So glad I came across this little place - only wish I did sooner! A hidden gem! Very small inside, but a significant menu with very reasonable prices. They offer a plethora of breakfast opinions (breakfast sandwiches, wraps, platters, bowls etc), lots of salad choices, a long list of creative sandwiches and even burgers and burritos. Many healthy items - gluten free, low fat, no carb options. They have an amazing low fat Waldorf chicken salad! Everything is made fresh to order too! Reasonable substitutions are fine, which is nice. Good coffee! I love eating here, you feel like you're in Moms kitchen having breakfast. The service is so friendly and they genuinely care about their customers and the quality of food. They offer take out and uber eats as well, if it's too busy to sit or you're on the run. It's unique to have menu options that you can order half sizes... a half salad or half sandwich, is great if you just want a small bite. Since this place is very small and right along a narrow street, I was really worried if there's no parking spot. We luckily got one because we were early. What a wonderful find. The welcome from the people who work here was quite lovely...nothing was too much trouble. Work in Stamford and we sometimes order and pick-up lunch meals from Seasons. They have really great creative sandwiches, salads and soups.

Despite having decent chili and food in general, I am appalled by their ill groomed chef, who stumbles and ambles to and fro, in and out of the kitchen, with never once washing his hands. I stand there in disbelief while this creature walks back behind the counter to grab, with his bare hands, piles of lettuce, chicken, and croutons for a salad. After he wipes the sweat from his brow, he reaches down and I watch him grab and then shake as the croutons stick to his gross clammy hands and fall down gracefully into my salad. If you don't believe me, go there for yourself. If you do, bring some gloves for the staff. read more

Good quality food at relatively high prices matched with a sometimes overly imaginative chef equals a decent deli. I'd been looking for a great lunch spot in Stamford for a while when I was told about Katie's. It sounded just right--high quality, healthy and gourmet (though not too gourmet). But so far I have yet to be wowed by anything but their Cuban sandwich and their combo deal. They make soups fresh daily but unfortunately they seem to try too hard in that department. Would it kill them to have an old standby in the soup lineup? When I am faced between the choice of sausage gumbo, mexican tortilla and creamy turkey (clearly, a leftover) I go elsewhere. The sandwiches are ok but sometimes they just sound better than they end up tasting. Like, for example their tuna sandwich with sprouts and avocado; the avocado is treated more as a light spread than anything. Major let down. Salads are just thrown together and are hit or miss (miss as in the time I got a bad cherry tomato in my salad, hit when I tried their spinach salad). The staff is great. They are always friendly and attentive. Unfortunately that can be overshadowed by the chaos behind the counter. In the end, this place is far and above better than any sandwich shop in town but there are just a few things I wish they would improve. read more

Famous Lobster Chowder? Try FAKE lobster chowder. It's obviously made with that imitation crab meat, which is akin to wetsuit material. Katie's has my favorite diner breakfast in Stamford, and I've tried almost all of them. I have not tried their lunch. I don't usually consider a restaurant's atmosphere unless it is a problem, but in this case katie's has something special. The place is bright, immaculate, and they usually play classical music in the morning. They also have the best homefries I've ever had: well worth getting as a side with whatever else you order. And this is do-able too, because unlike so many other breakfast options, the portions are reasonable. Prices are reasonable too, usually around $20 for two with tax and tip. read more

For the amount of people working in the area, downtown Stamford has a surprising lack of good delis. Seasons is the best of those pretty slim pickings and certainly a solid lunch spot, but nothing to go out of your way for. If I could have awarded half a star, I think this is solidly right between 3 and 4 stars. The place has a relaxed feel inside and the line generally moves pretty fast as it's mostly regulars, who have a good idea of what they want when they walk in. The staff is also very friendly when you order. The food is consistently good, never great. It's certainly not on par with a place like A&S in Fairfield or the delis around where I live in the Bronx but I almost never walk out disappointed with the food I got. They have a rotating menu of daily specials and soups as well as a pretty substantial menus of regular options. Pricing is a little on the high side for what you get but it's downtown Stamford and I guess that is to be expected. Definitely part of my repertoire but I'd be lying if I said I was ever truly craving anything from Seasons. read more

Best kept secret in Stamford! Love to sneak in this place for weekend brunch or afternoon snack. I give seasons five stars because they are excellent at what they do and they are hands-down the best lunch spot in downtown Stamford. The price complaints are accurate - a sandwich, can of soda, and chips will be over $11. It's a lot, but the food is very fresh and very good. I had one just okay experience here and decided to give it another shot - bad idea! I ordered the CA sandwich which is supposed to have avocado - there is literally NO avocado and it is so bland.
