I have used this company several times over the years. Each time they do an amazing job, and I always call them back for more work. I own a commercial facility, a marijuana retail store, and we have had severe problems with break-ins. Installing bars, or a rollup gate, is not practical or cost-effective for us. We chose to reinforce our windows with security film so we could have better security for our facility. Tim is a craftsman at his trade. From what I can see, there is definitely some artistry involved. Tim is a master. Every time the film is on perfect. And it does a good job of stopping intruders from Breaking through a window. Tim also went above and beyond our request and reinforced the edges with silicone so that the entire pane could not be punched through. The end result is a significant enhancement to our buildings security. I would recommend this company to anyone. I'm sure they're great for automotive. And most definitely in applying security film to reinforce windows against break-ins. These guys are great. read more

I'm at about 10 months of having 3M Color Stable tint installed by Emerald City Window Tinting. I went with 20% on the front windows and 5% on the rest. I initially got my tinting done about a month earlier by a competitor down in Renton (who I will not name) that did such a terrible job. The tinting peeled within two weeks (I followed all care instructions), and the service was awful. Instead of going back to that place, I decided to to my research, most of it pointing to Emerald City. I was hesitant at first, but Tim assuaged my fears. I'm really impressed, they did an amazing job. I haven't been able to locate a single bubble 11 months later. I will definitely return here to meet my future tinting needs. read more

ECWT is a hidden gem in the heart of Seattle. Ha ha ha ha. Did you see what I did there? Gem. Setting the appointment was easy, but it is a small shop so call well in advance of when you'd like to get work done. The business is a bit hard to find coming in from Roy. If you are coming in off of Aurora, then it is much easier to see because it is on the corner of Aurora and Roy, but you have to be travelling in the southbound direction. I also appreciate the expert and honest consulting. All tinting options were presented to me along with the risks and benefits of each. I think that I ended up going a little bit too dark, but there are plenty of legal options to select from. ECWT pricing is very competitive in Seattle. The tinting work on my windows was done by Chris. He also assisted with the consult. I am very pleased with the finished product. I watched him for a little while, and I could tell that he takes pride in his work. There are no wonky edges or bubbles. This tint job is clean. Overall I'm very satisfied with ECWT and I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family. read more

I contacted them a few months ago to request a quote to remove the tint on the driver and passenger windows of my 2004 Tacoma extended cab and apply new tint and they responded quickly with a competitive quote. I scheduled the work, dropped my truck off and picked it up at the end of the day and have had no complaints. I scheduled another job a month later to have them tint the canopy on the back of my Tacoma and again they did a great job.
