I was there Thursday Feb 1st briefly as well as today because I'm starting a new tank. I'm from Arizona and hadn't been here for a while, but just moved back to the area and setting up the tank. One of the display tanks at Seattle Corals was nice. I asked an employee how many gallons it was and he was dismissive and mumbled "I don't know like 200 or something" while walking away from me. Outside that display tank there really weren't any nice pieces. A few larger pieces were nice but the prices were $500-$1000. Managed to find better corals at Saltwater City. Probably won't return to Seattle Corals/Sea King. read more

The prices are much higher than other local fish stores (Saltwater City and Barrier), the corals are not as vibrant as you'd find other places, and the tanks are not as clean. They took over Sea King Aquariums which was much more exciting to go to by contrast. I found this shop through an Ad posted on Craigslist as they were having promotions on corals. I've shopped here a few times since for both corals and fish. From what I've learned is this is a relatively new business owned by Nima, who is very knowledgeable and accommodating. My favorite thing about this shop is that he offers a punch card, for every $500 spent you get 100 credits to use. I highly reccommend this shop and will defining be returning again. read more

Horrible website. Beware! Their system cancelled my $399 order for whatever reason, instantly. Maybe because shipping/ billing address was different. Then I tried again with same, but different card because the $399 wasn't back on my card yet. The order was still cancelled, later in the day. I am now out $800 here on day 2 because their debits actually posted, instead of falling off, and there is no refund in sight and they haven't answered emails and don't even email to say why orders were cancelled. I think I'll be without my money for a week, or months if I have to do a chargeback. Horrible company read more

Okay selection with some exotic fish. Came in here and got palythoas and grab bags. The corals didn't look good in the grab bags and all were clearly dead before acclimation. The palythoa died shortly after acclimation. I checked my water just in case, I knew it wouldn't be the problem seeing as I have healthy corals such as Duncan corals, a paly garden, nepthea, and more, with a variety of thriving fish. Water was fine, PH 8.3, Nitrate and Nitrate at perfect levels, and no ammonia detected according to my api test kit. I had to put the corals in a quarantine tank right away, too scared to dip them seeing how bad they are. I wasted over $55 on corals. Tried to get refund, not compliment and blamed it on me. I was hoping to get at least a partial refund on them but no. I hate to leave a 1 star review, but it's needed. read more

As a former salt water store owner and having worked at some of the top coral shops in San Diego I can attest my experience today at Seattle Corals was nothing but amazing and brought back a flood of memories and happiness I missed and love about the salt water hobby. Even though I only picked up a couple of corals and clean up crew everything impressed me with the eagerness to eat and amazing coloration. Amazing new store for the salt water aquarist. They have a huge variety of corals starting at $10 (their $10 frags are actually frags with multiple polyps, not just the basic beginner only pieces you'll see at most shops). Their pricing across the board is likely the best I've ever seen in a retail setting and if you're a true saltwater aquarium enthusiast, then you'll appreciate that as much as I do.
