TRIP #2...So this morning I went to the AutoZone where the item was purchased to exchange it but there were none left on the shelves. The employee informed me that possibly on Tuesday or Wednesday a shipment arrives at the store. I told him I would come back on Wednesday. Today, I still needed to complete the shine on the rest of my tires. As I was shining the next tire, the entire piece of foam dismantled from the plastic handle. TRIP #3...Again, I drove back to the AutoZone to show them the faulty damaged item and get a refund. The employee informed me that the manager that can approve the refund on my credit card does not work on Sundays and will be in the store tomorrow - Monday. They said that I could leave the item and the receipt with my name and phone number and the manager would call me about the refund tomorrow. I was not satisfied with that option and told him I would return tomorrow with the item and receipt to speak with the manager. I will update/edit the review with my results tomorrow - wish me luck. I understand this is a brand new store with friendly staff and a great location, but something needs to be in place for a simple damaged item return - At this point, Amazon would have been easier and quicker. TRIP #4...Im back again, to meet with the manager, Bosun, who was super friendly and professional. I explained the item return facade over the last two days at his store. Bosun informed me that even though this is a brand new AutoZone store, the return policy is a simple quick process whether its a credit card transaction or not and the manager does NOT have to be present. Bosun shook my hand and apologized for any inconvenience. Literally, the return/refund took one painless minute and during that time my friend purchased two items. Due to the manager's professionalism, I will keep my original 4 star review in tact, but with need to find another tire shine applicator on Amazon.

Then, there are places, but not many of them, like Bennett Auto Supply on North Dixie Highway which is clean, neat, orderly, well organized, has just about everything you may ever need. Matter of fact, I buy items for my boat as those items are often the same but less than half the price charged by the marinas or marine supply outlets. The best part of this store however is, and the reason I'm a Four Star fan, is their customer service. Every time I've ever been in here, and I've been here a lot, they have always had time for me, have always been helpful and have always been able to provide me with knowledgeable as well as competent advice.

I thought my previous battery was still under warranty at Pep Boys, but evidently it expired. I was shocked, but then again not shocked, that Pep Boys tried to make me buy a battery for $200! (Maybe because I'm a woman?) I said "no way", I'll go to the auto parts store! The gentleman were very nice & even gave me a discount. They installed it for me which took all of maybe 15 minutes.
