I'd give it 4-1/2 stars, but tipped the scale to 5 for the purposes of this review. We just returned from three nights at the Seaside Inn, room #1. It was a great facility and we enjoyed our stay very much!
This was more like an Airbnb type of experience than a true bed and breakfast. Checking in was very convenient, with codes for the front door and room being texted an hour before arrival.
The room has plenty of space, and the bathroom is VERY large. There's a big, deep jacuzzi bathtub, separate shower, two sinks, two closets, and separate toilet area. The decor is unique, and we had everything we needed. The room opened onto a bay side covered balcony with chairs.
The breakfast that's provided is a basket full of muffins, scones, and fruit; all on the first day, and was plenty to last for our entire stay of three days and nights. It isn't a home cooked, sit down breakfast like a bed and breakfast normally would be. However, the owners make that completely clear before you book the room, and remind you of this several times.
There were enough towels there on the first day to last two people for three days, however, we didn't have easy access to additional towels, had we needed any extras. No one makes up the bed, takes out the trash, etc. However, that also means that you don't need to tip a maid.
The rest of the house is nice and roomy, as well. This would be a great location for a family reunion or other group gathering. There are five separate bedrooms, a large living area, small sitting area, large kitchen, and two dining areas adjacent to the kitchen on either end.
On one of the nights when we were there, a group of people were having a get together in the living room and out on the pier. We could barely hear them, even though the television they were watching backed up to a wall of our room. There's enough parking for the people staying there, but they don't allow additional visitors, and there wouldn't be room for additional cars.
It's a short walk to the boardwalk--only four houses down. One could easily park for the week and reach nearly everything you want by walking.
When we visit the area again, we'll definitely want to stay here! read more
