These guys are the absolute best. Honest work at fair prices, and they don't do work that isn't needed. When they can't fix something, they'll refer you to someone who can, and I trust those recommendations. They've saved me money time and time again after a dealership suggested something needed fixing that didn't. One time, I was in there and a guy was arguing (good-naturedly) with Tom, insisting that he pay for some work that Mad Hatters had done. Tom was insisting that he not pay, because the work wasn't quite right or something. How often do you see a customer insisting to pay for something, and a business insisting the customer NOT pay? HORRIBLE SERVICE AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS VIAL MECHANIC SHOP... DONT TRUST THEM !!!!!! Me and my dad been going to this mechanic about 4 years and we were always there good paying supporting customers and we always trusted them to the fullest and never thought they would do something bad In purpose to our cars, they always did a good job until a couple weeks ago !! My 2013 dodge avenger was giving a lot of problems and we knew the parts in the car before we took it over to them. Hours after there repair on my car, the car started stalling and shaking in the middle of a busy highway which was very scary for me because I had a long drive to my partners house gladly I made it safe. But when me and my dad checked inside the hood of the car there was a whole bunch of old and used up very brittle and used up junk looking parts that were falling APART that looked like they found it INSIDE a ( trailer trash house ) !!!!!! Then when my dad got there to complain to them. They said they don't know what he's talking about. And charged us $390 to fix something they did !! They then lowered the price to $150. Just got into Fla last night , realized I had a problem w a wheel shield on front drivers side. Went to a place near me, the owner was too busy to help. I asked for a recommendation , he sent me to mad hatters. After a short wait he took my car to lift, came back gave me my keys. Said take care no charge....wanted to buy coffee for the guys owner insisted on me giving it to the mechanic who reattached the shield. Great staff professional crew. They "USED" to be excellent with their work. Well I needed a new catalytic converter, they put a cheapy peace of junk in and I was still getting P102 codes. So they replaced both of the O2 sensors (good quality Denso Sensors), still the same code. Then they added a anti fouler for a spark plug (trick for bypassing Catalytics and not legal) on the rear O2 sensor, it helped but the P102 code still would show up. After $500.00+ and 3 seperate service calls, you would think a place that specializes in emissions and exhausts could figure this out. After 50,000 miles and tired of repeatedly having to go back and waste time throw more money at the problem cause they don't know how to test O2 Sensors with a voltmeter I took it on myself. The cheap Catalytic was already pouring the catalyst out of the muffler side as soon as I stood it on it's end. Bought a Walker Catalytic which was had 2X the amount of catalyst by the size of the can for $230.00. When U pulled off the cheap crap Mad Hatter installed guess what, the front and rear gaskets were no where to be found and the flanges closest to the engine's mating surfaces were all white to their very ends = exhaust leak. Cheap parts, and 1/2 A$$ed work..... Used to be a great place and trustworthy. For me not any more. read more

They fixed my exhaust rubbing issues while adding an X pipe and new mufflers and the welds are quality. This place has honest people that do great work for a fair price. Mad Hatter Mufflers did a great job finding me the right muffler solution for my V8 KIA...Yes V8 KIA! Steve, Tom and the tall older big guy (didn't catch his name) did an awesome job suggesting the right combination of pipes, the installation & best of all at a great price, something that I have never experienced with other muffler shops that I've been to in the past. They're pretty busy because of the great service they provide and the many repairs they can do so if you need them, make sure you call ahead or try to get there as early as possible, and if you can't wait you're more than welcome to drop it off and pick up later. While I was in the lobby watching folks come into the shop they turned away just one job during my time waiting...they don't replace windshields, but they were ready with a reference in hand to do the job and helped the customer none the less. 2 thumbs up to Mad Hatter!! This is an UNSOLICITED REVIEW: I have a late model Range Rover, HSE P525, Super Charged, and I called Tom the owner of MHM, to see about a different exhaust system that would give it a little more growl with minimal droning inside. He told me to bring it by and they would look at it. Steve the exhaust expert advised me of several options and suggested first try deleting the mufflers. Within ten minutes he removed the mufflers and had me listen to it and the sound note was perfect, not loud on the outside with a little more growl and on the inside the sound was great. The welded joints were straight and completely covered the connections like factory. Tom and Steve are professional, down to earth and were great to work with and they did not try to sell me an expensive exhaust system, in fact this option was the cheapest. If you want a shop that is knowledgeable and explains all your options and does EXCELLENT WORK for a very fair price I highly recommend MAD HATTER MUFFLERS. Thanks again guys, CHEERS! read more

My second great experience with Mad Hatter, cleaning up someone else's errors. Had my struts replaced by a mechanic I know and trust...his alignment shop could not get the car aligned correctly. Took it to another shop that I trust, and they couldn't get it right either. Mad Hatter's alignment guy, Rob, figured out quickly that the strut caps had been assembled incorrectly. I haven't been in the store for about five years, as my car was a company car. But I recently bought a Mustang and had new mufflers put on it, and took it in to Mad Hatter for an oil change today. These guys could not have been nicer. they charge me an unbelievably reasonable rate, I brought my own stuff with me because I thought I was going to do it myself , but I just don't have the body or stamina anymore at 74 to do it myself. After walking out of Midas in disgust due to their obnoxious political statements they post in the lobby I called Mad Hatter and found the perfect shop for my muffler work. Parts for my Jeep can be tough to get with the supply chain disruptions but Tom and one of his mechanics came up with a solution at a very fair price and really quick service. I've started using them for all my repairs now. I'm so tired of not getting things done right the first time at my old place. I have an older car and when things go wrong I quickly take it in. First time my car was shaking, ended up being an ignition coil repair. Second time, I had loud road noise start and it ended up being a bad wheel bearing. I read another bad review about them with a Mercedes and a catalytic converter. My Merc had a rattle from underneath. Mechanic told me he thought he could fix it by removing the catalytic converter for $80. OK sounded good. He failed to tell me that there were sensors to the converter and it is a very complicated car. He completed the extraction and didn't offer me the converter back like he was supposed to. He kept it. The repair didn't fix the problem and now I have a code to deal with. I have no converter to reinstall. I saw the news reports about thefts of converters and the repairs cost as much as $3,000. The resale on converters is very high. So where the hell is my converter? Wrote to them with no response. Very suspicious activity here. Doing a repair that didn't work, failing to tell me of all the pitfalls and keeping a valuable car part. You be the judge. read more

My brake light started coming on after a dash replacement. I thought there may be a short as I had extensive brake work done prior to the dash replacement. I called & brought my truck in & they immediately popped the hood & turned out I only needed fluid. I was told no charge & if the light does come on again to bring her back.
