I had my car shipped from Seattle, WA to Washington, DC and was referred to Global Auto Transport when I called Seattle Car Shipping. "Rudy" was who always answered the phone. He was extremely patient with me calling him many times about the logistics, deposit and payment, etc. because I'd not shipped a car before. Pickup of my car happened within the 72 hour time window I was given, and delivery actually happened on the shorter end of the estimated time. I had packed a number of boxes into the car very neatly (sight lines were clear for the driver) and GAT didn't give me any hassle about extra weight in the car (although I was afraid I had gone beyond the 100lb. allowance). Car arrived in good shape, although I wish they had put down a paper protector on the driver's side floor mat - it was very muddy. D.C. has rules about big truck haulers on city streets so my car was transferred to a single-car flatbed for delivery at no extra charge. I contacted Seattle Car Shipping (SCS) and was connected to Anthony of Global Auto Transportation, I believe one of the owners of the Seattle site. I was very pleased with his communication, and he didn't seem to be annoyed by the endless amount of questions that I had for him. I had never had my car shipped, so I was nervous and I was told so many different things by many places, but something about Anthony kept me calm, and I trusted the reviews on Yelp for SCS. I liked the quote Anthony gave me, and how calm and sure he was of their business. He also replied through email very quickly. There is a direct deposit, and it was reasonable and taken out immediately. I also kept in touch with a very nice lady named Elina C. She was a logistics coordinator and clarified that I'd need to stay in contact with a driver named Igor of Vyrado Logistics in Puyallup. Again, I was a little confused in this whole process being new to this business, but Elina reassured me that nerves are normal and that they'd ship my car in about five days. I was shocked because every other place said that it'd take about 7-10 days, and one place even said two to six weeks, which is odd if they can drive hundreds of miles a day, and Detroit is about 2300 miles. The funny thing is that the ones who said it'd take longer said it'd be safer, but it was more expensive and it'd take longer than what GAT said. I kept in touch with Igor, he was nice to allow me to put a lot in my 2010 Civic (more than the usual amount with no extra fee), took pictures, gave me electronic forms to keep, and then he was off with my car on the carrier. It's nice that they do business door to door. He was also accurate with the times he gave me on pickup, and kept in touch well through phone. He let me know I could pay after he dropped off the car, and that cash was preferable. I forgot that GAT said that the carrier who comes decides what amount I need to pay in, so I called GAT right away and told them I was confused why I needed to pay in cash? They reminded me that again, it's up to carrier, and Igor was flexible also mentioning I could pay cashier's check, money order, or credit card but it'd be an extra 5% by card. I told him I'd have the cash ready. I just received my car about an hour ago, and we are all surprised at how it got here in a timely manner, just five days! It took a little bit just because he had to take the cars off to get my car down safely, but I'd rather have him do it in his own time and well, instead of rush and risk damage. He was very careful with the other cars too, and told me I could wait inside because it was chilly out here. After he was done putting the other cars back, I thanked Igor, and I am overall very pleased with GAT. Companies always provide excuses for the negative reviews, such as those reviews may be written by their competitors, etc... Let's me tell you this. I found Seattle Car Shipping has an amazing reviews and rating. When I call the no. listed on Yelp, somehow it connected me to Global Auto Transportation. I spoke with Anthony, who repeatedly said his company has lots of drivers, and they are not brokers. However, I don't really care whether or not this company is broker or direct shipping company. I shipped my car from Seattle WA to Lawrenceville GA. The day my car was delivered, I noticed there are several new scratches. I asked the driver how he gonna resolve this. He told me to contact Global Auto Transportation. Fine, I called Anthony several times, he did not pick up the phone. The driver then asked for money in full. The point is, if I paid him in full, who gonna responsible for these scratches. This Russian driver drove my car back to his truck without my permission. I quickly called 911 since this is my property. I recorded a video as he drove my car load back to the truck. He opened my car door and started attacking me. Wow, really? As usual reaction, I stepped back to avoid. Unfortunately, I stopped the video to call back 911 to arrive ASAP. When the police came, the police said my video was not enough to prove the driver's attack. One hr later, I called Global Auto Transportation & spoke to Anthony. I did not really concern about the scratches anymore; rather, it was about the driver attitude. Anthony thought I concerned about the scratches and said, I needed to deal with the driver. The driver had his own insurance. Wow, I even had no idea who these guys were, since the pick-up guy and the delivery guys were 2 different persons. I had no contract with them except the phone no. Wow, is that the way your company do business? Luckily, my car had just a few minor scratches. What if it was a significant damage? Who will be responsible? The drivers? who I only had his phone? Initially I was highly impressed with this business. They were very responsive, even over the weekend, and gave a highly competitive quote. I locked in a two day window and specified that the car must be picked up by the end of the second day. I was told I would be contacted by the driver 24-48 hours before pick-up. Mid-day on day one I called to check in and was told a driver was confirmed and would contact me soon. I called again at 3:30 pm and was told that the representative I was working with was unavailable, a driver was indeed confirmed, but the scheduling department had gone home early so they could not provide additional details. I called back at 9:30 the next morning after still not hearing anything and not get a response from the prior day's e-mail to my representative. I was told that a driver was assigned but had rejected the job and they were not able to find anyone else. No apology was made. When I asked when they had planned to inform me that my car was not going to be picked up, they responded with a very rude attitude and explained that they had only been in the office for 30 minutes and seemed bothered by my quesiton. Pros: This service saved me a huge amount of time and money as otherwise I would have needed to take time off work to drive the car to California and then fly back to Washington which would have cost me much more than I paid them. Price was fair, there was no surprise surcharges not mentioned in the car shipping quote. Cons: They arranged for picking up my car on 6/18 but the actual pickup happened on 6/22. It was important to know where my car was but I could hardly reach the driver who actually had the car. It came undamaged but so dirty, the car looked like it had been 4-wheeling. I send out many requests for transporting my 2015 Toyota Camry. Most auto transport companies did not want to go where I was, saying it's not a regular route for them, and they will pay extra to the driver to come and pick my car up, another alternative was that I could take my car 100 miles away to meet the driver, which was impossible since car was not running. Some offered lower bids but then told me it could go higher, a lot of bids were higher than Seattle Car shipping, it was in the middle, but liked their insurance coverage and stayed with its bid. Nick was easy to work with, he quickly put my request on the board and by 2 pm the car transport was scheduled for the price Nick had quoted to me. The trucker was scheduled for the pickup for Tuesday. Nick called me Monday afternoon to inform me of the pickup time. Tuesday morning the driver called at 9 am to let me know they would be there at noon, they were there at 11:30 ! But honestly, I spent about 30 minutes to explain the exact place of my house (the only down side of my experience). They had all necessary tools for loading my car, process took about 45 minutes. The driver told me to inspect my vehicle and to check what I had inside to make sure everything was there. The process happened exactly like Nick said it would. The car was received in the exact condition it was picked up. Not a scratch. My driver actually arrived an hour earlier but waited until the time he said we were to meet, before he called me to meet up. How many drivers would do that? I am very happy I went with you guys. He promised to do his best to schedule the shipment on the days I requested. I asked to pick up the car on Monday or Tuesday at the latest with the delivery date of Friday or Saturday. But what happened next? The driver called me Monday morning saying the pickup would happen on Thursday. Seriously??? The cars were picked up the next morning before our flight to Seattle and delivered in 3 days. The driver had to park a block away, because of the size of his truck. Everyone was so friendly in their office, and they offered good insurance coverage which mattered a lot. It was a brand new car and I wanted to be sure I was covered if anything may have happened to it during the commute. I was offered two options, open carrier transport and enclosed car shipping. I chose enclosed just because it's a newer car and even though it was $300 more than the other it deserves the best transport option available. The driver's name was Jack and he was the nicest guy ever. He picked up my vehicle while I was in route to catch my flight back to Bremerton. My cousin was there to greet him. The car arrived in my city on the correct day and time that I specified during my arrangement with their customer service team. My car arrived clean with no scratches. The only thing I didn't like was that I had to drive about 10 miles to pick my car up, only because the truck was so big it couldn't fit on my street. But, that worked for me ok. If you compare that minor inconvenience to what other people have to go thru with services like this such as; stolen property, late deliveries and damages to their vehicle. There are many carriers in Seattle and you will likely receive a fair number of bids. I ended up choosing this company based on their reputation and I am very happy I did. Needed to ship my Audi Q7 from Seattle to Miami. They have the best pricing, but will try to tell you you need to pay more for an enclosed carrier, a few hundred more than for open carrier. Trucker and office workers communicated very well and picked up car with no problems. Driver was a cool guy, he did an excellent job. I was hoping for the car to arrive early in Miami, but it was in the state on the day promised yesterday. Unfortunately, the driver called and said the truck had some problems on its road, and was going to delay 2 more days. So I called them to see what's going on, and when could I get my vehicle back, if the trucker was not able to solve the problem needed to ask them to arrange another driver for me, instead they offered me to have the driver to drive the car to my house since its was 65 miles only. I agreed to have the trucker to drive my car the rest of the way. Car came undamaged. They were able to accommodate me and everything worked out great. read more

Had to move one of my vehicles from Chehalis, WA to Buffalo, NY recently and since auto transport services are not cheap and since it was a first time for me I started calling and checking prices a couple of weeks prior to the move. My first surprise was the huge difference in the bids I got. They varied from about $650 to $2,000. Ultimately, though, I selected the auto transport company based on Yelp reviews. Initially I talked to Arthur but the next time I called Elena answered and they worked together to confirm the final price, set up the pickup and drop off dates, and keep me informed as to status as my vehicle was being moved. I had been told that the nature of the auto transport business is such that it's difficult for movers to guarantee exact pickup and drop off dates but I wasn't on a strict schedule. The promised pickup date was a Monday but later appended to the next morning. Delivery was on the exact day and time promised though and Arthur and Elena kept me well informed. My only complaint was that I kept getting put on hold when I called but that's probably because summer is their busy time. Overall, though, I was satisfied with Seattle Car Shipping and can understand that most the issues I had (i.e. like being put on hold) are pretty much the nature of the industry and not their fault. read more

I've used many other carriers prior to them and their work was exceptionally better (and I am pretty demanding when it comes to judging customer service). Arthur was my main point of contact there. He was able to get my vehicle picked up when other companies were too busy. From my experience with other companies it often takes two to three days of advance notice. I went online and requested quotes on different car carriers in Washington; within 15-20 minutes my email and phone were flooded with quotes from multiple auto transport companies. The quotes varied greatly as low as $950 and as high as $1450. The quote I received from Seattle Car Shipping was for $1150. Elena told me that it would take about 4 days from pickup for the vehicle to be shipped. This was all decided by May 1st. Because I was already going to be in the delivery location on the pickup date, a friend of mine in Marysville was going to be the one to meet the driver at the pickup location and do the initial pickup inspection and hand over the keys. I sent her contact information to Elena via email as well as a request to confirm that pickup would be on May 4th. Elena then asked me for my credit card information so they could charge this initial deposit. She assured me that no charge would be made until the vehicle was picked up. She held to her promise. However, the driver was late about three hours. I called her to see what was going on because my friend was at home waiting for the driver. They said that delays happen frequently in this industry. I told her that based on the online reviews this is not how I expected the shipping to have gone. She assured me that she was working on it and she did fix the issue. She assigned another driver and canceled the previous one. The driver was at the pickup location at 1 p.m. and my friend said that everything went smoothly. Delivery was right on the time promised and the car arrive unblemished. I will definitely be using this auto transport company again. Thanks Elena. He promised to be there in the morning but didn't arrive until closer to the afternoon. It was very frustrating but a little expected due to other reviews I read about the struggles in this industry. However, this issue was minor considering I was supposed to have the car delivered 5 days earlier. I received a call on the expected delivery day saying there was mechanical issues and I was to expect a delay. I didn't expect a 5 day delay but what can you do. When I finally received the car, it was in good condition but had a nice layer of dirt. Not a big issue but a little on the annoying side.
