds me accountable. After putting a few back on over the summer, I tried to lose it alone and wasn't disciplined enough so I resumed Ideal Protein to take off the extra 10. I'm still working on it! Support and encouragement have been my experience. After reading some recent reviews I will say that I've always felt supported and had a good experience. I had joint pain that has improved because of my weight loss and I'm grateful every day when I climb my stairs! Dr. Giordano is kind but she is direct and tells you the truth. If your health problems are stemming from excess weight (diabetes, high blood pressure), she will be honest with you about that. Sometimes hearing that can be difficult but I appreciate being told the truth. I was also told that Ideal Protein is not the only option for weight loss. I chose the program because it was a blend of prepackaged foods and foods I prepared. I don't love to cook, so I liked the ease of some snacks and packaged meals with Ideal Protein. If you're not ready to commit to a weight loss plan, IP may not be for you. I had a friend start the program a month after I did and she just wasn't able to commit for more than 3 months. After a few visits, where she was honest with her coach about cheating, she was encouraged to stop the program, and resume it again when she was ready. It was a little tough for her to hear, but she knew it was the right thing, and there's no need to buy the food if you're not actually ready to do the program. Stick with it, and it works. If you're wanting to hear an honest opinion (I don't want someone to sugar coat things), Dr. Giordano and coach Jenn just might be a great fit for you! One last note...the program does seem pretty costly at first, but my overall food bill was actually about $40 less per month because there were so many foods I was buying previously that, well, I probably shouldn't have been eating in the first place! read more

I have been going in regularly to use the infrared sauna for the last month. It's in a private, comfortable room complete with essential oil diffuser and your choice of music. It ends up being a super relaxing experience. The staff are all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I'm glad I found an infrared sauna so close to where I live! Note: FYI the sauna is the portable kind that you sit in and zips up around you - not a hard box/room that you sit inside. read more

This is a review of a Groupon purchased for a infrared sauna. There were pictures on the promo of a real sauna. However, when I arrived at the place after lengthy filling up of forms and even having my picture taken, I was taken to a room with an aluminium box in the middle of it. It was so improvised, with a metal chair in the middle with a worn out towel on top. The room smelled of sweat, and I refused to take the service. The woman told me she has already redeemed the voucher and it is up to me to cancel it with Groupon. When I called Groupon they said they can only do a trade in, but I want a full refund to my card as the service was not as described. This left a very bad impression of this business, whereas I was hoping to become a regular. I think they know very well how Groupon operates, and have probably scammed many people, redeeming their vouchers before they have a chance to see what they are getting. Unfortunately, Groupon only puts the positive reviews on top, and only after I find out about the scam and dug deeply find out few other reviews that mention that this was not what they've expected. Now when I read the reviews for this business it sounds very much like they've got some friends to rave about them. So be careful. read more

Dr G and her staff are the best . I started my journey with them in August . The results are life changing . I am down overall 40lbs and most important I am off all of my medications. I was tired of taking a bunch of pills with no results and I wanted a more chemical free lifestyle . Now I have replaced them with vitamins and I haven't felt better! I've always been skeptical of diets. Maybe that's because I can never seem to stick to one. What Ideal Protein involves, however, is simply "resetting" your body's metabolism. With a combination of packaged food, your own cooking, and supplements, you enter ketosis and start to lose weight (even while you sleep). Dr. Rachel Giordano is THE WORST doctor I have ever met. She hardly seems like a doctor and more like a salesman. I found them through google and emailed the office explaining about my weight issues and that I was diagnosed with PCOS (basically a hormonal imbalance) which also causes weight gain, asking if they specialize in this and could help me. I wanted a second opinion and a doctor who knew how to help me handle this and my weight issues. I received an email back from Dr. Rachel Giordano saying she has helped lots of women with this issue and could "definitely help". I came in for a visit on a Friday and had some blood drawn. At the appointment, without seeing any blood work to know if this was a hormonal balance that could be helped with supplements or medicine, Dr. Rachel Giordano recommended their Ideal Protein weight loss plan, which is like a Jenny Craig meal replacement and I would have to pay $350 to sign up. I told her I can't really afford it, but would think about it. Rachel said she would call me on Monday with my blood test results. Later that evening after researching the meal replacement plan I emailed Dr. Giordano that I simply could not afford it, but that it seemed like a South Beach diet I could do on my own with her help. Her response was very short and blunt stating "You cannot do it on your own and will not lose weight without the program". So as a doctor her only form of treatment is a meal replacement program? She went to med school to sell just this? After over a week of not hearing back from Stability Spine and Wellness about my blood work, I emailed Dr. Rachel Giordano asking about my test results and received an email that Rachel was out of the office, which no one told me about. I was leaving on a trip out of the country so I called the office asking if someone else can call today with my results. Turns out Dr. Rachel Giordano came into the office that day back from her trip and emailed me that she "doesn't feel comfortable giving results over the phone and I would have to come in for another visit to go over my results", which would cost another $65 copay. So out of no where she now changed her mind and I'm expected to come in and pay! It seems that because I didn't agree to do the Ideal Protein plan I was no longer an interesting client since I wouldn't buy into their system. After lots of phone calls, emails and arguing, Dr. Rachel Giordano emailed me my blood work, which turned out to just be a general CBC. She didn't even do a hormone panel, which is why I went to her in the first place. It just seemed like a very lazy attempt to help me and get me to buy into their Ideal Protein plan. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND A RIP OFF! I paid a total of $90 for my visit and didn't receive any help or service. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! read more

Don't waste your money for their Ideal Protein scam. These folks are very much focused on getting your $ and they could care less about customer service let alone your wellness. I've never experienced such a lackluster and defeating, insulting "consultation" in my life! The saleswoman's final comment to me before I paid my $50 for the 20 minute meeting was "well your metabolic age is 90, that's pretty bad." For the outrageous price of this very restrictive diet, I could have a personal trainer and see a real naturopath/ nutritionist! I hope I save you some cash and pride. read more

I was not impressed with Dr. G customer service from the start. The first week I did this program, I lost 5lb. I of course was very excited and pleased. Dr. G told me "that's just water weight". I was pissed. Not exactly my idea of encouragement. In my opinion, I don't think she has any idea what it's like to be overweight, the struggles, the frustration, or the temptation. To loose 5lb in a week is a huge deal! I stopped going after a month. I felt like it was all about the $$. read more

My experience as a patient here has been great. The online patient portal is very convenient, and Dr. Giordano is very good about responding quickly to questions and requests. On the Ideal Protein protocol, I've lost 30 lbs in about 13 weeks, which is really amazing for me. I have been going to SWLW since July 2016 for both weight loss and to see Dr. G as a naturopath. I have had tremendous success on the weight loss program (it is near miraculous) and have lost over 100 pounds. Dr. G has also been very proactive with my health and has investigated several issues that revealed various needed interventions, which I am now pursuing. My husband and I have, for years, been unsatisfied with our weight. I always (half-jokingly) said my weight fluctuated- but that it fluctuated upwards. I thought I was eating fairly healthy. I mean, I wasn't eating fast food every day or even every week. We were doing pizza night once a week, but come on, that's fine right? I tried running a few miles every night, but combining the long, cold, dark winters of the Pacific Northwest and my dislike for getting sweaty, that was short-lived. I tried the whole smoothie thing for my meals, but the texture was gross and I like to actually chew my food, not slurp it. I was getting more and more discouraged as the years were going by and the weight kept creeping on. I wanted to look good in a swimsuit just once in my life! Is that too much to ask? And I'll take a one-piece! It doesn't even have to be a two-piece! I should also mention that I am a type 1 Diabetic. So, even besides the whole vanity thing, I knew I needed to get my A1C down before we started to have kids. I knew that having an unhealthy A1C would put both my child and myself at major risk for complications. I started to really think about the devastating health risks if I kept going on the path of being overweight. Just living is not enough...being happy and healthy is what I wanted. And for some reason, the latter always seemed out of my reach. I got to the point where I thought no one understood, that my situation was unique, and worst of all-that no one could help me. Then, my husband talked to a couple people from his work that were going through this weight loss program and they were seeing great results. We looked for an office close to where we live that provided this program and that's how we found Seattle Weight Loss and Wellness. We had a consultation with Dr Giordano (or as we call her, Dr G), and she explained to us the weight loss program. We didn't feel pressured to join, and my husband and I were able to think about it and talk it over for a couple days before we decided to give it a try. We started Oct 3rd and we are both halfway to our goal weight! And my A1C is going down too! My last apt with my endocrinologist was actually nice! I didn't feel guilty or nervous seeing my Dr, or to hear what my A1C was. I knew it was going to be better! And it was! I am intentionally not putting my start weight or goal weight in this review, because being healthy is not entirely about how many pounds you are. It is more about what being healthy FOR YOUR BODY looks like. Yes, you are unique and yes being overweight sucks big time. But the good news is that there is help out there.
