We stopped in (had eaten there before) and prepared ourselves for a sure to be delicious meal. They have a fun frequently changing menu of small, medium and large plates so you can choose your own foodie adventure. If you want to sit at the bar you get a great view of the chefs at work preparing your meal. If you want a cozier experience, sit in the comfortable seating in the rear of the restaurant. Our server was very attentive but chill and knowledgeable. We got the Utica greens to share as an appetizer, a cocktail and Mad Max local beer, then a burger with hand cut fries and a chicken stuffed poblano. Dessert was a passion fruit chocolate tart which we took to go. If you're looking for well crafted food with a creative twist, this place is a great choice. North country friendly and approachable with a sophisticated set of offerings. Some really unique cocktails too. Not a boring thing on the menu.

Service was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Taylor was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Everything is made fresh daily, and if you sit at the Chef's Counter, you'll see it first hand. You'll also get great descriptions of everything from the awesome Chefs and maybe get to try something extra too. I recommend using the reservation system on their website and specify your seating preferences. You can choose from the Chef's Counter, the bar, a high-top table, a low table, or an outdoor table (weather permitting). We also appreciated them asking about food allergies on the reservation system too and they verified it when we arrived. We were so impressed with the unique menu options that are offered in the appetizers, small shareable plates, main courses, desserts, and drinks. We are already planning on coming back Sunday for brunch and know we'll be back again soon for dinner.

We chose Morgan & Company to celebrate our wedding anniversary after I specifically requested a…read moregift certificate to dine there because I had been looking forward to the experience. Sadly, it ended up ruining what should have been a special evening. I began with the French onion soup. The menu described it as being served with a crouton, but what arrived was two large pieces of bread with only the thinnest drizzle of melted cheese. Anyone who enjoys classic French onion soup knows the hallmark of the dish is a generous blanket of bubbling cheese, with the bread hidden underneath. I politely mentioned this to our server, who took it back to the kitchen. What came back was astonishing. Instead of remaking the soup properly, the kitchen simply added two more pieces of bread--for a total of four slices--and again barely covered them with cheese. At that point I declined the manager's offer to make it a third time. After seeing what the kitchen considered an acceptable correction, I had completely lost confidence. For my entrée, I ordered the coconut shrimp and added the glazed spare ribs. Unfortunately, both were overwhelmed by an extremely sweet, thick, sticky glaze. The coconut shrimp themselves may have been very good had the sauce been served on the side so diners could decide how much to use. Instead, every bite was drenched in sweetness. The ribs had virtually the same heavy glaze, and even the green beans and carrots were swimming in a sweet sauce. The entire plate tasted like dessert rather than dinner. I barely touched it and simply had it boxed to take home so we could wash off the sauces ourselves. My husband ordered the bouillabaisse, which had the opposite problem--it was surprisingly bland and lacked the rich seafood flavor one expects from that classic dish. Rather than complain yet again, he also boxed it up so we could season it ourselves at home. By 8:30 on a Sunday evening we were still hungry and began searching for another restaurant, only to discover that most nearby kitchens were closing at 9:00. We ended up grabbing Chinese takeout just so we could have something to eat on our wedding anniversary. The evening became even more disappointing considering the cost. We ordered a $150 bottle of Cabernet, bringing our bill to approximately $300 before tip. Spending that amount for a celebratory dinner and then leaving hungry to find another meal elsewhere is not an experience I ever expected. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I generally give restaurants every opportunity to make things right. In this case, however, the problems extended well beyond a single dish. Between the mishandled soup, the excessively sweet entrées, the bland bouillabaisse, and ultimately having to find another dinner after spending hundreds of dollars, this was an anniversary dinner we will remember for all the wrong reasons. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because it has the potential to be much better than what we experienced.

I can…read moreunderstand the last five since COVID, but the food and beers available have always been so reliably enjoyable it just surprises me we missed out on the other five years. This visit was once again right up there with all the previous ones. Everything was solid good - service, food, and beer. I had no hesitation in deciding to order a Left Hand Milk Stout draft ($8.50) before I even looked at the food menu. My wife had a Club Soda ($3.45). She also chose the wood fired Di Parma Pizza ($18.53) topped with arugula, prosciutto, parmesan, and a balsamic glaze. I got to try it also the next day since half of it came home with us. It was quite tasty. I felt like having a burger and went with the Smokehouse Burger ($17.50). It was so nice to have our server ask me how I wanted it cooked. The kitchen served it a little less than the medium rare that I requested, but I'm generally shy about asking for rare so, I was quite pleased with the level of doneness. The patty was actually very lightly compressed which was a nice throwback from the smash burger style that has become more popular in recent years. The toppings of fried onions, grilled jalapeño, smoked mozzarella, and BBQ sauce added delicious flavors, texture, and umami. Totally enjoyable! We were so happy to revisit DTCT.

Our breakfast was delicious and definitely lived up to the reputation The Silo has for hearty portions and classic breakfast food. The cinnamon roll was the real star for me. It was absolutely HUGE and really good -- warm, sweet, and packed with cinnamon flavor. Definitely something I'd recommend getting if you visit. The Silo is also more than just a restaurant. There's a large gift shop and country-store area with all kinds of goodies, including their famous fresh-made cider donuts, fudge, candy, and other unique items. It makes the whole visit feel like an experience rather than just stopping somewhere for breakfast. Great food, generous portions, friendly service, and a really cool atmosphere. Definitely a 5-star breakfast spot, and I'd happily come back the next time I'm in the Queensbury/Lake George area!

We came around 1pm on a Saturday and it took 35 minutes for a table of two. While we were being walked back, there were quite a few empty tables, but we eventually realized it's because the kitchen was so backed up. The biscuits are delicious. Soft, fluffy, and fried on the griddle! They were delicious. The chicken and biscuit appetizer was very good, but the gravy was not. Fries came out pipping out and plentiful. The soup of the day was split pea soup with lots of ham. Absolutely fantastic according to my wife. The cider donuts are where it's at. I don't like apple cider or cake-like donuts, but these were amazing. They were dense inside, yet still fluffy. They sell like hot cakes too.
