Seeing friends get into accidents taught me a quick lesson: if you don't have video proof, insurance companies and police have a hard time taking your word for it. I hired Seattle Dash Cams to fix that, and Matt was awesome to work with. He was responsive, punctual, and very friendly. The installation looks incredibly professional and clean. Best of all, he comes to you! Having a mobile service like this is a game-changer. Highly recommend! read more

Came to me. Installed everything no wires to be seen. Did an outback and a Forester in about 3 hours. Very pleased with system. I went with the simple 229 front facing only. But my biggest thing was as I wanted a camera in case somebody ran a red light or ran somehow into the front of me, where it could be their word against mine. With how clean his work is I would probably ponder a rear-facing camera if I drove a lot. read more

This was a top tier experience! Matt's in-depth knowledge of all the products he sells as well as his thoughtful and honest answers to my questions helped me make a final decision on a dash cam. Matt is also prompt and professional. I really couldn't ask for a better experience. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Perfect in every way. From the emails back and forth to find out the perfect setup for me to the installation. Doing business with Matt was awesome. I mean what's better than having it installed in your driveway? read more

Great service from Matt, the owner. He is a very professional and friendly guy. Service was prompt and the job was very cleanly done. Book online, he comes to your house, open your car up, and step back. Soon, you've got functioning dash cams for a fair price. Great explanations of the gear and linking to your phone. He also has a YouTube channel with tips and instructions. Highly recommended! read more

Can't say enough good things about Matt. Prompt arrival, easy to work with, and he took all the time necessary to explain how our new dashcam works including quirks and gotchas. As promised, the wiring is invisible and he carefully positioned the cameras to keep them out of our field of vision when driving. He clearly takes pride in the quality of his work. This was well worth the installation fee. read more

An acquaintance recently was in a motor vehicle accident where it was her word versus the other driver's word whether she had a green light or the other driver did. This inspired me to buy two dash cams from Amazon on a Black Friday deal. I did some research and bought cameras and hard wire kits but then decided I wasn't up to the task of installing them myself. I found Matt and Seattle Dash Cams via Yelp and I'm glad I did! He is professional and really knows dash cams inside and out. He came out to our house and installed the cameras perfectly and took plenty of time to answer our questions about how they work. He walked us through setting them up so that they were ready to go and how to use the app. Hiring Matt was definitely worth the cost and the peace of mind of knowing the cameras are neatly and properly installed and working correctly. His price was reasonable and transparent, no hidden costs. He was done with both of our vehicles in about 2.5 hours. I'd whole-heartedly recommend his service to anyone. read more

I had a great experience with Matt of Seattle Dash Cams! Installing a dash cam had been on my mental to-do list for a while, but it seemed overwhelming. I had done enough research to pick one dash cam I was considering, and that tab was open on my computer for months while I procrastinated. Anyway, I came across Seattle Dash Cams in a Reddit post, read through the amazing reviews on google, and realized I could get everything done super easily. Matt is even a preferred vendor for Viofo (the camera I'd already been considering) and bundling the purchase with the install saved me some money. He was sold out of the memory card I chose and even upgraded me at no charge. On the install date he was communicative, efficient, and helped me download the app and showed me how to use everything. The camera install is very clean with hardly any visible wires, way better than I could have done if I'd tried it myself! Five stars, no notes. Will definitely be using Seattle Dash Cams again when we want to install one in our next car. Thank you! read more

Matt was an incredible communicator from my first inquiry via email all the way through the day of install. Such a pleasure to work with. We had systems installed on three vehicles. Everyone is pleased. Matt gave us an in person tutorial and gave us nice laminated cards for any future guidance we may need. He even reminded us to register for our warranty. Although we each hoped to never need the systems, it gives tremendous peace of mind knowing we have the cameras should anything happen ...we will have it documented. Thank you Matt! Great service. Exchanged emails, figured out what I wanted, he walked me through how it all works, then gave me a video tutorial because I'm gonna forget, and is happy to provide tech support if I need it. Good, quick work. Good peace of mind for Seattle traffic. read more

Matt was an absolute professional. He paid close attention to detail and installation was top notched, also quick with his work. He installed my front, rear, and interior cams for me and in less time than was estimated on my brand new 6th Gen 4Runner. I would highly recommend him if you want a clean dashcam install with a run down of instructions on how to use them. read more

Had Matt install front and rear dash cam for my car. Camera: VIOFO A329S 2CH, purchased from Seattle Dash Cams Car: 2025 NX 450h+ Can't beat the convenience of someone coming to you. He was thorough in explaining the camera functions. His YouTube was a great resource while I was making my decision on which camera to go with. He gave plenty of time for questions! He was right on time and was also very flexible and willing to work with you to figure out the best time. He completed the installation in 1.5 hrs just like he said! Very happy with his work. My previous car install experience was bit of disappointment so I am very happy to have found Seattle Dash Cams and will def be repeat customer if needed. Worth every penny! read more

Matt installed front and rear Viofo A229 Pro dash cams on my car a few weeks ago. It was an excellent experience, and the system is working great. The installation looks like it came with the car -- super clean and professional. He arrived on time, clearly explained the plan, asked for my preferences, and got to work. About two hours later, he walked me through everything he did and how the camera works. I got multiple quotes through Yelp. One was a bit cheaper, but I would've had to go to a shop that doesn't specialize in dash cams. Matt came to my home, made the whole process easy, and clearly knows his stuff. The convenience and quality were absolutely worth it. He even gave me velcro strips for my Good To Go Flex Pass -- such a thoughtful touch. Thanks for the velcro strips, Matt! Great communication, fair pricing, and top-notch service. I don't usually write reviews, but this one truly deserves it. read more

These guys are fine if you want to use the cameras they sell, but they're not the type of camera I want. They will not install other types of cameras except for the ones they sell. At least that is what I gathered. They refused to install my dash cam because it's the wrong kind. If you have a four channel dash cam then you may want to skip these guys. They don't appear to install those types. read more

Matt with Seattle Dash Cam was truly excellent to work with. He was incredibly responsive via email and even came out a week and a half early because he had a cancellation. He performed a very intricate and professional installation on my brand new 2026 4 Runner. He had to take the glass out of the back in order to properly mount the rear Dash Cam and you would never know because his work looks perfect. He also placed the front dash cam and wrapped the wires and tucked those wires so that they are invisible to see and are hooked it up to my car battery. I'm so glad I went with my instincts and hired Matt privately versus going through the Toyota dealership. Overall, I saved money choosing Matt with Seattle Dash Cam and I got a much superior camera. As a woman, I felt very comfortable having Matt work on my car. He was courteous, professional, on time and truly such a pleasure to work with. His work is the best I've ever seen. I wish he could go out to California and install Dash Cams on my mother's cars. That's how much I trust him. If you're wanting or needing a Dash Cam installed on your new car or an older car, Matt is your man. He is incredibly detailed, thorough, honest, and respectful. It's a no brainer, hire him ASAP. He does have a little bit of a wait time, but that's because he is so talented but again he even managed to come out early because he had a cancellation. I now feel very safe, driving knowing that I have a Dash Cam in case of any sort of accident, it keeps me protected and my car protected. I give Matt with Seattle Dash Cams five stars! You won't regret hiring him. read more

Came to my home to install a front and real camera in my 2023 Subaru Outback. Arrived on time and I met the installer in the parking lot. He recommended 2 installation positions for the front camera and let me select the one I liked. He showed me where the rear camera would go and asked for my approval. He knew exactly which trim panels to take off and how to do it so that all the wiring was completely hidden. Wiring from the back of the car followed the factory wiring and nothing was visible. It followed the channels behind the side curtain airbags to the front. Power connections were made to the main fuse block. He explained how the system worked and left me the instruction book and told me how to connect to an instruction video on U-Tube. I have always been a do-it-yourself car guy but it was worth it to have it installed correctly as though it was part of the OEM equipment. Very pleased. read more

Matt just finished installing my dash cam and that was such an easy experience! A few huge positives: 1) Matt comes to you so I was able to hang out in my house while he was installing the dash cam 2) He walks you through how to use the dash cam after install. 3) He has an info card for how to connect to the dash cam to leave in your car as a reference since it's not something you have to do often (this is such a thoughtful addition to his service - he clearly identified a common issue and put together a quick solve for his customers) 4) Easy pay options - credit card, google pay, or Apple Pay The whole experience was easy - from reaching out to schedule to the install itself. I had to reschedule at one point and Matt responded quickly to my email with other options to consider. Matt is professional, organized, and thorough. I'm relieved that I didn't have to watch YouTube videos to figure out how to do this myself and it was done in about an hour and half. I'd definitely recommend using Seattle Dash Cams - 100% worth it. read more

Matt is a legend. Super crisp communicator, and his work is first class. Highly recommend!

I chose Seattle Dash Cams because of all the good reviews and I'm so glad I did! I realize that all 5 star reviews looks fake, but he earned this review. Matt answered when I called, sent a reminder the day before the install, and showed up when promised. He installed the camera in my wife's 2025 Mini and it looks like it was done when the car was built. He took note of where the air bags were to assure that he didn't interfere with the vehicle safety features and that the camera wasn't ripped out if the air bags deployed. I can't find any negatives about the work he did. His time estimate was spot on. His price quote was to the penny. Matt showed my wife how to use the camera and the app. He was patient and extremely knowledgeable. I called places like Car Toys first. The prices were about the same. But honestly, after seeing his work and the service that he provided, I definitely made the right choice to hire Matt. One final thought.... He didn't ask for a review. Instead he gave us his number in case we had questions. I couldn't be happier! read more

Matt was amazing and made the whole process easy. His communication was great and scheduling was super easy. I did a decent amount of research on cameras and installation, but after finding Seattle Dash Cams I bailed on the whole DIY plan because the products and services provided were well worth it. What would have taken me many hours, trial and error, etc. for a little savings compared to what ended up being a 90min quality install and setup from Matt was just a no brainer. He came to my work office, did the complete install and just made it so easy. I was thrilled with the results and insight he provided, as well. Highly recommend! read more

WOW!! You will never be disappointed with Seattle Dash Cams! Matt was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He did an amazing job that we never thought possible to look that clean. Matt had answers to all our questions and knew more answers than we could get through the actual dash cam company we ordered from. Walked me all the way through how to set up every single item, explained things easily, then made sure I knew how everything worked. I needed a second fuse holder that didn't come in my kit and Matt had one on him and provided it. HIGHLY recommend to everyone! I didn't have to take my car and wait for hours at a shop - he came to us. Totally worth hiring a professional like Matt. read more

Matt did a phenomenal job installing a BlackVue DR970X Plus 2-CH Dash Cam in my Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe. Seattle Dash Cam came as a referral from our son-in-laws friend. Couldn't have been a better recommendation. Matt is truly a great communicator and very easy to work with. Received a dash cam for Christmas but wasn't sure if compatible with truck. Asked Matt when scheduling appt to bring other cams that may be better. Was informed that my original was more than adequate for my needs and didn't try to sell me anything else. Highly recommend him and his services to anyone. read more

Yes another 5 star review and Mat deserves every one of them! On time, great installation on the dash camera. The installation he soldered any wire connections and did not use butt connections. Mat walked me through the operation of the camera after the installation. I've tried to write this a few times and no matter what I write it falls short of the praise I'm attempting to heap onto Matt at Seattle Dash Cams so here goes anyway. TL;DR: If you're on the fence, take the plunge! Getting a quote was a really easy and fast process. Communications with Matt were always timely and helpful. The pricing was super fair and the work is impeccable. Pro tip: skip buying the camera elsewhere and get everything from Matt for the best deal. My wife and I picked up our 3 channel camera on a Black Friday deal but the months went with everything still in the box. With 2 little ones at home it was seeming like any attempt to follow a YouTube video to install this just wasn't going to happen. I had even considered using it without the hardwire kit just to get it in the car until I could dedicate some time to hardwiring it myself. At a certain point I decided to do a quick google search for dash cam installation, just to see, and found Seattle Dash Cams. Everything I saw on the site sounded good and the fact that I could have the install completed at my location meant I didn't have to carve out time to have this done at a shop while I waited around. That alone, combined with a fair quote and the hardwire kit costing less from Matt than Amazon, sealed the deal for me. It also meant that it would be done right, the first time, without me having to fumble my way through installing it. The icing on the cake was Matt himself. He's professional, enthusiastic, respectful, knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. Just an all around nice guy. I will absolutely refer anyone looking for a dash cam and/or installation to Matt and Seattle Dash Cams! Thanks for everything, Matt! read more

Matt at Seattle Dash Cams was great! Very communicative and friendly, both initially before deciding who to hire, and afterwards until the install date and in person. The installation turned out very clean and was done in about 90 minutes. Matt arrived early (he comes to your location, making it really easy to schedule) and was ready to start on time, and then gave me a complete walkthrough of how to use the phone app once he was finished. Overall, I'm very happy with the service and highly recommend them for your dash cam install. Thanks! read more

Installation was extremely professional and all wires were completely hidden except at the connection point to the device. The fact that my vehicle was a Targa (eg a convertible where the rear window moves) presented special challenges for installing the rear camera -- Matt was able to address it via a creative positioning of the rear camera with a customized back rack to keep the installation clean. Additionally Matt was kind to install my radar detector while he was installing the dash cams. Lastly but most importantly, I am very particular with how the installation is done on my car, and Matt was willing to let me watch his installation and discuss solutions during the install which was very rare but showcases his transparency and quality of work. read more
